About hat guy David: I read somewhere where he was asked why he didn’t compete in LCK and he said he wasn’t asked to. Sounds like they’re setting up Soo to be in the main competition. JMO.

I’m glad Soo and Kenny didn’t make a croquet. Kenny’s pizza seemed weird, plus it wasn’t quite cooked. I’m wondering if they are setting up Soo to be in the main competition too.

I feel sorry for these chefs. I live in Illinois, Wisconsin has basically the same weather, it’s got to be July judging by the corn fields. Hot, humid, dry and buggy.

I know. She could have just said the poor man’s daughter was dead, she didn’t have to tell him all the gory details! I wish I had FF’d through that scene. I read an interview with Maisie, who plays Catherine, and she said their was no fashion in show, that the show was about survival.

I didn’t read the book and you’re right, aside from Halina and Addy I don’t know the characters very well and was confused who was who and how they were related. I will continue watching because it’s a very compelling story.

Thank you! I was watching on Passport and I was not paying a lot of attention at the end of the episode and I thought I was saw a ‘next time on…’. I’m so glad there are two more episodes. This is one of my favorite shows!

Finally some progress with the Trixie and Matthew story, I hope everything will get better for them. Why bring in four new midwife’s but only focus on two? Maybe the other two will get some airtime next season. I liked the two newbies though. This was a good season, I’ll probably rewatch.

This was my least favorite episode. Violets event turns into a disaster. May almost drowns, gets sick, and the Turners almost lose custody. Trixie and Matthew continue to implode. Clueless Trixie doesn’t notice Matthew is anxious and depressed. Matthew needs to grow a pair and tell Trixie about the money problems and quit shopping. The young mom, Lindy finds out both of her daughters have eye cancer. The best part was Lindy and Melvin (name?) decided to grow up, get married and be there for each other and their daughters.

Wow, two episodes in row now that I teared up and it was watching Sister MJ crying at the moon landing. Why are they making Matthew act like such a whiny baby all of a sudden? Are they going to write him off the show or something? I hope they don’t go the Cyril/Lucille route with him and Trixie.

This was a good episode! I hadn’t gotten teary eyed so many times in a long while with this show. Poor Fred. Glad he was ok. Happy for Violet winning over that pompous ass. They really edit a lot out! Honestly anything with Trixie is getting boring! Although she was so good handling the Fred situation and comforting Violet.
