  1. Omgosh I found a web archive of the old Television Without Pity board featuring Half & Half.   It cut out about half of the original thread I believe when TWoP had some glitch that happened way back then where a lot of data was lost.   It's so nice reliving the memories up into the bitter end when it was cancelled.   Omgosh...can't believe how into the show I was from reading my messages (even coming up with episode ideas).    Someone had too much time on his hands...LOL.

And, of course, the big story is that freaking Jensen Ackles arrives as Beau Arlen: a former cop from Texas who is now the new sheriff of Big Sky county!  Sure, he might have some questionable views about gender roles (assuming Cassie wouldn't know anything about cars, calling Jenny "darling"), but he's certainly got that classic Ackles charm!  Still can't believe they got him here; and as a regular none the less; but I'm optimistic that he will be able to give this show a much needed jolt.

I was all set to check out after Season 2 but seeing Jensen Ackles make his appearance on the show all but guarantees I'll be back for the silly ride that will be Season 3.    Even though I wasn't a regular watcher of Supernatural, I had the biggest crush on him back in the day.    Honorable mention goes to Janina Gavankar who bought her A game all season.

Queen Cobras were totally robbed.  I think they should have won the whole thing.  Although I do find it hard to think of them as En Vogue.  Just doesn't seem the same without Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones.  I do realise that two of the three are originals, but it must feel weird for the third one (the one in the Cindy Birdsong / Michelle Morris role) to constantly hear about the huge hits that she wasn't a part of when they were originally recorded.

I suspected it was En Vogue in the last episode when Rhona and Terry sang "I Say A Little Prayer".   Rhona's been part of the group long enough that I can distinguish her voice and then when Terry sang of course there was no denying it.    I agree they were robbed.   I also agree that it's not the same w/o Max and Dawn.   I wish they all would put aside their differences since noone's getting any younger.   But that's not likely gonna happen.   Despite that I like to think also that the 6 cobras was their way of acknowledging Max, Dawn, and Amanda.

I was rooting for Eric. Wanted to see if he could keep his perfect game all the way to the end.

Was rooting for Eric as well especially since we share a first name.   I knew he was toast in the final 3 though.  But Brianna wasn't the worst winner ever...she did answer a few questions.   And that total was the highest I've seen.

I thought it was odd that Dawson almost got the best of Reacher.  Not like he was sucker punched or caught by surprise.  Reacher has easily dispatched all these guys to date, many of them bigger than Dawson.  And suddenly, he's getting his ass handed to him by a man half his size?  He couldn't get the crowbar away from him?

I'm just watching the series now and yes I was shouting at the TV 'Come On' when he was getting the best of Reacher.   I guess they wanted to create some drama but with the way Reacher's been depicted before, he should've knocked Dawson out right away.

They pretty much cleared the stage. While I'm overjoyed Luca is gone, I wish Aaron had fulfilled his teaching fellowship abroad. It was an opportunity of a lifetime and if he throws it for Zooey, he's a fool.

I rolled my eyes when Aaron came out of the taxi.   I'm guessing Aaron and Zoey must've had some offscreen discussion.   How would he even know what apartment she was in?   Not surprised Ana's not coming back with her new gig.   Disappointed Vivek isn't coming back as I liked his character.    Co-sign on being glad Luca is gone.

I thought he was the first person eliminated, so I was surprised when I realized he wasn't. Just not showing that episode is the only way around not having him on the show. The can't show the episodes in random order, because people can't be eliminated one week & suddenly reappear & compete the next. I've already passed on 2 episodes expecting them to be the one, I won't bother watching them, but maybe I'll watch the 3rd.

It is possible that the "polarizing individual" is in one of the other groups of contestants that haven't been featured yet.   So the episode to avoid watching would either be e04 or e07 (assuming the third group of contestants show up there).

  8. They're definitely bringing the manufactured drama this season.    As corny as it was, I actually do miss the "First Impressions" guesses.   Speaking of guesses, the only one I had a possible guess for was also the most "dramatic".    Will be interesting to see if she implodes next week.   *LOL*.    But at points Firefly was giving me Mary J. Blige vibes.    Though I don't know if she's worked with Tyler Perry.

  9. I admit that the show lost me a bit and I was slow to continue watching.   I'd watch an episode and then wait a week or two before watching the next one (almost like the old days before streaming...*LOL*)  I wasn't really connecting the dots to what was happening and I couldn't bring myself to care (even falling asleep during episodes).   But things seemed to pick up for me around Episode 9 (Jane Patrol) and after that things started getting interesting.    And after Jane Patrol I started watching two or three episodes in a row.   Parts still confused me but I was more vested.

And then Mr. Nobody reeled me in with his humorous "exposition" tying in all the "b.s." from the previous episodes together.   Of course his issues would have to do with a woman rejecting him and calling him a 'nobody' hence his nickname. And OMG I was ROTFLMAO when Flex had the whole town simultaneously orgasm except for poor Cliff who had to fake it...*LOL*.

I finished the Penultimate episode last night and am looking forward to the finale.

    huh

and i just love her and pretty much all the cast except for Ava

Of course we wouldn't have a show w/o any of the characters antics but I felt the other character's (mainly Barbara and Melissa) annoyance of Janine when as senior teachers they try to instill their experiences in dealing with the administration and Janine poo poos all that because she just HAS to make it right even if it winds up causing worse problems (i.e. the new carpet and light fixtures).   My partner's also a school teacher (for high school math) and being in the school system for many years he identifies more with Barbara and Melissa.    And since I get to hear his tales on a daily basis, I relate more to them as well.

I do love the actress Quinta and am so happy that she was able to get the show on a major network.   It's a premise that hasn't been done to my knowledge and it's enjoyable for me.

It's been slow for me to warm up to Gregory but I'm beginning to like him more.  I think he's just a reserved person, and I get that.  Surely, he could have found some other occupation than teaching, so I do think he likes kids.

Honestly, the character I like the least is...Janine.  She just annoys me.  I'd never heard of Quinta Brunson before this show, but I give her major props for coming up with the idea for this show.

I love this show but yes Janine is the character I like the least.   Every week when starting an episode, I'm always wondering what is she going to do to annoy me 'this week'.   *LOL*.

Nick sets off my gaydar in a big way. Maybe he's in denial because of his Catholic upbringing. I don't know. He and Danielle are not compatible at all.

Something about him does ping my gaydar off as well.   It could be his voice....and...

I wanted to like Nick, but wow, he's horrible delving into all the drama with such glee.  I'm done with him and he deserves Danielle.

... the fact that he was very eager to get the drama of other couples going.   He did the same thing in Mexico and was very quick to give Danielle the tea before she totally derailed the whole train.    I'd be surprised if they make the altar...and if they do, I don't see it lasting long.

Yeah, Lauren and Cam are lightning in a bottle for sure (btw, for their third anniversary gift she surprised him with a bespoke suit, and a private catered dinner by the in house chef at the design house where the suit is made...it was pretty sweet).

None of the current cast can compare to Lauren and Cameron.   I agree the show got very lucky with them.   In fact I was surprised they didn't make them host this season's show.    But I'm sure they'll bring them back for an episode to play some reindeer games with the current cast.

Hello, my name is Irlandesa and I've watched too much TV in my lifetime because that ending?  Not a bit shocking to me.

I guessed that the lawyer was more of a fan of her client than she let on when she was fired.  And when his back was to the lawyer and putting the perp in the car, I knew that cop was going to get killed.

Plus Athena wasn't the one who caught him so I figured he was a goner.  LOL

It was good! I like that it was very different from Run the World - but I really like them both. Meagan Goode is beautiful but she really should have re- thought that eyebrow transplant.

I never heard of Run The World.   I'll need to check that out.   Hopefully I can get it on Hulu.

O.T.:  It was cool seeing Tye's backstory and by default the other three ladies stories on how their lives were before.   I can't blame Tye's new lady for having doubts about their relationship.

Did Dre think he wouldn't be the dud husband when the other guy is Barack Obama? 🤣🤣

    I love the animated montage.

I laughed at the fake out of aging Devonte.

I enjoyed the premiere overall.   Dre's ego is definitely out there if he thought he wouldn't be the dud husband in that scenario.

The kid playing Devante couldn't even be on the photo with his TV family and Mrs. Obama.    Poor kid wouldn't appreciate it now but might years from now.

Big was hard to get and Aidan was easy to get!  Carrie can't do anything that's easy!

Miranda's sister, Charlotte's brother.  It's long been a complaint of mine that we know so much about the men on this show (ALL of Trey's fucking family, ALL of Steve's family, we briefly see Aidan's parents, we know Big's mom, and now his brother, and BOTH of his ex-wives, Stanford's Grandmother) but we don't even know a fraction of that when it comes to the main 4 women.  So frustrating.

It's like the show wants everyone to pretend that the main 4 women don't have family while we have to tolerate meeting everyone in the family of every secondary character.

There was one episode where Charlotte's brother comes to see Charlotte because he was divorcing his wife and ends up sleeping with Samantha.     Other than that, I can't think of any other time the main 4 had a family member introduced.

  18. I just finished the first episode.    Overall I'm intrigued enough to keep watching but I'm going to need Quinn not to leave her purse at the bar with a total stranger in the far away land of Long Island...*LOL*.    I can only assume she didn't have any major credit cards otherwise that would be the first thing to do once she was rescued.

LOL too at the guy waving his butt in the air waiting for Meagan to lick it.

  19. Woo hoo.   I got my 2nd and last right guess of the season with Faith Evans.   I knew unless the Skunk performed on cartwheels and juggled some balls at the same time that the Bull would advance.

Edited to add....how contrived that Robin Thicke got the first impression guess and it's now a 3-way tie between Ken, Nicole, and himself.    So is Miss Jenny gonna guess two out of the three remaining finalists to pull the ultimate contrivance?  Stay tuned...LOL.
