  1. If anyone can include my precious little old cat Inky in their prayers I'd appreciate it. Thanks guys.
  2. MollyB - best wishes for an easy healing and recovery. Hopefully you won't have to do much chemo.
  3. I've never heard that phrase. Do people say that or is it just something you made up?
  4. Ash looks like she's gonna have some sexy spy action. Victor Jr looks like she's going to go out begging on a street corner or scrub a church floor.
  5. Wasn't her dad a pastor when Mr. Bell wrote the show?
  6. Well, now that you mention it, back during the lockdown when they were showing classic episodes and had a different cast member each week doing intros and outros there was this one week where they had this woman doing them and I was like, who is this random woman? Is she someone who does hair or make-up or wardrobe? Couldn't be a writer because they wouldn't dare show their faces. The entire week I kept thinking this! And then about a week or two later it dawned on me - that rando was good ol' Aunty-fucker McFudd's current rebound fling. Hahahaha! She really doesn't leave much of a lasting impression. Elena may be his half-sister's cousin (a big plus for Devon) but Hilary's good twin will win. Once we have a vaccine. Or they could just put Elena in a wig and shoot her from behind. Oh, the irony.
  7. I like it when the leaves are the colors of Fruit Loops.
  8. I am lol-ing thinking about Chels on helium. She already sounds like a record being played at the wrong speed. And her gasps on helium? They'd break glass!
  9. Didn't they used to have her all alone in her scenes typing away on her laptop... was it during the Useless Pile days? They should just have her texting on her phone out in that tiny strip of park where JT was buried, hiding under a leaf like the preying mantis that she is.
  10. Snapper? And I keep waiting for the saga of the boat garage to come out, but I don't think they're going to go there.
  11. No it does not bode well. https://news.yahoo.com/mitch-mcconnell-rams-six-trump-151816172.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAA2z_uW5-ixSnhd99dX5HdFDMJ-gYcKMUw5K-vkRs-6Ro7vpMsXCy8WfX59SxbekDuHBjuXnmA7uGpuU3hl_f5piCLy0vqIcvvV2S2fnbgxQfjMgvj12eFnJMix6SDkwoMiTqvoX_FJXKrEEUv2It6abuqs5WtHEAR0Egb9va09T "Mitch McConnell rams through six Trump judges in 30 hours after blocking coronavirus aid for months" Looks like they'll ram through another. This really sucks.
  12. Did the creature from the black lagoon paint her teeth with white fluorescent phosphorescent glow-in-the-dark glow-in-the-light paint?
  13. Which was what exactly? Hilary was all over the map personality-wise. Amanda could behave any way and Dufus McFudd will think she's just like her twin.
  14. Update on Gail. She's recovered/ing. Her husband (asymptomatic), who quarantined for two weeks, tested positive twice and then the third time tested negative so he's back at work. And now I hear that you can keep testing positive because the dead cells can stay in your nose for up to six weeks. Sheesh. And yuck.
  15. "For my cost-conscious friends who can't afford a real mechanical air filter and/or don't have a forced air system with a "fan-only" setting." "Just a head's up for any of us 40 million or so Americans living under a (literal!) cloud of smoke. The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency says you can make a pretty impromptu air filter with a standard 20-inch box fan and a matching 20-inch furnace filter. For best results you'll want to get a top-of-the-line filter -- a microparticle rating of 1900 or higher. They're a little pricy but cheaper than an inhaler refill. The video on the link shows people using screws and flanges to hold the filter in place but! If you put the filter on the back of the fan (where the air's getting sucked in and not blown out) then the fan will suck the filter up against it. So really you'll mostly just need masking tape to keep the filter from slipping off." "Here's a link to the do-it-yourself filter page. https://www.pscleanair.gov/525/DIY-Air-Filter
  16. Oh, Peaches. So sorry to hear all of this. Is the smoke coverage making it colder by blocking the sun? A friend of mine in Washington state posted something about an easy and cheap way to filter air. I'll copy and paste and be right back.
  17. Wow, Peaches and Cupid. Just wow. It's just mind-numbing to think about the scope of these terrible fires. Stay safe. I remember after 9/11 we smelled that smoke for at least a week 24/7. And I now get occasional allergy asthma which started the following spring. (Worst the first year and lesser as time has gone by, but still lingering.) There were unknown toxins in that. But with every single thing burning out west you guys are in for lots of respiratory trouble. And so many people evacuated - how, where can they go that's far enough away? So much loss. Homes, businesses, jobs, flora and fauna, lives...
  18. Good ol' Lonesome George. The band is from the town where I grew up. My mom worked with Billy-the-bas-player's mom. Billy's younger brother Kelly was in my group of friends. We always used to go see "Kelly's older brother Billy's band" as we called them. I used to see them play at least once a month locally. Love them. I got my exposure and appreciation of the blues when I was in high school from listening to the college radio station where their original guitar player (who left the band) had a show he called the Red, Hot and Blues Show. I will never forget the first time I heard Elmore James' Shake Your Moneymaker on his show.
  19. Why are Lola and Theo back? Hasn't 2020 been hard enough on the world?
  20. Thanks so much guys, I'll share any updates I get on her.
  21. Can I ask you guys to say a prayer for someone? She's a long time acquaintance, Gail, who is paralyzed from the neck down, due to a motorcycle accident 30-40 years ago, and she just tested positive with covid. As if life isn't hard enough for her and her husband. I'm very concerned about her since she is physically so weak and immune compromised. There's still no way to know who will have a mild reaction and who will pay the ultimate price. So far she has a bad cough, that's why she got tested. I'm just hoping it doesn't get any worse. Thanks.
  22. Walter's book came out this past spring. His publisher had not set up a book tour and in March I was working with him to set up a book signing at a gallery in downtown NYC. Then came the lockdown and everything in life abruptly halted and we didn't discuss it anymore. The Waldos were scheduled to play in May at Bowery Electric in NYC, but that show got cancelled due to the pandemic. The show was rescheduled to play live stream this coming September. Here's the tiny tribute I posted on my fb page: Back in the day, the three bands I’d go see the most were the Ramones, the Cramps and the Heartbreakers. I saw the Heartbreakers at all the clubs in NYC and at venues that I never saw any other band play ever. They were always playing somewhere. I watched Johnny Thunders go from the most amazing cool guitar player to a guy who would stumble onto stage and pass out. One show in particular stands out in my mind. It was at one of those venues where I only saw the Heartbreakers play. The band came out on stage from the right with Johnny last. He stumbled out, reached for his guitar, but never made it. Usually he’d play at least part of a song before he passed out, but this time he passed out before his hand even touched his guitar’s neck. Walter, who usually looked pissed, looked the most pissed I’d ever seen him, frighteningly pissed. But he led the band, as usual, doing all the singing and guitar, very angrily. That was the night I realized that even though they were booked as Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers, it was Waldo’s band. Walter, thank you for the music of my life. Thank you for playing as long as you did. And thank you for playing on my song on Subterranean Jungle. (I know he’s laughing at that.) I saw him in my dream last night. Basically it was like being in the dressing room after a show. He wasn’t wearing glasses. We had a short conversation and there were lots of people there, everyone anxious to talk to him. I don’t remember my words exactly, but at the end of our conversation I told him that when he spoke, his words made people see pictures in their minds. Honestly I don’t know what made me say that. But I remember the thoughtful look on his face before he turned away to talk to all the others, one by one. Goodbye Walter.
  23. Why is everything getting even worse? Isn't it bad enough yet? And Walter Lure died. @Cupid Stunt - do you have a beautiful obituary for him?
  24. They took away the mailboxes where I live after 911 which also coincided with, (what was it Anthrax?), the white powder being mailed in NJ. Used to have one right on my corner and it was so convenient. Sigh, the good ol' days.
