I agree about Val. I don't believe they had a good connection and felt like they tried to give off the impression that they did. He was so much more genuine, silly, and happy with Laurie. When they got third place, Normani completely turned her back toward him and ignored him... did anyone else notice this ?
On your other note, I believe Emma Was actually talking about never being paired with another partner that she become such good friends with/ got along with so well rather than getting far in the season.
