  1. A lot of parents think their kids' behavior is funny or adorable and everyone should think the same. But most people don't see whatever behavior as cute. I have an assistant at work that has a 4 year old and she is constantly telling me "the funniest" things her 4 year old did or said and I think to myself "all 4 year olds do that/say that."

The medical insurance is the worst part.     Even if they go for an independent plan that they're with now, it will probably cost a lot.      I think the reason they didn't go to the previous doctor was he moved out of the coverage area, and maybe out of the group network.   This doctor moves to Austin, then the same thing will probably happen, depending on the insurance plan they changed to.      I will resent Hazel's eye issues being a cliff hanger for the show, if that's what they're doing.    I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

OK, does anyone think that the airlines and airport won't rush the entire group, between flights, and hold the aircraft to Hawaii if necessary?     What kind of fools let five kids that age loose in the airport at check-in?    Hold the kids hands, not your stacks.     Why don't they pick the kids up in the airport?    Letting all of those kids run loose is ridiculous.

I was thinking the same thing when they were checking into the airport and getting on and off the plane. Each kid should have been carried by an adult. It would have been much quicker and efficient.

  3. He's stupid for wanting to quit his job and have his own business to not "miss out" on the quints growing up. Doesn't he realize that working for yourself usually always means working way more than working for someone else? And his kids aren't going to one day say "why wasn't dad at this event, that event?". My dad didn't come to most of my stuff, and I frankly didn't even think about it. He worked. Then Adam doesn't know what he wants to do, but knows he wants his own business? Sounds like he hasn't thought anything through.

Angela bothers me because she definitely seems like one of those white women like Kailyn from TM who think dating men of color gives them street cred or makes them rebellious when they're actually racist themselves. The only difference is most women go through that phase in high school or in their 20s, not during menopause.

Could be a midlife crisis. LOL!

But that is not Danielle’s look, she is more Tom boyish and into fitness. I don’t see her wear yoga pants that often outside of the house, she usually is in trendy jeans. For some fancy things she has worn dresses but she doesn’t wear them much.

The sponsor’s  kids clothes are okay for kids but the adult stuff is the same weird patchwork’s design.

I don't see why she can't throw on a pair of jeans at least. They are comfortable and make you look more put together than yoga pants.

I'm a non-smoker, but here in Alberta, packs of smokes are around $15 or more, depending on the brand. So if someone smokes a pack a day, that's over $5400 a year. If they smoke the 'better' brands, it's over $6500/yr

    Eek!

Maybe I'm generalizing, but it seems to me, at least for the people I see that smoke, it's always the poorest people who smoke - ones that can least afford it. I can't imagine spending that much money on something like that. I feel guilty spending $3.00 a day on my Monster Java coffee. That's nothing.

My guess is that since the other women (Mimi, Lili, Kiki, and Didi) have that type of nickname, it's just how they do nicknames.

My worries about Hazel are the eye condition.   I know they're taking it seriously, and having the top people in their area evaluate and treat her, her eye condition can cause lifelong issues.    I know it's probably their usual exaggerations for the show, but there are ominous hints they're building up to , and it may be another phony pregnancy story line, but in her case I'm afraid it isn't.

I know someone who had crossed eyes, and she had repeated surgeries, until she finally said enough when she was old enough.    That kind of issue can really eat away at your self esteem, and cause all types of problems from people who just can't stop commenting.

I was born with crossed eyes - but I also was born with Spina Bifida - a neurological defect which can cause this. I had 3 surgeries for it and now I have lazy eyes, and alternating vision that they tried to fix, but is just part of the neurological issues I have. I can live with it, it's just a weird thing with me - doesn't really affect me that much. I think they are making a bigger deal about it than it really is, but then I've had over 100 surgeries over the course of my lifetime, and eye surgery is probably one of the more minor ones I've had.

You're right but . . . the rest of the house is also mostly gray everywhere. Christina really hates color doesn't she? Even the baby's room is a wash of brown and gray earth tones.

My house is mostly gray also. I love it. To me it's much better than boring tan and beige that everyone seems to want. You can pair gray with any other color. ANY color. It is way more versatile than tan.

    Holy shit.

Could there be any more random and misplaced letter "Y"s in those names?

I'll boycott based on that alone.

Also, is this the new strategy to take care of these high number multiples that these parents know that they can't afford?  Plan on a reality show along with the birth?

What I'd like to know is why just because one or two shows with high order multiples was popular, they think we want 10 others. Same with all the shows now with people with dwarfism. We don't need to have 10 different iterations of the same thing.

I'm also old (almost 80) and fat...but my hair is white.  My name is very current and I'm told it's beautiful.   Try associating "Hazel," with the cute little quint who has some challenges ahead of her and needs all the kindness she can get.

Sorry, it's just my opinion - to my ears, it's not a good name at all. And I can't help that that is what I visualize when I hear the name. Sorry if my opinion offends you.

  11. The only name I don't like is Hazel. Ugly name. Reminds me of an old, fat, gray haired lady.

I was watc;hing an episode this morning and I've noticed that Danielle says "expecially" a lot. Someone needs to tell her it's "eSpecially".

Well, as my gender therapist told me, "You won't look like Sophia Loren.  The truth is that very few trans women look feminine. Not even Jazz, who went on hormone blockers as a child, let alone a 50 something, such as myself.

Very few transwomen have gender affirming surgery. It is best to imagine your penis  as a large clitoris. The penis was made for peeing after all.

It's not about his look, it's about his mannerisms and the way he moves, the way he carries himself. He totally has extremely  male/masculine mannerisms. I think he is confusing this with wanting to be a cross-dresser.

Holy crap, the interior of their house looks like a mausoleum. It's floor to ceiling gray marble and it really looks like the inside of a crypt. The back yard is beautiful but the inside of that house would creep me out.

I think what you are seeing is their outdoor kitchen. If you look through all 75 pictures on the second link posted, their actual kitchen has brown cabinets, grayish tan walls, and white counter tops. It would make sense that the outdoor kitchen would be floor to ceiling tile to withstand the elements.

  14. Troy just doesn't come across as a woman or feminine to me at all. I wasn't paying really close attention, but I swear he said he liked his penis and wanted to keep it so they can keep having sex. I'm sorry if I'm ignorant, but someone who just can't stand to be a man and just has to become a woman, wouldn't they want to get rid of the penis? I personally think he is confusing this with wanting to be a cross-dresser.

And I agree that Leslie just needs to suck it up and get a job. And yeah, she probably should have kept the wanting to be a woman thing to herself until her family was way more financially secure.

I actually really enjoyed the first episode because the potential bride and groom were, IMHO, very likable AND because there may be a PMS-family wedding to be planned in the not too distant future in that area so it was very enlightening to get a basic idea of some of the costs (except $750 for a solo singer/guitarist playing Hawaiian music???? I call complete BS, even if he played for the entire night ... unless they had to pay his airfare from Hawaii)

That price for the musician didn't surprise me. It costs upwards of $2500 to hire a 5 piece band where I live in the midwest.
