This was awkward. Mika made some snide remarks about “Elise Jordan’s political party” and her being a Republican, then she sort of sneer-smiled at her. And then Elise Jordan said she’s an Independent now and won’t stand by and be a part of something with all these men being sexual harassers. And then they switch to Mika in her DC hide out glaring at Elise. So. Did I miss something? It’s possible. Why does Mika seem to hate Elise today? And really, Elise, it took all these years and then sexual harassment to see what the Republican Party became?

Mika just blamed the Democrats for Trump because Hillary was such a weak candidate.

She in particular doesn’t seem to have much use, or patience, for her mother, so I doubt she’d be down for Mika hitching herself to her all of August. Lol. I wonder how her girls feel about their mother being absent during their childhoods (she’s admitted it herself, so that’s not just us snarking) so she could carry on an affair on national television and in book signing venues across the country, only to hardly bother with work the moment they are out of the house and on their own. I’m petty, I’d be salty and have absolutely zero use for her if I was in those shoes.

Can you imagine the train wreck that will ensue if #metoo comes for Joe and it comes from another woman on the network other than Mika when they had already started their affair? The personal and professional fustercluck would be huge. It would probably look a lot like now, actually.

I’ve decided, if Joe isn’t back on set by Labor Day, he is the MSNBC Farter. Nothing will convince me otherwise. ?

That was so strange on so many levels. If Mika isn’t even going to show up anymore I wish they’d drop the facade that she’s a “liberal Democrat.” At best, she’s deeply centrist.

Joe just likes to show his support of the accused sexual harassers.

The quoted Tweet is a Blind Item post about an anchor at MSNBC/30 Rock with a serious gas problem (it was sorta gross to read in the morning, ha). So Max Weiss was just joking that the farter Blind Item is a ploy to distract people from Mika and Joe’s whatever-this-absence-is. A fashion editor from WaPo replied, though, so media folk are starting to take notice of their, ahem, scheduling issue.

I don’t think they broke up (yet, ha), but I do think they’re probably on and off fighting and being messy about it.

Is Joe’s This Is Football actually successful? It’s woefully out of date, yeah? Chelsea and Liverpool haven’t had a match in months, and they won’t play again until late September.

Ok, Morning Joe intern minions, KYV labourers, we know you’re here, so hear me out and relay this back to Mika. Her mother’s trees made of trees are cool enough, I guess. They’re huge and I’m sure they take a lot of time. But. She’s been showing them for decades. The same thing. Over and over. I know she has some huge religious pieces. For the love of god. Go for that. They are definitely more interesting, more detailed and more unique. Plus, that way Mika won’t have to shill for a gallery on her Instagram. That’s a really bad look, I wouldn’t have even done that right out of school, and I have a feeling her mother would be crazy embarrassed by it.

Somehow Joe is even worse at reading the news and doing the transition things. By my unofficial count: Mika’s at 50 days off since January 2018. The last time she and Joe sat in the same studio? July.

Perhaps their relationship with the tabloids will be part of the collateral to come out of the Trump-Pecker (tehe) thing.

Same. It is very curious. I don’t think they’re together physically right now, since they could have (and have) done the bunker and the random studio Mika’s in (DC? It looks like DC) simultaneously. Plus it’s just weird they haven’t been on the show together in ages, his and her bunkers or in studio. I’ll speculate wildly and say they’re fighting about something. Lol

Mika adds tons to this show. I had so little to happily snark about for the last six weeks when she was in rehab (or where ever).
