After watching the Long Long Trailer, I have no interest in towing a 5th wheel!

I recently watched that movie & thought the same. Interesting to see a drive I've made before it was swamped with people. And no, I have no interest in towing anything even half as long. I once nearly got nudged off the road by someone moving into my lane forgetting he was pulling a trailer.

There's something very "Housewives of " about her, and not in a good way, if there IS a good way in that direction.  Camera zoomed in on her at the end in such a way her lips scared me almost as much as ButtBiscuit's Nostrils of Doom.

Her teeth seem to be too big for her mouth and make it hard for her to pronounce some words. Probably a new set of veneers like the Housewives have and she hasn't gotten used to them yet.

I made a comment on the first episode of Amazon's Project-Runway-Clone that Heidi Klum was wearing a long sleeve jacket over a turtleneck that had an exposed midriff. Of course that is LA for you. Can that possibly be a thing in Indiana????

My niece is going to college in Indianapolis and based on her SM photos, apparently it is a thing.

Me too!  Even though most of my teeth are crowned, that kind of candy hurts my teeth!

I wonder if Janelle thinks PlexAss will cancel all those sugar (empty) calories?  😁

    Great minds!  😁

Just LOOKING at it makes my teeth hurt and I haven't even bitten into one in over 50 yrs!

Personally I have had it with the personal reno projects and the phony deadlines/drama involved. If they thought it was a good idea to have their different show hosts do this IMO they were sadly mistaken. I couldn't be less interested or more bored.

I couldn't agree more. We want to see renos that might inspire things we would could do or aspire to. Not watch rich TV personalities further enriching themselves with unique and often dumb or poorly executed projects.

One possibility for why several shows have done this is with the uncertainties of Covid lockdowns & supply problems, they don't have to coordinate constantly changing schedules with buyers outside of their families & work crews. But it is getting old. Very old.

When did Janelle sell her LV house? Maybe she bought the RV so she wouldn't have to pay taxes on the full price of selling her home?

This is the Browns we're talking about - they never plan ahead to save money on things like taxes, homes, utilities, etc. She sold her LV house in 2019, months after they bought the Plague Pass property and moved to Flagstaff in August 2018. That was the second rental she'd been in since they moved to Flagstaff and then bought the RV. Now she's in a third rental in Flag since Savanah didn't like living in the RV in the middle of nowhere in Summer 2021. She didn't get her driver's licence until after that, I think. Poor kid.

I remember discussions about the trailer a pretty long time ago (I probably participated--I've lived fulltime in a motorhome for 19 years now and know a thing or two about it), so I was surprised to see her talking about buying it.  I really wondered if I was losing my mind, or time traveling, or maybe she was buying her second one?  But now I get it--the trailer talk from before was real time, and not on the show.  What we're now seeing on the show happened a while back.  What a relief.

Garrison also bought an old trailer and fixed it up, but in real time has since bought a fixer-upper house. He's handy and probably could make money on both if/when he sells them.

I’m not sure about the wife question.  If you’re LDS and sealed in the Temple, there’s the unsealing, but with AUB……idk.  It seems they are playing it loose these days.

I think they brought up "the Lord" for the first time in a couple of years on Oct 2nd's show. They want the Lord to help guide them through this fambly transition.  Perhaps they should have asked for guidance before things got this bad!

They start to lose value the minute you drive them off the lot.

And she was told that it was the last one left available in the US, so it was probably a deluxe version, more than she really needed, with a hyper-inflated purchase price during Covid. Post-Covid there's probably a glut of slightly used RVs available for purchase.

From SM it appears that she never bought a 1 ton truck to tow it and instead paid the very helpful dealer to haul it out to the Plague Pass and back into storage at the end of summer. She also had to pay to be supplied on site with water, sewage services, genrerator(?) and battery service, RV repairs, etc.

Some awesome sleuth said that Janelle paid 82K for the 5th wheel. However, she was offered to buy the rental at an amazing cost. Why wouldn't you do that? Spend the next year or two fixing it up and flipping it and make a nice profit, then build on the land? So Kody said that in order to build, you have to have the land paid off, so what is stopping the start of at least two of the houses, since from what I read here that he paid cash for two of the lots?

Whenever they showed Janelle's rennal, all I could see was what bad shape the roof was in - wavy roof line, warped shingles, etc. Fixing the roof would be #1 to making sure it didn't deteriorate further, and ranch houses have large roofs that are costly to replace.  And I'd have an expert check the foundation and do a full inspection to make sure the "good deal" was not a money pit. With the boys & 3 dogs living there, renovating the inside wouldn't have been a priority and she'd have a place to live and some equity to borrow against. Water under the bridge. Does anyone remember the address so we can see what it looks like now? I only remember the street being a woman's name.

  11. I think they only need 3 wives to get to a higher echelon of heaven.  Kootie can't afford for another one to leave so he is talking harshly to Christine and trying to get Janelle & Meri to get back to complying with patriarchy.  But M&J now enjoy their freedom to travel at will.
