Are we just willfully ignoring the interviews of Joe saying he hand picked her for the job and was responsible for her hiring after seeing her on late night teleprompter duty? Phil Griffin was/is neither hiring nor firing her without Joe’s input. Ok, except we aren’t talking about you, so I don’t really get why this is relevant? The conversation isn’t age difference, it’s power dynamic, the workplace, and all that goes with that. You can be the same age as your sexual harasser (not that that’s what I’m arguing at this point, but for some reason completely unbeknownst to me, this has been thrown into left field).

That is odd. The daughter Mika pretty blatantly doesn’t favor as much graduated from Dartmouth, and Joe goaded about shelling out a small fortune for his daughter to briefly, it seems, attend an Ivy-pipeline prep school. That’s the class he seeks.

Dating the boss who both hired you and gave you his raise, not mentioning what played out on air before us all, is pretty textbook... *shrugs* Imbalance of power dynamics in the workplace does not have an age limit, as far as I’m aware.

Is it getting too far afield to ask how this conspiracy theory got started? Is it part of the Q Anon genre of conspiracy theories?

It always drives me nuts because she has some cool stuff, but it’s never featured. The only thing she’s done that I don’t find derivative or plain are her massive crucifix pieces. Those are haunting and have so much interwar Central European influence that the rest of her stuff lacks. This utilitarian bench and bowl stuff is just boring.

Does anyone else find it weird Mika’s daughters got Mika/Bamba’s housekeeper (and their former nanny, IIRC) the same Mother’s Day gift as they got the woman who birthed them? I’ve seen her younger daughter leave passive aggressive, bordering on mean lol, comments on her IG that then disappear pretty quickly afterwards.

Has hard hitting journalist extraordinaire and champion of women’s rights Scoop Brzezinski addressed Lack and NBC News’ latest #metoo tangle yet? While her husband goes off camera any time a potential #metoo interview comes up? 🤔

Joe is allegedly very close to Lack, and he helped Lack get more conservatives on the network. Joe is also allegedly very close to Noah Oppenheim, who was slated for Lack’s position when he retired but was tossed aside yesterday as the network cleaned house.

The dude from the Palmer Report’s conspiracy theory is that the move was forced due to MSNBC’s weekend Biden coverage. And he does make an interesting point, if it was due to the network’s sexual harassment culture this would have come years ago. I just read that too, Kemper. I think we just got our backstory to why Mika has been on the verge of a meltdown. ETA I just read the NBC release. It’s all over Twitter, if you wanna search for it. They buried the news and offered zero platitudes about his time in charge. We are about to learn something big. 🤔

This isn’t meant as a politically-tinged question, so I hope it doesn’t come off that way. But I wonder why Mika made such a big shift from not believing Ford (or even wanting to discuss Ford’s allegations) to, a few months later, dying on the proverbial hill to believe Reade. All while still keeping up her IG photos of Biden hugging on her deceased friend’s daughter. It’s such odd behavior that I can’t make much sense of.
