1. Sonny wakes up, sees Port Sherry still asleep and hungover, as he has kept watch overnight for many hours.

Sonny reads text message about Carly.

Sonny proceeds to berate, loudly, an unconscious, drunken Pinot Grigio for personally bringing Carly in for questioning.

    smh......

  2. Oh, we can tell this is a Sonnycentric Sonnyverse, because there's no mention of Jax, who would have taken over ELQ and bed Carly, adopting Michael in the process. We still get Joss.

I still think a lawful Sonny would have become SuperCop!Sonny, the envy of Agatha Christie detectives and sleuths.

I don't know about that. I think without Jason in the mob she would have stuck to Tony or managed to get along with AJ.

I'm wanking that TB!Carly would have left fat AJ for Professor Lorenzo.

I would have liked hearing that Michael went by his middle name, as AJQ3.

I didn't hate this episode as much as I thought, but I thought Cop!Sonny would have risen above Sergeant, to Detective, just out of Sonnyness. I could see him becoming the Most Powerful Police Commissioner on the Eastern Seaboard.

On the plus side, we get Britt married to Patrick and mother to her own Ben.

Well I see two people beat me to the news about the ‘special’ Sonny show. I don’t know why he’s imagining a life without the mob. He’s said time and again that this is the life he’s always wanted. The money, power...he loves it!

Don't forget those anonymous ten other people who would be much much much worse if they took over....

I'm several days behind, so forgive me if this has already been addressed... I assume that this revelation serves the purpose of pointing blame at Marg’s mom. See, Marg, if your skanky ho mom hadn’t been cheating on your crooked dad who already deserved to die because of crookedness, Scully wouldn’t have been compelled to kill him and claim skanky ho jezebel for himself. So it was Mom’s fault. And also kind of Dad’s. But definitely not Sonny’s.

That's perfect Stella choplogic when it comes to Jordan and her Sainted Thomas. No wonder she and Sonny get along.

But did they give those survival rates? I thought when the trials were first brought up it was mentioned that Oscar's prognosis was dire, that the treatment had a low rate of success and could potentially kill him. At 50%, that is a pretty good gamble to make especially as he has an inoperable tumor with a high mortality rate.

Right now Oscar is supposedly 100 percent going to die. So why not give the trial a chance? We don't have a time frame for his survival (i.e., no one has said he has X months to live), but I doubt he'll be dead three days after the trial begins. And given that all he's doing is moping around, any extra time he has to live isn't being used productively anyway.

The better story would be that Oscar is actively checking things off his bucket list and he doesn't want the trial to get in the way of that. But instead we get this mess.

Agreed. And as far as the trial, as a wise Homer and a wise Dumb and Dumber once said, "So you're saying that there's a chance...."

Can West Coast summarize what East Coast missed due to the Special Report?

That was hilarious! First, a lightweight like Kristina is chugging from a giant bottle of booze. And she doesn't even hide it. Who even does that?

I saw that and thought, "At least someone on the show knows how to properly watch it." #drunkintheafternoon

You know Kristina getting drunk will be Julian's fault. And Ava's.

Carly wanting to reform Ferncliff. She does realize it is for the criminally insane, like Heather? No way this will come back and bite her?

Wasn't that supposed to be the original story? Sonny did this under Scully's orders?

And, the original was that he was just dumping the body and gun. Someone else killed him.

Calling it that Papa Jerome did this.

  9. It's a good thing for the PFMs that Nelle has the shittiest lawyer to wrap up her storyline and have her go away forever.

As Franco listed who would be hurt if Jason went to prison, I replied, "And that's bad because....?"

So Spinelli found all this dirt on Zinfindel's dad. Wouldn't this further connect Sonny to Frank Smith and Joe Scully and everything mobbish?

Sonny and Jason are still a podcast series away from someone hitting paydirt, and it wouldn't be going after friends or family. Follow the money between the PCPD moles and the blue collar workers who control city resources. All you need is one flip, or one sloppy coercion....

  10. I'm sorry. Even with the chain of command and separate tests, I'm still not buying Sasha as Nina's daughter. She looks too.... Cassadine. And it's not Valentin's doing.

I would have been quite pleased if they got Hunter King as Sasha. Yes, I like injokes.

  11. (Pinot Grigio shows up at Morgan's grave)

CarSon: How DARE you defile this sacred ground with your vile presence!

PG: I came to visit my father's grave.

    (Commercial)

Me: I bet they'll object to her father being buried in the same cemetery.

    (Back to Show)

CarSon: How DARE you defile this sacred ground by burying your father in this sacred ground of our precious St. Morgan!

Me: Do I know this show or what?

This is also the last season and to not give Raj at least the potential for a happy ending would seem cruel. And despite his “asshole tendencies”. He is a born romantic so a happy ending for him is love.

First, we saw Raj unable to speak to women in the room without alcohol.

Next, we saw Raj trying to be a "ladies man" and weirding out any and all potential girlfriends with his skeevy behavior. (I'm still miffed that they never followed up with the Vet, and Drone Girl was because someone hit the Play Button just before final credits).

Now, we see Raj and Anu starting out, presumably to marriage and, then, love and a happy ending. Yeah, an arranged marriage, but not as off the mark as noted above with Sheldon/Amy and Howard/Bernadette.

So, we are at.... the Dawn of the Third Age of Koothrappali.

(Suck it, Lorre, some people DO watch it. :) )

I agree with this. But what I always go back to is the pass that Morgan and Kiki both got for doing the exact same thing during Operation Alcohol. They switched out Michael's medication for drugs that would impair him and he could have done untold harm to himself or others as a result. And instead of being dragged day in and day out, they got the lightest slap on their wrists and, outside of Ava's dream, it was never mentioned again. It's what I hate about Kiki and Ava's relationship, Kiki sitting in judgement of Ava given her own resume.

    * Michael didn't die.

    * It's Michael.

I was going to mention that "A Jerome didn't do it", but then I remembered Lauren is Ava's daughter, which technically makes her a Jerome, but Show is all but ready to retcon that.

Is there a rule that Carly has to be an obnoxious shrew to everyone she comes into contact with aside from a few people? I'm no fan of Ava but she was right when she said Jason would still be drugged up in Russia if it wasn't for her and it would be nice if they were to remember that every once in awhile. Ava didn't have to help Jason escape or use a phone in that facility and if I'm remembering it all correctly, she helped him at great cost to her own self by not getting the surgery she wanted to fix her face. Jason and Carly downplaying it to "she got [me] a paperclip" is obnoxious but sadly in character for both of them. Was that a rewrite when Jason said that he had helped her get the formula to fix her face? I vaguely remember Griffin helping her when she and then-Patient-Six got back to the States.

You're right, but Show can't hear you over Carly and Jason yelling about Ava killing Morgan.

Carly (to Ava): My son is dead because of you, get the hell out of my house!

Me: How come Monica never gets to say this to Sonny and Carly whenever they trample all over the house that Alan gave to her, AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I want to marry this post and have its baby, which will end up hidden in a tree.

As a Christian myself, I've also pondered the "salvation for octopus aliens" question. Well, without the octopuses. There are several possible answers to the question, but I don't know why Pastor Jeff wouldn't just say "I don't know". Seems to me that is the correct answer, since any other answer he would come up with would only be speculation.

Maybe Sheldon should ask a Jesuit:

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/the-vatican-on-space-the-discovery-of-intelligent-life-wouldnt-mean-theres-an-alien-jesus-somewhere-10433527.html

Short answer: Even though there's only one Incarnation of Jesus, if an octopus alien wants to be baptized, there is no reason to deny Baptism.

    I kind of liked it.

At least, I really liked the two endings with Raj getting his romantic proposal and Leonard yelling, "Hop in, Robin!"

As much as I was "Ewwww" with Stuart and Denise getting it on in the Wolowitz house, I was like "Fucking FINALLY!" after how many seasons that Stuart had a relationship that lasted more than two episodes.

    The coitus was just bonus.

(And, it was only the mood music; not the sounds of Stuart)

I was reading SOD the other day and it struck me that, when reading story teasers for shows I hadn't seen in years, like DOOL, I still had a good idea of which featured character was related to another and how, because the new characters taking the lead on those shows were ones that had been introduced as children and had grown up to take their place at the center of the show. Sami's son Will, Jennifer's daughter Abigail, and so on and so forth. On GH the new characters aren't connected to any "core" characters in any meaningful way. It's what happens when you methodically eliminate every major family except one from the canvas.

And when the show has the child of victim abjectly apologize to her for the horrible sin of being angry she murdered his parent.

They always are until they get added to the permanent cast. Then their performance goes to shit after three weeks. (Seriously, I remember reading these exact type of comments when Chloe Lanier did her one-off stint in the Luke flashback story).

And, when they were wrapping up the storylines with Nelle, CL was back to being en fuego with her performance.
