I can never hear that without thinking about the YouTube Kid Farm parody where the mom says, "that's 17 kids, more or less." It makes me laugh every time
ETA: I agree with the thought that Michelle will talk about her many, many labors will Jill is in labor. I can imagine that scenario clearly.

A friend of mine got down on her hands and knees and washed the floor to induce labor it worked for her each time.
LOL! Gotta love nesting (or desperation to deliver).

Any word on what University Tyler is attending? I was just curious since he wants to have his degree by the time the baby is three so Catelyn can then go get her degree. I checked a few schools but I didnt see any with dual Astronaut/Psych courses.
Just wondering...
That also gives time off for the reality show appearances. They will never give that up.

I haven't noticed Michelle's slurred speech. Where was that speech noted?
Yes, I agree that the laundry room episode was the start of her situation and she probably was prescribed "something" to help her deal with an overwhelming life..that's why she's living her life on a tufted pillow and everyone does everything for her....just not dealing with the problem, IMO, just enabeling it.
I noticed it during this episode in her TH's. Admittedly, this is the only one that I have watched of the current season. Was wondering if anyone has made the same observation.
I take benzos too. At night, when I go to bed. I have the option of taking them during the day. My antidepressant is very potent for most and I sometimes appear as if I have had one too many beers.
Antidepreessants are not happy pills. Many people take mild anti depressants and don't really have trouble but the ones for major depressant disorder can make you appear drunk, crazzy and more until your body adapts. That can take a long while.
I do feel for her. Can't snark on depressed people, I know what it feels like.
Please don't misunderstand. This is in no way snark. I am concerned she is on too high of a dose of whatever she might be taking.
What is the laundry room incident. Is it on one of this season's shows?

Any medication affects different people differently. I know people who act very oddly on antidepressants, and some who only act "normally" with benzodiazepine and vice versa. There's a reason why mental health treatment is so difficult to treat and involves a lot of trial and error, not only with a medication, but also dosage.
I'm honestly not sure if Michelle is taking anything or her body is simply reacting to normal aging/non-pregnancy and she's not doing that well, and she's using all of her "good" energy/effort for filming and "resting" during the other times.
I guess at this point it's a matter of opinion. I took benzodiazepines for about 4 years. I recognize her slurring and actions from video and pictures of myself during that time. I cannot say what, for certain but she is taking something and it is too strong for her. I think it was given to her by a Dr to deal with her "season of life". You know, the season where she isn't the center of attention of anymore.

I am thinking antidepressants. They can take a while to get used to. I still look high. And my manner speaking is different.
I have taken antidepressants for many years. This is not adjusting to a new medication or dosage change.
It appears to me that she is taking benzodiazepines. Her eyes and slow responses are a dead giveaway.

I couldn't sleep and TLC is re-running this show. I have just one question (being serious here)~
Is it only my imagination or is Nutchelle high? The look in her eyes and her manner of speaking is undeniable. Very noticeable in her TH's.
This is the only show that I have watched of the current season. Probably the only one.

As far as the adoption is concerned, my opinion would normally be that short of some sort of abuse or danger, the open adoption should be respected (with extremely clear boundaries from day 1)... However I 100% would not blame Brandon and Theresa for closing that right up in this situation. They never seemed too comfortable with the TV thing, and they probably just thought this was a 1 time TV show, and likely had no idea teen mom or even 16 and pregnant would become what it is. It infuriates me that Catelynn and Tyler even think they have any claim to posting pictures of Carly. And I don't want to minimize birth parents in any way, but they always refer to themselves as another set of parents to Carly... But now that they have nuvaring they are gushing about how great it is to be parents... I'm not saying they can't be excited or anything, what bothers me about the situation is that they inserted themselves into that position with Carly... But now that they have this second baby, they act like its brand new all over again. I don't think I'm expressing my point well. It's like they have it both ways... They wanted recognition as Carly's parents... But now everything is first time parents with nuvaring.
I completely agree. I get that they were young and had no idea what to expect or how they were going to truly feel once Carly was born BUT between that horrible adoption counselor and Tyler's mom (who seems reasonable and realistic) someone should have gotten them some intensive private counseling. I feel ashamed for watching because MTV took advantage of them from the very beginning. After the Teen Mom money goes, I see a life for them not much different than the one they said they didn't want for Carly.

Wow that really makes me wish that MTV would have picked her up for TM. Maybe her life would have turned out a little better with a semi-regular income.

Have you seen a Murano Cross Cabriolet? Remember that episode of "Friends" where Rachel makes the trifle with meat? That's kind of what the Cross Cabriolet is, it's like someone had designs for a convertible and half the page got stuck on the designs for an ugly SUV, and somehow the whole thing got greenlit, probably by a drunk executive on the golf course by accident.
So maybe they weren't rewarding Kody so much as punishing him...
This made me laugh so hard. Not easy with a wicked head cold. Thanks for that!

I recently caught the Duggars Do Dentist rerun, and Jilly Muff went practically catatonic at the thought of having her wisdom teeth pulled. If I remember correctly, having my teeth pulled was a lot easier than having a baby, and my kids were not particularly big. I've had three children, and that huge stomach Jilly Muff put on display grossed me out, "TOTALLY". Agree with Famy, cannot figure these people out, don't kiss until the day of devirginizing, and then show practically everything to the world via television because it is the holy birth
. In Jill's world you don't become a "hero" by having your teeth pulled. She's on her way to squeezing out 20 more duggar_dillards so she's on her way to Sainthood.

I truly wish that Jill had a mother who was a better role model for pregnancy. I feel if she had Michelle encouraging a hospital birth (where was Joshie born?) for her first baby she wouldn't think twice about going.

All I want to say is that I love this family. As an only child without much extended family, the Bates (es)? seem like such a normal family in spite of their size. Their kids have much more personality and their own opinions. Unlike another set of parents that seem to force that their slaves to tout the party line. More Bates Family please!

I remember Tyler getting mad over something B and T (an event that Carly could care less about) would not commit to and yelling "we GAVE them Carly!". He just doesn't get it. I am thinking at one point they were telling themselves the adoption was only a temporary situation. Am I that far off the mark?
