While JAG didn’t last as long, and the last two seasons drove me bonkers, it was a better written show. And I suspect because Don was running it until the end.

100% agree with all of this.  Supposedly Don's daughter, Julie B Watson, apologized on a fansite for the dumb stories in the last two seasons. She sort of admitted she and her dad neglected JAG during the first two seasons of NCIS.

What happened to the Black mayor that wound up in a wheelchair?

He resigned at the end of season 7.  Lorraine Bracco played the acting mayor for a year.  Then Dylan Walsh (Chase) got elected.

Frank's story with the mayor didn't make much sense.  Some cops arrested a guy for harassing a woman in traffic.  So what....

I was hoping Eddie was cheating on Jamie so the show could be rid of her.  Before Jamie was sergeant, they used to talk about taking the test together so that story made zero sense.  I know I complain about her every week, but I can't stand her.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel there is no chemistry between the Jamie and Eddie characters?

It's not just you.  I don't like Eddie, but the show waited so long to get them together that they look bored with each other.

You might get your wish. I'm expecting this storyline to end in suicide. The shot of her other gun (supposedly her father's), the emphasis on how difficult it is right now to be a police officer, her convincingly deflecting Eddie's concern, and the Captain being a total dick to her set this up imo.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing when they zoomed in on the gun on the desk.

How fucking stupid is it that there is a character on fucking BLUE BLOODS with magical powers?

It does seem sort of out of place on this show, but real world cops consult psychics/mediums all the time.

Also, the D.A. that they made a big deal about how they brought her in from Atlanta also happened to grow up in New York?

I agree.  They made a big deal out of her making that story up last season and now they tell us it's true.  I can't stand the character's attitude so I really don't care what her backstory is, but Anthony's line at the end was hilarious!

I also can't stand Witten so if this is how they get rid of her, I'm fine with it even thou I think the reason she got suspended is total BS.

  6. Ok episode, but Ducky was listed in the opening credits and he did not appear.  Don't know how much I'll watch if Gibbs  is gone even thou I haven't liked Mark's portrayal of him in years.  Plus, I don't like Gary Cole.

Monkey Trainer Slams Schwimmer's Reunion Comments About Marcel.

Good grief. D. Schwimmer wasn't saying that he hated the monkeys, he was just recalling a humorous story that it was hard to work with a live animal on set, which was more than likely true.

Back when they wrote the monkey off the show, the story was that the cast demanded they ditch the monkey.  I don't blame them at all if that was the truth. I didn't like the monkey, but even if I did; I don't think Ross seemed like the type to have an exotic pet.

The only original/regular cast member left is Ron Howard, who played Opie from age 5-14, he's now 67. Elinor Donahue (pharmacist Ellie Walker, season I) & Maggie Peterson (who played Charlene Darling Wash) are still living as is Rodney Dillard who played one of the "Darling Boys", playing guitar & singing leads.

Betty Lynn (Thelma Lou) is still with us.

While I was watching the new District Attorney and Erin last night, I thought of something regarding the DA's office in Manhattan.  Erin has been unhappy about not being  appointed as the new DA.   What the show failed to recognize is that the Manhattan District Attorney is an elected position - not an appointment.    I would think that after 11 seasons, someone on the Blue Bloods' staff would have figured that out.

The "new" DA is the "interim" DA until the next election.

Maybe we're getting a spinoff series where Gibbs retires and they go off solving crimes together while being adorable and softly bickering about crumbs on the carpet.  Kind of like a middle class, but higher octane investigative version of Hart to Hart.

I would totally watch that!  😀

Yes - agreed. What bothers me is she's only 11 and one of the comforting things someone said (I think George) was that she would have other boyfriends.  Ok, just me or is 11 awfully young to be having boyfriends?  Certainly seems young to me that she'd have a boyfriend AND parents who accept this as a natural thing.

Yes, it's too young especially with a mom who's as religious as Mary.

  12. With show renewed for 3 more seasons, I think it's too soon for George to do what adult Sheldon told us he did.  I think this was just a fake out for a season finale cliffhanger.

Am I the only one who thinks Missy has turned into a brat?  She used to be the funny one, but now she's obnoxious.  When she told George "I am not a child."  I wanted him to say "You most certainly are!"

You hit the operative word with "friends."  Anthony is not Danny's friend, he is his sister's work partner. He deserves to be treated with respect just like any other person. He dislikes Anthony because he can't dominate him.

I think it's mostly just the actors and writers having fun with the added benefit of being authentic.

  14. Both Fallujah battles were in 2004, and women were not officially serving in ground combat roles at that time.  Also, in a previous episode that involved a veteran Danny said he was the only member of his unit to make it back alive.

She needs to be relocated somewhere

I wish they'd relocate her to another show; preferably, one I don't watch!

This was a pretty good episode because there were only two stories.  I'm all for an Erin/Jack reunion.  Their scenes together are always entertaining.

  16. This entire season felt like a parody.  Charles as a cartoon villain was ridiculous.  Everybody knows he is about 85% to blame for the mess of a marriage, but how about a little nuance and subtly?  Peter Morgan's The Queen felt like a parody to me too, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

  17. It occurred to me during this episode that Charles needed a male friend because Camilla seems to fill that role for him.  She drinks, she smokes, she tells raunchy jokes, and she rides horses.

Diana's Australian wardrobe in this one was fantastic!  The blue ruffly number was not that great in real life, but on the show it's gorgeous.

I hated that Tyra came back to say that to Tim. I didn't believe their great love story. It would made more sense for Lyla to declare her love for Tim. I remember Tim looking quite apathetic in that scene.

I was referring more to the political discussion, but I didn't buy them as a great love story either.  Tim's love story was his land and being an independent free spirit!  I guess they wanted a callback to the pilot since Tim and Tyra were a couple in the beginning.

  19. So the show is going to completely skip over Charles and Di's early days of marriage?  I have to wonder how she ever managed to get pregnant since the show portrays them like they can't stand each other for even a minute.
