Methylcellulose is a laxative. They use a laxative to make their meringue?! Remind me not to eat at their restaurant!

Gail’s dress reminded me of the peacock outside.

The fabric was almost identical to my eighty-year old auntie’s favorite shirt! She wears it to every family gathering. 😂

Helena had her first (hilarious) acting job on What We Do in the Shadows.

Always fun to see shows I like intersect. Lilith as Nadja was played by Helena, the goth baker from GBBO.

I get that some people like that loose casual look (usually the same people who spend 45 minutes creating the bedhead look and wear glasses without prescription lenses as an accessory)
🤣🤣🤣

I am hoping ghost nadja in a doll ends up with ghost gregor in a doll. Very Chuckie in Child’s Play vibes.

Crickets scream the future. Rabbit I can understand. But veal brains? I guess as long as there’s a dairy industry, there will be veal. Might as well eat their brains.
When will cheftestants learn preparing something two or three ways is asking for trouble?- 1

Call me crazy, but those whacky designs on a runway by regular designers are usually modified in some way to be accessible for purchase, right?
I would hope so, right?

a look inspired by Hasidim was not going to be high fashion
Yup. There’s no way Hasidic-inspired could be high fashion. /s1990s Gaultier would like to have a word with you.

I'm really getting into this and I don't know if it's because it's just something easy to take my mind off the outside world or what.
Right? I feel like if this came out a few months ago I would have watched the first episode and been meh about it. But the show has sucked me in now.

I guess I'm in the minority here because I'm having a hard time finding anything to like this season. The humor seems forced and silly, worse than the kids' season. Clinton (who I actually do like) gets on my nerves every time he opens his mouth. Maybe it's the mental state I'm in right now, 2020 is not playing nice with the world, that I see annoying instead of the enjoyable. But I won't continue to inflict my malaise on those of you that enjoy it. Sorry to be Debbie Downer.
I agree. The humor is not humorous. Last week with the keyboard cat meme circa 2007 was a low point. I’m tired of the constant forced puns. It does feel like previous seasons were just more fun.

It reminded me of whenever Lego sets come with stickers to add to the bricks. In theory, it's so easy to put a rectangular sticker on a rectangle. In reality, they usually end up at least a tiny bit crooked.
Yes! It’s so frustrating.

I’m glad I’m not into gambling because I was wrong on my guess for the final three.
Rosa likes making the same fish, doesn’t she. They were off-putting to say the least in this context and made it look like the toilet needed to be cleaned. 💩 -
I thought it was funny how the judge said making an elevator that works out is hard. What terrible advertising for lego! ”You need to be a lego master to get the moving parts to work!” 🤣

I thought the winner's portrait made the sitter look terrified.
I’d also look terrified if someone scraped off half my face. 😆😆😆

Rosalind did get some nice colors from the firing, but I agreed with the judges about the shape as well as the size. On a personal note, I can't stand when reality show contestants bring God into whether or not they're going to be eliminated. I can't believe in a higher being who is micromanaging who's going to win a reality show.
Agreed. Also did anyone else notice they showed Claire and Rosa without makeup but the first shot of Rosalind after camping out all night she already had full makeup?

Meh. Wasn’t a fan of any of the finalists, and I am never a fan of returning artists.
Can’t remember seeing pyrography on previous series, but that was an amazing likeness. -

Lol. Frank’s was so much better it was laughable. I had such hopes for this show. I must be blind; I think Cassie should have been beaten by Nikki & Ju too. 🤷♀️
Totally in agreement!!

Does anyone else dislike the artists who only draw from their cellphone or tablet? I feel it is disrespectful to the sitter who is holding still for four hours (!) and they never look at them after they take their photo. Zooming in and copying a still image is not the same as drawing a portrait of a live person. It’s been a pet peeve of mine since I started watching the show.

I love reading people’s spoiler theories for this show. Some are likely to be far more exciting than the writers actually come up with!

Doesn't this show pay for all the wedding stuff? Are they just pretending they have to pay for the outfits themselves?
I got the feeling the show was willing to spend x amount on the weddings which includes fake flowers. Anything above and beyond is out of pocket for the couples. Not a surprise to anyone, Amber wants above and beyond despite being jobless, heavily in-debt, and happily spending her day drinking wine and netflixing.

I might be a big baby, but I turned it off. When did Star Trek turn into the next Saw or Hostel?

I couldn’t get into it. Loved the original season. Well except for killing off Dana and the murder mystery ending. This episode didn’t draw me in. I’ll give it another try next week. Who knows.

S01.E10: The Cause the Cure
in I May Destroy You
I’m not embarrassed to admit I Was sobbing during Kwame’s hug and again as the credits rolled. Michelle Greenidge as her mother nailed that scene.
I thought Fleabag was amazing, but this show was on another level. Wow.
