  1. Well, the show’s attempt to make fans forget/hope fans would forget E2-Laurel’s actions in 6A clearly worked on him, considering he went from her working for Chade to Diaz and ignored her killing people even Cayden James said she didn’t need to.

Also, her killing Dinah’s boyfriend is more than “friction.” (Though I, too, wish that civil war never happened.)

It’s crazy to think they could write in a line or two here acknowledging her past evil deeds (maybe don’t have her insult Oliver to his daughter? Or snark about haircuts to Lyla? Or have Anatoly apologize to William for something to remind us that Laurel hasn’t/won’t?) and still keep her on this whole “she’s totally a hero, listen to everyone tell her she is!” track. And articles like this wouldn't have to be changed that much or really at all, except for a line or two and wouldn’t also have to ignore glaring issues.

LOL. I really hope this is all leading to something and not just trying to cram it all in because they're planning a spinoff and don't have time to show it. Could be either one at this point.

Same, because it seems so over the top. I half-expected one of the time loops to have Lance giving a speech to the entire fake city about how much of a hero Laurel is, maybe even more than his own daughter ever was.

So it looks like Dinah and E2 Laurel will be in the same scenes (fight scenes) in next week's episode. I'm curious to see how they handle the fact that both KC and JH are claiming to be Black Canary now.

But I think they’re still calling E2 LL Black Siren — at least in the CW photo captions. And the only instance of her being called BC in-show is Mia talking about all the stories she heard about BC, right?

All I ask if Laurel does get some death/sacrifice moment in 807 is there’s not another Oliver/Laurel on her deathbed — but actually her deathbed this time — scene. I’ve had enough scenes with those two after 806. Give that moment to Dinah to build up that relationship for the spinoff.

  4. From the 806 thread:

And we still haven't seen how Diggle and Lyla end up adopting Connor. Are they saving that for the series finale? Or will it be some throwaway line explanation?

Maybe now they don’t and we’ll see a different Connor and JJ in 809 and the potential spinoff? Could explain comments about a love triangle with Mia and wasn’t AS on set for 809?

  5. Probably a complete exaggeration, but I think more people have told Laurel she’s a hero this season in 6 episodes than people have told Oliver that in eight seasons.

  6. Boring episode. Liked seeing Lance again, but that was about it.

Needed more Oliver, Mia, William, and Connor scenes.

I've had enough of people telling Laurel she's a hero. STOP IT, show.

Saw these floating around....surprised that we'll be getting something (seemingly) so big for tomorrows episode (oops, looks like its the midseason finale). Great looking lineup though.

Dinah in the first photo — 🤨

And in the second photo, I know Diggle and Laurel are probably looking at someone in front of them, but it looks so weird that everyone else is turning toward the explosion. They look like they’ve been frozen in place.

I think they should have Wells’d Laurel. Roast BS on E2. Bring in E whatever Laurel. Clean slate no murder.

I just wish Arrow would treat Laurel doppelgangers like The Flash treats versions of Harrison Wells — like they’re their own people. That BC nonsense in the Mia/Laurel conversation didn’t help.

Felicity isn't there because EBR did not want to be involved at all in this season.

That doesn’t mean the writers can’t put about a minute of time into coming up with a reasonable explanation. In 804, they could’ve easily claimed that Mia couldn’t risk interacting with herself as a baby and Felicity couldn’t get anyone to babysit.

Seriously - and it was mentioned by THREE people tonight. We get it show, we get it. Fully redeemed here, no more baddie, nosirreee.

My problem is they continue to gloss over her time as a villain, with one line here and there that’s immediately ignored, followed by more “totally changed, hero!” I know the show doesn’t want to spend any more time on her than necessary but that could be fixed with one or two sentences. Short ones, too.

  11. Loved all the Oliver/Mia/William stuff. Loved Anatoly. Let's keep him. He apologized to William. Something Laurel will never do.

The Diggle/Roy stuff felt out of place and like it was only in this episode because they needed a reason to not have Diggle go to Russia and the season is only 10 episodes so there's limited time.

The excuses for Connor, Dinah, and Rene's absences were awful.

No more Mia/Laurel scenes, please? Also I have no idea what that conversation was. I was so confused by the beginning of it I think I missed the rest? (And I feel like everyone is more than happy to forget E1 LL existed – Quentin trying to make E2 into her, E2 living her life, now that conversation).

Plus I feel like half the time KC's acting doesn't line up with what E2 is saying – going back to how she was only talking to Oliver in the first couple of episodes even when Diggle was RIGHT THERE, yet E2 LL must mention she doesn't like Oliver in conversations with Mia. But maybe just me.

Oh, and I don't think there's ever been another character in the Arrowverse about who people say "you've definitely changed" as much as with E2 Laurel.
