Now we wait. This is going to be torture. Only possible resolution i am okay with is if Severide and Kannell somehow save them.

I think Anna's name changed to Anna Turner (in this episode) from Anna Daily (I believe Severide called her that to the hospital administrator in the bone marrow episode). Oops? And is her dad in Chicago? If not, people were doing a ton of driving back and forth. Some sloppy writing (though I still love the show). I think the Squad 6 story could have been meaningful - the loss of nearly a whole squad with one member making it out in good shape - but they really should have introduced Squad 6 earlier in the season to help the viewers care more. As it stands, all they did was show up and hang out at the firehouse when Truck was away on a call...so yeah, it wasn't as effective as it could have been (but still triggered thought of how easily a whole squad could be wiped out) Severide got a little taste of his own medicine, with Anna pushing him away when she needed help...that is what he always does when he is in distress. Severide showed some signs of growth, some emotional intimacy....well, at least he didn't go out and get plastered, anyway, upon getting the bad news. Interested to see where he goes from here, another terrible loss for his character. But his idea of 'we can fight' (from the preview for next week, and also by the fact that they went from the comfort of her dad's house to the hospital) is probably a mistake...im surprised they went to the hospital. With her outlook pretty grim, I wonder whether taking that camping trip may be a better use of time than getting admitted into a hospital Eta:I wonder why only 22 episodes this season instead of 23

I hate to say this, but I'm hoping for a cancer relapse if it means avoiding THAT, which would feel like (to me) a trashy daytime soap line

The last thing I want is Kelly to be in some sort of unintentional incest story ..ugh...though maybe they at least have not had sex. I don't want them to go there. As for pregnancy, if they have had sex, it would have been once she moved to Chicago, I believe. Has enough time passed in the show for a pregnancy to be detected? Or maybe someone else's baby I'm going to go with a cancer relapse as my guess...my thought is she has been a bit rattled about possiblesymptoms (which is why she seemed off in the hospital last episode), and now she has confirmation about it being a relapse. I think she will push Kelly away but Kelly will found out and be there for her as she dies. Poor guy, can never find happiness Her angry sentiments at the end were about them being a terrible match though, and her rushing things. Not sure which theory fits best with that

I laughed a bit this episode, between Hermann's outbursts (and the snickering from the firehouse) and severide' s reactions to Benny. I didn't like the crackhouse stort at all for many of the reasons mentioned. Casey, that was stupid and so was everyone on Truck for going along with it. Last episode, Anna gave Kelly the same look at Molly's as she did with Benny/His date this episode: "Really? I have to interact with these people?" Come on, people all over the place are quirky and you just go along with it. Would love to find out what her deal is. She has scenes where she is really cute and fun, but then the bitch comes out

I thought making the decision to stay meant we were out of the woods (in terms of him leaving), but he made that decision for himself...and seeing that Anna isn't really happy, could he decide he needs to make a sacrifice to make love work? Honestly, I am probably being paranoid though. I'll just enjoy the series rather than fretting. I only care so much because severide is one of my favorite distractions. And I hear you about not liking him jumping from relationship to one night stand, nothing working out

Is anyone else worried that Anna may be an exit arc for Severide? I don't think they are going to end up together in Chicago. I think one of two things might happen. One, that he decides he is going to do anything he can to make this work- which will mean he makes the one to make the sacrifice and move to Springfield for her. What I hope happens, though, is she ends up being a symbol of the right intent (someone to have a meaningful relationship with) but wrong person (he was blinded the the appeal of saving her). He would be devastated that his attempt at a real meaningful relationship failed, but maybe end up discovering that Stella has been there all along. Anyway, I love Severide and after seeing this most recent episode, I think in becoming paranoid that maybe he's only wrapped up through this season and they are working on a happy exit for him, but am hoping with all my heart that is not what is happening!
