Hold on one second while my head stops spinning around really fast - Holly's mother?? They resurrected Holly's biological mother who died when Holly must have been 10 years old or something? When Holly came on the show in 1982 her mother was gone, she was raised by Nanny McTavish and Holly's father who was an inlaw to the family of con artists. Holly's first con on her own was as an alluring young woman who would con Luke and Port Charles. (And dontcha know that Anna's nanny was Nanny McTavish - and Nanny McTavish's son was Cesar Faison. Another magical rewrite by the idiot revisionists from way back when. Anyway - does anyone have more info on this Sasha's grandma thing? Thanks.

Retro B&B: When the Beautiful Were Also Bold
TessHarding2 replied to Anna Yolei's topic in The Bold And The Beautiful
Me too. I followed Jack Wagner to B&B a few years after he went on the show. You nailed it. I remember Brooke always pawing Nick's face. Both hands on his face with loads of passion. 😆 -
I only came back for JJ and Emma this time but I was very shocked with this KeMo. I was trying to remember who was the first character on GH to come back from the dead. Was it Stavros Cassadine? Seems like there was no hinting to fire KM so the audience could protest to keep her on. Like it was said they did it for Rebecca Hearst and they did it for Genie many times till it stuck.

Retro B&B: When the Beautiful Were Also Bold
TessHarding2 replied to Anna Yolei's topic in The Bold And The Beautiful
Thank you everyone for answering my questions. I thought Nick was tough on Brooke because he seemed to push hard on things he wanted. He didn't let her get away with anything from the shows I've seen. -
Retro B&B: When the Beautiful Were Also Bold

Would anyone mind answering these basic questions? 1. Did something specific set off the hatred between a young Rick Forrester and Ridge? 2. What was the point of Amber? Because my ears can't stop ringing from the sound of her voice. (I've been watching Season 15) And Stephanie likes her! 3. Grant Chambers - what was his purpose? Did Brooke care passionately or was he another man to help her forget Ridge? 4. Nick Marone - I think he was tougher on Brooke than any of her men. Anyone else? (I have no attachment to any character but Brooke's the one I've seen the most) Well, I'd say I care most about Stephanie. Acting chops and timeless beauty! thanks! -
I'd like the lame detective to get the footage of Luna at Home Depot buying power tools and fencing. Anyone's guess who'll be the rescuing hero of Steffy dans un cage? It just can't be Finn, I mean, who'd care? Bill? Gosh - when Bill finds out about all of this he may never speak to Luna again! Maybe they'll toss the whole lot of them and start fresh. RJ? Again, lame. Liam? Or how about Sheila? Sheila saves the day! Oy veh! Re: Finn. I have never known a man that was so offended by a kiss. To berate Hope like it was so disgusting and innapropriate. Men don't do that. Why didn't he take his sleeve and wipe his mouth in true disgust? 😷 Sure, if the woman is a troll and the man is like how dare the troll kiss me? A hot man! They can't even stand up to their own mothers when needing to defend their wives. Look at Miss Luna all in black leather all Emma Peel-y Avengers-y. Thank you Country Girl for the Gladys Kravitz/Katie reference. Not many know who she was!

Uhhh - Okey Dokey -Hey Lucy, please 'splain. I didn't watch back then - can anyone provide a month and date for the above cough-family photo-cough. I'd like to see what led to this on youtube. I'll regret it, but it's soapy.... Rarely do I flinch while watching tv. Most recently was when watching House of Cards and Frank Underwood pushed a reporter - but I flinched with that Bill Luna thing. I can imagine Don D. reading the script and feeling very weird. What the hell is up with Bell and his incestuous fantasies? I know that question comes up a lot. But really! I've watched GH, BB, AMC and it just didn't happen on those shows. And it's only a 30 minute show!

Note to GHScorpio With regard to casting parents that look too close in age - Do you remember on GH when David Lewis (Edward) left the show (or died) and they temporarily replaced him with soap vet Jed Allen? He was 10 years older than Tracy but he looked so young and so good. Whenever Tracy said "Daddy" it was hilarious. They had to know the audience found it funny. Lila was already gone.

Steffy has really been super nasty right in front of Hope. What a mouth they've given her and yet Hope tries to get to telling her off in a meaningful way but never quite gets there which keeps her in that wimpy, boring mode. It's time to seduce Finn and go all the way so Steffy sees them in bed (or on desk). I think Sheila did the poisoning. I was at my limit with Opie's brother. I couldn't stand him as a whiny kid on the old shows and he was just as whiny on this show. What this obsession with B&B and the homeless? And why would they name him Tom when there is already a Thomas? I'm feeling a break coming on which I usually take for a few months when the show is Ridge centered. Trying to introduce this whole Luna family is as effective as Flo and her mother.

What the hell was all that DraMAH from Brooke to RJ? Way overdone. Waking up in someone else's bed? uh Brooke? After watching the old storylines the past few weeks, I'd like Nick to return or start up with Deacon, or bring back Hunter Tylo, but it seems like they've abandoned any storyline for Brooke so now she's just Mama. They've failed making Steffy into Stephanie. Steffy can line read you're a whore bitch to Hope, but she can't act it the way Stephanie did like to Donna. Ooh that was some good stuff.

Since I only watch on Fridays now, I was hoping for weeks it would be “toe Friday”. I like the stuff with Deacon meaning I’m interested. I swear the writers write three scripts for the year, make 250 copies and give them to the cast. I just started watching season 13 on the B&B channel on yt. It’s really very good. Phoebe and Steffy just born, Stephanie had a stroke because Brooke and Thorne are in love. Boy is everybody pissed about those two . Eric tells himself he’s in love with Stephanie again. Brooke has short hair. Looking forward to this 😆

I had to take a long Eric break and now i’m back to hear the Finn praise for days about how my brilliant, sexy husband reason Eric lived EXCEPT for shut UP Finn about my psycho bro killing Emma. Just shut up oh and bite my neck please. Next thing is why does Hope look like she’s going to sing You Light up My Life. (you’d have to be a certain age to get that joke). And the hair dept already got their paws on Poppy. It looks like a Steffy wig recycled. You can’t tell me that Hope will go all moral with Thomas because she’s too dickmatized Would her mother stop? Sorry, Brooke. I normally don’t bash Brooke. Whoever here called her a stepford wife was so right Give her a storyline. Bring back Jack Wagner and let’s all hate Shrek, I mean Ridge That’s all I got because they start with a topic on Monday and beat it to death till Friday.

This is when I think the stylists read here or on other forums. I didn't even think that was her real hair but I guess it is. Classic style in proportion to her face and body. Just keep her sitting down if they don't want people to see her but for heaven's sake don't make the big hair match the belly. The stylists did that to Debra Messing on Will and Grace. They made her natural hair gigantic and her clothes sparkly and layered. She looked ridiculous. How could they not know JMW looked bizarre? I figured creepy Thomas would forever be the creepy guy without a girl. Major characters always have lovers. So now that he's got the girl so to speak, will he be the nice guy but always in a fight with Liam? She's mine! Nnah nnah. Knowing many blended families, there would be a lot more divorces if they expressed their dislike for their spouses children the way Brooke and Ridge do. Your daughter! My son! They really write Ridge as a judgmental prick who is never wrong about anything ever. How attractive!

This is one of those weeks where it's all about spreading the information all over town. Forresters and Logans need one group text - "this happened the other day..okay"? The only thing I want is for Liam to walk in on Hope and Thomas doing it on Hope's desk in her office. It has to happen soon or no one is going to care. I need to see the puzzled disbelieving outrage on his quizzical face. I also kinda wish that Deacon wasn't doing Sheila because that's going to hit the fan big time (especially Brooke whining and yelling to him, Sheila?? Sheila??? Really???) for an entire week.

The overacting was overdone today. 😄 Things I've learned on Bold.. Kissing someone is the same as having sex with them. Removing your wedding band means you're one day away from divorce - AND - you're going to kiss someone else that day or the next day. ORidge-inal Ridge had the qualities for two women to have eternal love for him and Ogre Ridge (I call him Shrek) has piggy backed on that since he arrived because I'll be gosh darned if I know what they see in him. Donna is always curled around Eric or is never more than a whisper away from him, looking up at him. She's the Michele Duggar of the soaps! And don't forget that Finn is a handsome and hot husband. I'd still like to speak to the hair and wig dept on that show.

Retro B&B: When the Beautiful Were Also Bold
TessHarding2 replied to Anna Yolei's topic in The Bold And The Beautiful
I decided to watch the first season since the full episodes are on YT. I was really interested in seeing Stephanie and Eric's relationship. I think I started watching in 2010 to see Jack Wagner but I didn't stick with the show. I never loved the shows so I hate watched as a dedicated soap viewer. BUT - the old shows are quite something. Just some observations. I'd love to hear yours. Mine include superficial stuff! The years between 1987 and 2000 really were terrific. I didn't roll my eyes once. The characters had a lot of development and had a lot to say - sometimes saying the same thing over and over - but still interesting. The hair, makeup, jewelry and clothes had to be the best in the business. Glamorama! The men too. Brooke's hair blinded me with it's lustre and shine. The show had no hero. They made Ridge and Eric very flawed as leading men. I have no emotional attachment to Brooke or Taylor. Taylor was a true beauty but she was kind of boring and too weepy with Ridge. Now what did they do to Brooke in the mid 2000's? She went from coiffed queen to a bag of rags. No makeup, always crying, nothing clothing. What happened to her hair? She lost half of her head of hair and she's very thin and with awful botox brows it seemed. Those seem to be the years with Nick and when Stephanie is calling her a tramp more than ever. I didn't like the James Warwick character. I see that he became involved with Sheila but I haven't seen it yet and probably won't. I'm a classic GH watcher and at one point it looked like the GH actors took the boat over to B&B. I liked Jack Hamilton as Taylor's father. That actor had the two most beautiful daughter's on soap (Genie Francis and Hunter). I laughed when Nick Marone went to visit with the ill Felicia Forrester as he calls out "Felicia"? (as in Frisco & Felicia on GH). I actually liked the three Thornes (not Ingo, the last one). I'm usually so picky, but each Thorne had something. Loved the singing Thorne with Macy. I still need to wait for uploads to happen because I can't believe that Brooke actually fell hard for men other than Ridge, especially lusty, controlling Nick. Then they flipped the original Waffle Man and had Ridge pursue Brooke - that was weird. Hated Connor Davis (cause I hated that douchebag on GH), hated Grant Chambers and not sure why they made Brooke go after Thorne. I really liked the romance between Brooke's Mom and Eric in the early years. Stephanie was particularly delicious then. She is the most compelling actress. If anyone knows why the show changed so much around 2002 I'd love to hear your thoughts.
