Yes and he was quite clearly following them.

Oh but if the writers had made Brett do what any normal person would have done, then they wouldnt have had the opportunity of her meeting up with the new Chaplain. One has to suspend belief when watching this show!
-
Such a shame they got rid of Chaplain Orlovsky because Gordon Clapp was brilliant in that role, and they could have had the love interest as his trainee except for the fact that would mean they would actually have had to PAY both actors and clearly their wage bill is too high already (witness lack of extras here there and everywhere they should be but aren't!). Sad for this show!

l know a lot of this show's original viewers/fans feel the same way and just watch it now to support some of the cast members. The writing is fairly poor and the plots even poorer and NBC seem to be pulling the rug out from under its feet these days. The company is clearly reducing its budget down to the bone and that is a great shame. NBC seems to have more on its plate than it can handle show wise and so the older ones suffer for the new ones by the look of things. CF was amazing until they started PD then MED and the whole One Chicago thing blew up and boy could you see the difference in Fire then!

It would be great to see Cruz have a regular GF even if she isnt on screen every episode. Dont want to see him pine for Brett ever again. That's old and done with. Speaking of which, Casey needs to move on, divorce Dawson and change his life with a new lady who will give him the family he so wishes for, whether that is Naomi or someone else. Dawson dumped him so he needs to reciprocate. Dont know if the show is up to this though as they are still pining for Gabby to come back to the show. Let's hope she doesn't. Even Monica has said that her leaving the show presents the writers with the chance to give 'her friend Jesse' fresh new story lines so let's see if they listen to her cos so far they havent listened to the fans and Casey is just getting pushed into the background so far this season. Sad.

You experienced the reality of things but don't forget this is 'Chicago Fire land' where the writers can magic up anything!
-
I often wonder if the writers and show runner of Chicago Fire actually do any research when concocting their plots because from what l read on here, it seems very doubtful! And if they do do any research it seems they just ignore the facts and just write to suit their own personal 'realities'. Don't know how much input (if any) the real life CFD has but by the look of things, very little.
-
Casey actually meant to say that Naomi reminded him of Hallie l reckon. She is in NO way at all like Gabby Dawson was but of course the writers are in complete denial about Dawson having left the show for good and seem to be hanging onto her in any way they can, no matter how tenuous and maybe they are having a competition to see if they can get her name into every episode somewhere!
-
The writers are making Casey delusional then, just like they are! Dawson is a lingering stink that won't go away. The air needs clearing and Casey needs to move on along with TPTB and writers.
-
Let's hope that Foster isnt simply a Gabby-alike but it wouldnt surprise us in the slightest since Derek Haas is so overheated about Monica Raymund and Gabby! He's probably still in denial about her leaving and the writers just can't bear not to be writing for Dawson's horrible, selfish, obnoxious character so they're making Foster into Gabby Mark 2! Urgh! No thanks!
-
They probably haven't thought about that yet! They aren't bothered about reality these days!

Severide gave Pouch away to a kid who had lost his Mum and was rescued into the care of his aunt. The woman at the bar was, l think, the lovely Patti Murin who is Colin Donnell's (Connor Rhodes in Med) real life wife, currently playing Anna on Boradway in Frozen the Musical. She used to be in Med l think.

CF writers aren't very big on realism in any shape of form these days! It's almost as if they have just given up! Sad for the show because the actors give 110% so it's a shame the writers don't seem capable of doing the same.

Looks like it. To be honest, we find that we increasingly have to suspend knowledge and common sense while watching Chicago Fire. They don't seem to do much research or if they do, they just ignore or twist facts to suit their writing level.
