Thinking about his daughter keeps him awake? Some folks will do anything to be perceived as relevant.

Did you know Johnny Western sued the "Stand By Me" production for unauthorized use of his "Paladin" song? I think Rob Reiner thought the thing was probably in the public domain by then and didn't check. LOL
I've been watching Have Gun - Will Travel on PlutoTV and they edited the theme song, Half of it's missing. Actually makes no sense, as it streams without commercials - it's not like they need the extra time for ads.

Looked like he's on a riverboat and not and ocean liner.
I think they sailed the ocean liner into NYC and are taking an excursion type boat across the lake into Canada.
Acorn dropped the first two episodes today, so I didn't have to wait for the conclusion. LOL.
I can't help thinking that in today's child-centric world, Julia would have been at that dinner, too, with Susannah, expecting everyone to enjoy the presence of a baby. Wise of her to stay home with the kid.

I've got The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly playing on my mental jukebox. I've been on a Clint Eastwood binge lately, starting with Rawhide. I only WISH it were Edmund Fitzgerald.

Can someone please stop the theme song of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp from going through my mind? It hasn’t stopped since Wednesday!
Try "Rawhide." Head 'em up; move 'em out.

The first time I saw Cirque du Soleil, a woman sat in front of me wearing such a strong, distinctive scent. I don't know what it was, but if I ever catch a whiff of it, I'm immediately transported back to the blue & gold striped tent, watching acrobatics.

Maybe Todd wasn't good to his grandfather or his grandfather hated him enough not to leave him the summer house.
But he DID get the train set!

One, no asterisk. Bummer. I'm gonna go cuddle the cat to make us both feel better.

I'll have to check that out!
I also like Worldle (https://worldle.teuteuf.fr/ ) and its companions of Statele and Flagle (and Angle!). And Globle/capitals. They keep updating them to add more data points, like population, area (size), and languages spoken. This is the Worldle I use: https://worldledaily.com/
It's interesting to "drive" around the Google Streets to try to figure out where you are. Sometimes, you'll see a flag outside a governmental building that might give you a clue, sometimes the name of a restaurant gives it away...

I recently watched "The Gambler: The Luck of the Draw" (don't judge) and it had Diamond Jim Brady promoting boxing bouts (shows? exhibitions?) with LOTS of wagering, so, ignoring the "showdown" part of the clue, that's who I said.
(The movie, in addition to horrible actor Kenny Rodgers, had a bunch of old-time TV stars reprising their roles, including Hugh O'Brian as Earp.)

Whoo-hooo! Hayley Mills!! I've adored her all our lives since, of course, Pollyanna.

I ran the Steve Martin category. He holds a special place in my heart from when he used to open for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

I enjoy the cat treat Temptations ad asking, "Is your cat too cool for you?" with Mittens (?) in the limo. What amuses me most is the guy next to the cat and his eyeroll after Mittens ghosts confused Cat Mom. Didn't notice it the first few times I saw the ad, but it's a cute touch.
But he'll never be as cool as Chewy's Mr. Mumbles ("You got a train set, Todd!")

Tonight, I had no clue for FJ. I'm not sure I even understood the clue! I wish I could say I was distracted or something, but I have no excuse.
The AARP website has a new word game; I was definitely distracted.

I don't imagine Britbox will carry it - they don't do Oz. Acorn will probably pick it up.

Yeah, the dead husband was named Ralph. There was inconsistency in pronouncing Honoria's name, too. Most folks, including her, said "On OR ria" but Amy said, "On or REE a."
I liked the entire episode but for the creepy drama teacher.
-
I just watched Written in Blood again and something Honoria says has always bothered me... Amy's in the kitchen slicing up a white vegetable (Parsnip?) and Honoria takes over after Amy announces she's leaving. Honoria starts ranting about "blood and bone. Blood counts. Bone counts." But Amy is NOT a Lyddiard by blood nor bone; she's one by marriage. Honoria's off her rocker anyway, but the way she hated Amy, you'd think she'd be more than happy to disown her, not claim her to be "blood and bone."

Thanks for sharing. Now go take a shower, you slob.
I've always wondered if we stink inside. When a surgeon opens us up, do we emanate ungodly odors? Stuff that we emit, e.g. farts, burps, etc., all stink - does it follow that our insides are smelly?

I must've missed something - why was Alton there with a gun in the first place?
The Commissioner in the hospital gave me flashbacks to my gall bladder surgery. Yikes.

That commercial confuses me, too. Was that the end? Were they never going to see each other again?
Yes, she was indeed dumping him because of his invisible plaque psoriasis. The old lady winking at him doesn't mind it; she wants to get it on with Ted.

I've been watching videos on Facebook made by Gideon Patinkin-Grody featuring his parents. OMG, those old farts are hilarious. Mandy & Kathryn are so funny answering questions Gideon gives them. In one of the videos, Kath mentions stuff she doesn't like about herself. #1 was her face becoming pudding. I know what she means.

...because for damn sure the people that work there don't know anything. I once asked an employee if they had "these cabinet knobs, not in polished nickel, but in chrome?" He had no idea WTH "Chrome" is other than Google's browser. Remember when our cars had LOTS of chrome on them?

Death In Paradise - General Discussion
in Death In Paradise
I like Andrina. I wish she'd stay around.
I think the perps could say they each didn't know that the other did it, too, but they just added a wee bit of the poison just to make him sick. Who knew they'd ALL do it so it would total a deadly accumulation?
