Ysabel favors Christine, with the same nose, mouth, etc. So Ysabel is going to age just like Christine. And Maddie looks fine when she fixes herself up.

Hopefully Ysabel will see how Christine's skin is aging and use sunscreen.  I'm fair like Christine but have been wearing sunscreen or limiting exposure to a few minutes without it since I was a baby. I'm 17.5 yrs older than Christine but my skin looks younger than hers (and I've lost about the same amount of weight).

I’d have empathy for Janelle’s struggles if only she’d drop the health coach gig. We all have days where we are tired, feeling uninspired and maybe a bit lazy. The thought of cooking is the furthest thing from one’s mind. Solution? There are veggie-heavy, actually healthy frozen meals for those moments, just in case Janelle was wondering. Costs less than takeaway food. A lazy moment one can feel okay about.

Another solution is to make her own "frozen dinners" from leftovers. With no family at home anymore, I still make huge stews/soups when I feel like cooking and freeze the rest in individual servings.  I use unprocessed foods that I like, including several vegs (even some I don't like but are nutritious & their flavours/textures are masked in the stew).  Good even in summer when you're tired and don't want to cook in the heat - just nuke for 3 minutes & voila, dinner.  If she is still using that Co-op vegetable delivery service, that is a great way to use them all before they go bad.

I'm surprised that Bradley Whitford is only 3 generations from the Civil War. History class always made the War sound so far away.

Sometimes they count "third great grandfather" to just count grandfathers, not including the father.

  4. Mina wastes a lot of time telling the buyer what isn't there any more rather than focusing on what IS there.

Every show now seems to have expensive "mistakes". If none of them knows that flashing is required to prevent water from getting into the exterior walls, what other mistakes have been made that nobody noticed?  That would scare me away from even looking at one of their amateur construction projects.

  5. I'd always thought the Chancellor mausoleum was on the edge of town on Foothill Road and that Chancellor Park was in the center of downtown, but then one day someone walked out the back door and out the back gate beyond where Philip's grave was and ended up in Chancellor Park. I'd love to see a map of where all the key buildings are supposed to be, relative to each other. With a scale bar.

Should we take bets on when Elisabeth will be invited back?  I'd guess it would be over the dead bodies of Whoopi, Joy, and Sunny.

Hopefully they won't have her on again until the View's 50th Anniversary year.

If you want to know about why she was accused of witchcraft, here is another article about the trial that is a bit shorter to read than the other one I posted above:

Thanks! It sounds like the servant may have been the witch in the story if cats were speaking to HER!  She accused multiple people of being witches, but she was the common denominator.

So Plexus own directions say it’s meant for Children ages 4 - 18 but Maddie gives it to her (Not yet) 3 yr old and it sounds like she’s been doing it for a while. 🙄

Sickening.  Why can't they get summer hydration out of a garden hose or kitchen sink like normal children? In between 'studying' to be a medical practitioner before she switched subjects, Maddie was advising her Plexass victims on SM. A couple people asked if it was safe to use while pregnant or lactating and Maddie said it was good for them even though the Plexass website officially said it was not for use by the pregnant or lactating.  If I feel I need some electrolytes, I sprinkle some Half Salt on my food or in my water, tea or coffee for 1/10,000th of the price of Plexass.

Did they say why his ancestor was accused of witchcraft? Was she supposed to have killed the neighbor's cows or something? I don't recall hearing a reason.

I didn't hear a reason either, nor can I find a reason online.  "Why" is a more interesting question, like the case on his paternal side where the abusive soldier wanted to prevent his discarded wife from getting half his pension, but they found out why she got it.  I was kind of hoping the judge would also make him pay her for child support for the past years with no support from dad.

  10. The cheaply gentrified McMansions also mean that people who live in the neighbourhood can no longer afford to live there and get forced out as their lots become overlooked and shadowed by the monstrosities next door.

  11. I wonder if any female suspected witches ever sank?  Women have higher body fat % than men, so it is hard not to float. Though a scrawny woman might sink - though they can look more witch-like. The anti-witch laws just sounded like a way to get rid of people that annoy you, by hanging (floats) or drowning (sinks).  I cannot imagine people rushing to save a drowning witch because she might rise up and float. There is even a Zappa song about a ship arriving too late to save a drowning witch.

Putting out a video and hoping that Chris Rock would accept this type of proxy apology that doesn't involve Smith taking real responsibility for his obnoxious, immature behavior is just self-serving.

And it basically says that Chris Rock has to come to Will Smith to get an apology, which probably wouldn't be any more sincere. Why should Chris bother and indulge the narcissist?

Brett Watermen recently posted on Instagram that Restored has even renewed and new episodes will start airing soon.

I cannot wait to hear him call clients and co-workers "Dude", "Bud" & "Hey Buddy" again. Goofy, but endearing. And to see his new authentic renovations, of course.

Personally I wouldn't take that risk just to keep up with Mykelti. But that is just me...

and most rational people would do the same. Or some make use of everything they have learned and adopt or foster kids with special needs (but I don't think that is in Maddie's DNA).

  15. Audj was nice and more attentive to the younger Brown kids and grandkids than Leo in footage from their visits. But having only one attentive parent and one narcissist parent with ramen hair has been hard on the Brown kids, so hopefully Audj & Leo will stick to canine children.

Also--repainting cabinets that have always been painted is much different than painting dark cabinets that are factory-varnished.  That is not a job for the average DYer that is in a hurry to finish.  In some areas of the country the varnish and paint necessary are not permitted for home use.  In my previous home I had my kitchen cabinets refaced, which meant new cabinet doors and drawer fronts and the facing material on the other areas.  I was pleased, and they held up well, but it was most definitely a job for a professional.  These realtors that tell the house hunters you can "just paint the cabinets--it's an easy fix" is giving bad advice, at least in my experience.  It is not an easy "weekend project"--at least if you want a pleasing outcome.

In my previous house with very dark cabinets, built in 1973, I planned to reface the cabinets and build more to match. The carpenter noticed that the solid maple doors weren't stained dark brown as I had assumed, they had a wax finish that could easily be removed without damaging the wood, so that's what we did. And then he stained them a more pleasing pecan colour. The doors were taken off and done in the shop and only the cabinet frames done in my kitchen.
