I'm surprised we never hear Dr Now or anyone recommend them working out by walking/exercising in a pool. That's good for all kind of people, old people, fat people. Would be a lot less painful for them! Maybe they just don't have access to one?

That's a shame! She really is lovely and her body just looks so uneven. You'd think the show would maybe help her. Don't most of them get the skin surgery included if they get to the weight Dr Now says, though?

I just watched a show I found on YouTube with former patients Melissa, Amber, and Dr Now at this obesity health national conference 2016 fireside chat. It was sort of interesting! Melissa looks good, she's big, but I think she had 3 kids since her surgery. It sounds like she works for Dr Now. Amber's body looked strange to me. Her legs were really swollen (she has lypodema) and she had a lot of loose skin hanging off her upper arms. Her face and and hair looked REALLY pretty. They all talked and answered questions from the audience and a lucky person in the audience got a copy of Dr. Now's book and got to go up on stage and shake his hand and get his picture taken with Dr Now. I wished Dr Now would have talked more and it was hard to understand him between his accent and the TERRIBLE audio/mics at this thing. Fun facts about Dr. Now: he's single, he works 7 days a week, he has done 5000 WL surgeries, 1000 of them on the super obese. I was going to post this in the media thread but I guess more people will see it here in James's hot thread!

This fast food bingeing on the way to the Doctor doesn't surprise me, or even bother me if it was like a "last hurrah" type thing. A lot of people get drunk or high the day of or on the way to rehab, I know I did.

A couple people have mentioned this guy from Guam, I'm going to look for this video!

Some thoughts: How could James eat in that position? I mean, obviously he did, and did it well, but why didn't he prop up a bit with pillows or something to eat? If I tried to eat laying down like that I'd be spilling food and choking. Was James the first person to NOT get the surgery?? BF couldn't watch the whole show because he had to go to bed, and I kept saying you know he's getting surgery or he wouldn't be on the show, whoops, I was wrong! Re: the catheter - it may have been the indwelling type inserted in the lower belly to the bladder or inserted in the penis, but in either case they have to be changed fairly often (by a nurse or doctor) and cath users are super prone to bladder infections even with the best of care, which he obviously wasn't getting. But between the cath care and the horrible state of his legs, he HAD to have been getting some at home nursing care we didn't see? That was a big ass burger! Made the 2nd one he ate look tiny in comparison and that one was probably a quarter pounder or more! I love Dr Now, but seriously if the patient can't stick to a 1200 cal diet, ya think he's going to stick to an 800 cal one?? I also wondered where James's son was. I figured he left home long ago so he wouldn't be stuck caring for James like his sister and mom. Funny they never mentioned him after the intro-bio. Wonder if there is some animosity there from him leaving? James's friends looked like they had their pool game at the VFW hall interrupted to go help wash James's ass. James's poor dad. I felt so bad for him. Lisa I flip flopped from sympathy and just wanting to smack her (not literally)! From watching this one and Nicole's ep both yesterday I'm just flabbergasted.

Has anyone else started talking like Dr Now? BF and I keep greeting each other "hellooo...."!
