Ok. It’s fun to speculate and all but I saw nothing in the episode that remotely supports Jinelle specifically “prying,” “force(ing),” or any other type of nefarious behavior. In fact she’s probably the last person around that place I could’ve imagined acting that way. All we saw was a carefully edited scene that left out a lot of details and subsequently a lot of questions hanging in the air.

I don’t think playing Secret Agent in Charge on Project ‘Beautiful Storm’ was ever something Jinelle wanted to do. I’m thinking J couldn’t wait to get a thousand miles away from that whole dumpster-fire assignment of ‘helping’ VK.

Exactly. 'prying' 'forcing' is such loaded wording, especially when she did neither.  Not to mention, how much of it was set up for *le drama* of 'reality' tv?

It's a jerk move because he's not "picking on someone his own size." He'd say that to a cheerleader, maybe one of the photographers, but he wouldn't get in a Cowboys player's face and say that. Punk move.

I wouldn't put it past any footballer to say something like that to any other. Every hockey player i know has always gotten in the face of the opposition and whooped about something or other. has nothing to do with Maddie's size. likely just because she happened to be the person there.

So Jinelle called up a doctors office and asked if VK showed up, and the doctors office told her yes or no?   I don’t think that’s even legal actually - unless she’s VK’s guardian.   Like employers really don’t have the right to dictate/manage things like their employees going to doctors except for a situation like worker’s comp/injury on the job or them being cleared to dance/work.   Whether or not VK has a medical issue causing her to gain weight or not is none of their business and the whole situation was completely inappropriate and boundaries were overstepped.  That could be a another reason they aren’t holding it against her.   If she was too heavy she deserved to be cut and she was - the reason was inconsequential.

I don’t know.  More like she’s over a decade older than VK and isn’t going to see herself as part of her “peer group” like someone similar in age would see themselves as more of a peer leader role.

If I DNA a doctor's appt they call my house. it may even have been arranged through the DCC, is there doctor's coverage? in which case the doc's may well call to say 'hey, even though x didn't attend the appt, you're provider is still being charged for the appt'

@SmpIsimon mentioned it was Bridget, and that it was because she hadn't eaten enough 😞

Good old unrealistic societal and DCC body requirements strike again.  Of course it'll be a 'I was busy and forgot to eat/I didn't have time and i was so rushed today I missed lunch' rather than a likely more real 'I have to maintain weight so restrict my eating to a stupid degree considering I dance in texas heat for hours on end

For me, it always gave more support where I needed it, without making me feel like I couldn't breathe.  There are far better bras out there now (hello Enlite!), but for the longest time it always felt like I had to choose between fitting my chest, or....my chest.  I couldn't breathe in the sports bras that actually kept me from hitting myself in the face with my assets when I ran, so I improvised.  I had a LOT of bras, and did a LOT of laundry 😂

In other DCC bra-and-top-related discussion, I have no idea how the girls handle dancing in the semi-turtleneck tops they have going on this season.  They really are beautiful but that style would absolutely make me crazy - I can't handle anything touching the sides of my neck.  I can barely wear racerbacks, much less tops of those styles.  I'd constantly feel like I was choking *shudders*

I love a highneck back to a collar but if there is something against my throat, forget it, all bets are off, I want that garment off off off. again, dancers'd be used to it, but I always loathed any skating dress or costume that involved having my whole neck encased. sure it was very giving material and was never actually constricting, but it felt like it *would* be and I'd skate, book it to the changing room, strip asap and get into a nice loose hoodie. can'tt handle stuff on my throat!!

I think that’s because hers are big and natural! 😉

yup, those dancers with implants, the implants move as one sort of unit, whereas natural boobs have much more jiggle and wiggle to them and so they like to get a little bit frisky with the edge of a bra in the way that an implant just doesn't.

Seriously.  I used to work at VS, and I love their bras, but the Bombshell is something else altogether.  Before I found a decent sports bra to run in, I used to have to layer my everyday go-to version (the Very Sexy line) with a regular sports bra when I would go running.  I figured with the extra padding, the Bombshell might be even better for that.  NOPE.  I looked like a cartoon character.  I could have conceivably balanced a dinner plate on my chest.  No idea how the girls are able to dance in that shirt (no idea how they can FIT in their shirts) wearing that bra.  Must be the Kelli knot.

Well, once you get to the level of dance most of these girls are at, you've danced in pretty much *anything* but it's rarely comfortable. There's a reason they all practice and workout in actual sports bras and not push up bras! I can't imagine what washing the damn things must be like - washing a bra is a pain in the butt anyway, but ALL that push up padding and no small amount of underboob sweat after 3 hours in texas heat dancing...no thank you please on that laundry duty!
The most supportive kinds of sports bras are the ones that have individual cups rather than the crop top 'boob log' kind, but not a damn push up bra that is designed for one thing and one thing only - to push up and out the boobs, not deal with dance for 3 hours! I don't' even understand the serious padding that you can get in sports bras (sure a little padding if you don't want things to get nippy in a cool gym or somthing but full on push up padding...I don't understand it)

Isn't there a large swimsuit calendar and a smaller desktop calendar?  I know Brennan did get September in one of them, I imagine Rachel is in that one too.

But she did get cut.  Unless you mean cut AND never be welcome to return.

But they all have pictures "in motion," I've never seen bouncing boobs like hers before.

she does have some of the largest on the team. Kalyssa's bolt on used to busting out on the regular too.

To avoid the peek a boo boob like we saw with Bridget or in the finals with Amy Auto, why not try the spray the pageant girls use on their butts to keep swimsuits down.  Maybe that might help because it would be a photo seen round the world with a malfunction!!!

Would be unlikely to work. the spray helps stop the bottoms riding up, not hold the buttocks in, especially against the sort of forces that that poor shirt and bra are fighting against.  In all seriousness, the physics of boobs moving around during exercise is actually pretty complicated, it's part of why a good sports bra is essential.  The bombshell bra isn't for dancing in, quite honestly, esp not for the girls with a fuller bust.

'tit' tape would have a better chance of holding her in, but she really needs a better fitted bra and a better shirt.  However, the picture likely looks much worse than it is.  it's a microsecond of time when the boob is moving one way while her body is moving another, as happens to all us boob having people, its just physics, so it looks worse than it is, as though she's busting out at all times when she isn't (if any of us were to jump up and down in our bras and someone was taking constant photos, we'd likely all have photos where it looks like we're about to spill out even when we're not as breast tissue shifts).  but if i were her I'd have nipple pasties on, jic, and be taped into my bra like crazy. just to be safe.

Probably showing my age, I think that laced-up pleather outfit looks trashy.  If I wanted to be a newscaster, I certainly wouldn't wear that kind of outfit in public, let alone put a picture of me in it on social media.

Agreed. I wouldn't wear that outfit at all, regardless of wanting to be a newscaster, but ESPECIALLY if.  It just screams 'look at me, look at me' and not in a good way.  Dressing/looking sexy doesn't have to mean putting everything on show for all to see whether they want to or not.  The more skin you show, the less sexy you can look, imo

Long-time lurker, first time poster. To be fair, in an interview with pro dance cheer about auditions when she was auditioning to be a second year vet, Maddie did mention that kicks are a weakness for her. At least she is self-aware about that.

Aware, maybe.  Actually doing a damn thing about it? No.  If anything they seem worse than ever before.  maybe hat's just what it seems like, maybe she's ore out of shape than usual (she looks 'bigger' this year than beffore and that might affect her stamina and flex) but she's held up constantly as the gold standard of DCC and yet her kicks are poor, her 'hip hop' is bland, and she's thick in a way other girls would be cut for

Since when did we become the “we don’t like Maddie” board.

I and others on this board enjoy Maddie’s dancing, look, and her personality.  She has grown into a great leader (dictator, LOL) and from what I have seen of the groups this year, her group looks the strongest.  Kelly and Judy spelled out why they like her, she is strong in the DCC style, dependable and does not mess up!

are we not allowed to criticize or dislike certain DCC all of a sudden? who makes the decision as to who does or doesn't make that list?

I don't 'hate' Maddie. I dislike how she is treated in a way that is different to most of the others - she would be called fat if hse were any other DCC. KaShara struggled for years being told off about her weight, while Maddie gets away scot free with being thick int he middle in a way the other girls don't.  Her kicks are not great, yet that is never mentioned and it is obvious in her face how much of an effort it is for her, yet if she were another dancer that'd be mentioned by TPTB.
is she entertaining? sure. is that, however, held up by K&J as the only thing you need to get on the team? no.

How old is Kat? I know she is at least 19, given she cheered for the Panthers (so she claimed) but she comes across too young and giggly.  as if she using laughter to cover up something or call attention to herself.

sooooo many of these ladies act like girls, far far too young for their age in many cases such as the ones over 20. I don't know if its a behavioural thing they take on, or if they're jusst so (in the majority of cases) sheltered and often privileged that they have never had to grow up.  I laughed so hard when one of the rookie candidates, don't remember which, was talking about being out in the real world for the first time - while standing in what appeared to be a luxury apartment that there was no way she was paying for alone or at all.

  14. The more I watch Maddie during the kickline, the ore it hurts - she makes the kicks look like they take such effort, especially compared to a lot of the other girls.  I originally liked Maddie, but the more K&J bend the rules for her (her weight is not DCC ready) and the more they act like she's the second coming of a dance God, the more she annoys me and her looking like she struggles through the kickline bugs me when othr girls get that pulled up as a serious issue

Does anyone else think that Christina's boyfriend looks like it could be her brother?  I feel like they have such similar facial features.

thats actually really common - people are, oddly enough, attracted to people that look similar to them - and more specifically actually that look like our parents. our friends rarely look all that much like us, features wise, but lovers often do. you'd think it'd be the other way around, a way to ensure genetic diversity and yet... do a degree, the whole concept of 'leagues' is true, because we tend to be attracted to people that look like us, of a similar level of attractiveness (beyond aesthetic appreciation for movie stars and models which tend to conform to the golden ratio and are therefore more 'universally' good-looking.

Jalyn's eye looked so uncomfortable and I'm surprised they sent her out, given a good 75% of the girls' job is to be attractive and hot and having someone look like they've taken a fist to the eye and weirdly squinting, isn't really either of those things. eyes shouldn't be messed around with - should have just gone stright to the opthamologist and made sure she wasn't scratching the eye if there was something in it.

For those of us who used to dance, I guarantee you that we could have. When you're raised in the dance world, you get knocked down a lot and sometimes it's hard---but you pick yourself up and move on. Victoria was the sheltered girl at the competition who's mom cried favoritism or cheating when her kid lost. She was sheltered and it is evident in everything she did.

I can't think of a single time on the show where I would describe VK as excellent. Her dance struggles were vast, her weight was an issue from the start and her immaturity and unprofessional-ism was enormous. I give her credit for picking up the DCC style quickly, but for that one step forward, her lack of technique and inability to stay in her own area was her two steps back. When I think of excellence I see Lacey and Hannah...I don't see VK.

As for jealousy---I don't think any of us are jealous of an immature, sheltered 18 year old who has an overbearing stage mom for a mother.

    THIS.

I was going to answer that anyone raised in the dance world (beyond sorto f once a week class and the odd recital) is going to have had everything off this board, and MORE, said, screamed, and bellowed in their face over the years, and you either learn to let it roll off you and take the critique and implement, or you don't carry on with it.

the product of the dance world is beautiful. the act of getting there is absolutely anything but.

I don't dislike Kashara at all.  I do feel like CMT spent too much time focusing on her which made me kind of get sick of seeing her so much, but that is really a criticism of CMT.  I wish that they wouldn't pretend that there are only a couple of girls on the squad.

I think that Kashara is very intelligent and that her accent is completely authentic.  However, I do personally believe that she knows how to play up her "country cuteness".  For instance, I think that she was well aware that her "I can even change your oil" comment would draw laughs and attention well before she said it.  So, I do think that she plays it up a bit.  I do think that she seems like a really nice person and a great teammate, but I disagree that she has no awareness of her country persona.

All of that being said, I have a feeling that I will miss her next year, especially if Gina gets point.  Kashara is really cute and glams up beautifully.  I don't find that to be true of Gina and some of the other possible contenders (although I do like some of the possibilities better than others).

and? who doesn't say something that they know will make people laugh? it was a first day, an intimidating day for first time rookies (and all rookies but esp those never there before), and having people laugh breaks that tension, shows her sense of humour, lets people relax.  why is it so bad to be aware that something you say will make someone laugh?

We just might see Miss Brennan as point one day.  Never say something isn't possible with hard work and perseverance.

Personally, I don't ever see it happening, even with hard work and perserverance.  She doesn't have the 'look' to me of a point girl, nor do I think her dance is powerful enough. plus Kelli seems to have a real bug in her ear abut her coming back again this year, making out like its all about Brennan wanting to make it for the sake of making it, not because she's dying to be a dcc or some other guff. I just don't thnk Brennan is anywhere near charasmatic enough of a performer for point.
