    And seriously, who does this?

I'm from a military family, I guess, in that all of the males who are of age have served, including my brother, who's a lifer and kind of a rock star. My nephew is currently in ROTC at college and will enter the Army in a year and a half. But you know, we just call ourselves "a family."

My brother is a vet who went to Afghanistan. I thank him every Veteran's Day. I'll applaud his service, not the Dumpster's self-aggrandizing speeches.

  2. I laughed out loud when they showed Jimmy Kimmel's response to Sippy Cupp. Like I said, Monica Lewinsky has been interviewed several times, wrote was interviewd for a book and seems to want to move on. If she wants to go on The View, she'll let her agents know.

Meg does seem get very defensive about her BFFs like Sippy and the woman who accused Al Franken.

    Oh STFU, SIPPY CUPP!????

Monica Lewiinsky was NOT “destroyed.” Someone did interview her: Bawawa Walters did and unlike Stormy, wasn’t prohibited by a non disclosure agreement and referred to President Clinton as her “sexual soulmate.”????And I only know this because ABC kept playing that clip. She did a round of appearances.  So stop with the false equivalency already

This! Not saying that Monica had it easy, but she was never forbidden from telling her side of her story. Here's the thing, as a bleeding heart liberal, I was always on Monica's side. Shocker, right? I mean, liberals always forgive the Clintons, right?

Monica had several interviews in the mainstream media describing how she had sex with a powerful married man, and she always indicated that it consensual. I think Bill got off pretty easy, but I think enough of us believed and felt bad for Monica. She was young and got entangled with an older, powerful man. I don't remember anyone trying to destroy her.

  4. I watch a lot of HLN, but have purposely missed Sippy Cupp based on her commercials. There's something about her delivery I don't like, and today's show hit it on the head for me when she complained about James Franco and Casey Affleck not showing up at awards shows during #TIMESUP. She's just way too dramatic. "The least they can do...the LEAST they can do is show up." Why, so they can get hammered by the court of social media again? Calm down, Sippy. Of course, she's yet another of Meg's BFFs to show up on The View, so why is Meg still feel like she's outside her conservative bubble? She's got a BFF showing up every week on the panel!

Was Megyn ticked off about the little joking (plastic surgery) between Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda on "Today"?   They joke and then MKelly brings an almost vicious diatribe against Jane?   Or did I miss something in between?

As far as I can tell, yes, that was it. A teeny tiny little funny joke at Megyn Kelly's expense. I didn't know anything about her before the Trump "blood coming out of her whatever" stuff, but I thought NBC was nuts for giving her that much money for what turned out to be an incredibly boring talk show.

So Meghan is only going to listen to artists who share her same political beliefs?  Her playlist must be really short.

Megatron is such a walking cliché. Of course she has to listen to country music. It's the only real "AMURRRICAN" music! And I thought she snottlily threw out Shooter Jennings as one of those country artists she'd rather listen to, which is interesting, because he was a Bernie supporter. I bet she has no idea about that though. A lot of Republicans like to think those outlaw country artists like Waylon, Willie and Johnny were card-carrying conservatives, but they were and are must more socially conscious like those elite Liberals.

I think after this week, most viewers have had it with Meg.  I also wish YNB could be on the show all the time. I've liked her since Community, especially when I found out she was also a Oncer and CaptainSwan shipper.

    Yes. She did.

Actually, it was "this is why people hate journalists".  To which I reply: Shut up, Meg. I trust journalists with backgrounds in real journalism over political commentators with art history degrees.

And trying not to get off topic or political, but I'm listening to the audio book version now, and a lot of it is confirming everything I suspected. And I can see why some of these sources would deny what they've said.

I hate the GEICO ad with Randy Jackson and his constant repetition of the word "dog"/"dawg." I know that was his thing during "American Idol," but it's annoying.

I feel so bad for those dogs, especially the Welsh terrier whose tail droops  Shut up, Randy, they're all beautiful.

GEICO can be so hit or miss with their ads. For every time they're clever, they ruin their record by trying to be too "clever".

MM thinks Nikki Haley should run for president?   The UN ambassador who was recently pranked by Russian comedians?  And who tried to threaten other UN nations into agreeing with the US, or we won't be their friends?   Good lord!

Yeah, I nearly spit my coffee out. Nikki Haley?? Is that the best the GOP has? At least she's not Michelle Bachman, I guess.

Meghan McCain is SO unhappy, pissed off, and wrong for this show.  She talks about representing Republicans.  But when Whoopi brings up the Republicans opposing and obstructing Obama,  suddenly it was "I didn't do it!"  Yeah, Meghan, you are not an elected official, so you didn't do it.  But if you are going to speak for conservatives and republicans, then these are questions you need to address.

I sort of tuned out when they were arguing about impeaching Trump, but did MM say that the Republicans didn't call for Obama to be impeached? Because, um, YES THEY DID! And I specifically recall driving past an anti-Obama billboard on the side of I-85 in South Carolina several times. Someone paid for that!

I think you'd like it.  With the heavy duty bag, I was able to bring in about 8 fully loaded plastic grocery bags at a time which was probably about the recommended weight limit of 75 lbs.  It was just a bit of a tug on the stairs, but far superior to looping the bags onto my arms.  Wish I had purchased it a lot sooner, although after using my Amazon reward points, it cost only about $22.  Nice bargain!

My mom got the Climb Cart, and loves it for bringing groceries in from the garage, which has about six steps. I bought one before I moved out of my apartment, and it was great for bringing packing boxes upstairs. Since then, I've moved to a three-story walk-up, but completely forgot about it. I don't have trouble carrying most groceries, but I could use something to bring up cases of bottled water. I wonder if it's better to just put the bottles in the bag over trying to bungee the whole case onto it.

I ???when Meghan was telling Joy that she “didn’t grow up in the sixties” when Joy mentioned Nixon, I think it was. I’m glad Joy was able to correct her and tell her that Nixon’s resignation took place in the ‘70s. I would suggest that she watch the shows The Sixties and The Seventies so that she could get a wake up call about how divided and polarized the U.S. was. She talks and acts as if this is the first time there has been such division and polarization. But she probably wouldn’t because CNN Films made it.

This is a great point. I was young child when Nixon resigned, but I've read enough and seen enough historical documentation to know he had a lot of supporters at the time of his resignation. That's one of my problems with Meghan. I can't stand when someone prefaces their arguments with, "I wasn't born yet".  She was born in the middle of the Reagan administration, which she probably considers one of the greatest periods of American history. If she looked a little closer, she might see that it wasn't all good for "her people" as she calls them.

I've actually purchased three items through VYD, and have been very pleased with all.  The first was a cellphone lanyard that my d-in-law loves.  Then I bought a cool knit hat with Bluetooth fittings for a young'un in the family - also a hit.  Lastly, I've just received a leather handbag that was shown a couple of weeks ago that I bought for myself.  It's very nice - good quality and good price.  I'm not a big shopper, but these just filled a "want" at the right time.

I've purchased 4 items. The first was a UV light whitening toothbrush, which I knew was cheaper than Ulta's price, plus free shipping. That was actually pretty good. I also ordered SleepPhones (earbuds in a headband). It made me feel too hot to sleep, so I never used it. Then I purchased earrings and a necklace from Pink House. I liked them because they're unique, but I don't wear them much. I don't regret the purchases, but I haven't seen anything since to make me want to purchase something again.

I loved Sheila E's rendition of the national anthem. It was soulful and meaningful.

Me too! And the quotes,"Yes, we can!" But then, my favorite version has always been Jimi Hendrix's.

Before seeing Sheila E, this whole week with the soldiers' deaths and the Trump/White House responses has exhausted and saddened me. Meghan McCain's sourpuss on my TV hasn't helped that.

In a word?  Jobs. You know, the ones Trump promised to coal miners.

Ah, yes, those sweet, sweet coal mining jobs. Life was so much better when the coal industries could just blow a hole in a mountain while miners risked their lives on a daily basis.

I wish I knew what the program was, but there was recently a documentary on PBS about a former coal mining town that wanted to establish wind farms instead of opening another mine. To paraphrase one of the interviewees: "If coal mining is so great, why are we so poor?"

I've officially lost patience with Jedidiah. I mean, I'm at the "mute when the camera goes to her" phase. Five minutes into the show:

    1. When 73 million people say they hate the opposing party, "they don't mean that."
    2. "I'm a libertarian." Last week, "I'm a conservative." Before that, "I'm an independent."
    3. "I support climate change, but I don't like the Paris Accord because it wasn't working."

It's like watching Fox News. Reality isn't real to her. She cannot be off this show soon enough.

Right?!? And what the hell does she mean the Paris Accord wasn't working? That's something Fox and Friends probably told her. So we should just go back to letting industries pollute the planet and worsen global warming any way they want because...why?

The other thing that annoyed me is that suddenly Jedi is an LGBTQ ally (I guess because she liked watching Will and Grace), but she supports the rights of right-wing nuts to discriminate against them. Yeah, okay.

I think Jed talks so fast because she knows that once she starts talking she will be quickly interrupted by Whoopi, Joy or Sunny.  Jed is just trying to get her point out before this happens. It can't be easy being the only conservative voice at the table, especially when you have far leaning left panelists who are very rude and don't want to hear any opposing views. The fact that she talks at lightning speed is actually the other panelists fault - especially Whoopi. She is completely insufferable.

I might actually cut Jed slack if she  didn't always respond to others on the panel pointing out that what she's saying isn't entirely true by responding, "Yes, it is, it is, IT IS!" and "Yes he/she did, he/she did, HE/SHE DID! (whatever she accuses Obama or Hillary of).

Not gonna lie...I'm devastated.  Not 100% surprised, though.  But very, very sad.

Am I hoping Jen will cave and do more than one episode as a guest star?  Yes, even if it's not likely.

I will watch S7 as long as Hook's still there.  Although I really have no idea how they're going to have him around, and not her.  They're true love, so they really can't get divorced.  So either they kill her off, and Hook goes back to being vengeful...or they just keep referring to Emma as being home with the kids, which is kinda unlike her...

    Sigh.

I think I trust Jennifer enough that if she knew S7 meant bad things for CS (like more separation), then she would not even agree to doing one episode. I don't think she'd do that to her fans.

You never know, Sean Maguire seemed pretty upset after his character's initial departure in Season 5 and said he wouldn't return, and then he got a mini-arc in Season 6. If A&E actually came up with a decent story line to entice Jennifer back, I could see her doing something similar. Obviously, I don't see her signing on for like 10 episodes, but maybe 2-5 near the end isn't out of the realm of possibility.

This is true. She doesn't want to over commit and jeopardize another job offer, but if the story's good and she's free, why not?

Guys, "A Happy Beginning" is still stuck in my head. I'm gonna have to buy it. It's just so cheery and uplifting. Why couldn't we have this some of the time on the show without music?

Buy it! I think the whole soundtrack is worth it. Like any soundtrack there are weaker songs, but overall it's good to have on your playlist.

Also, there where times where felt like Hook's was getting close into Queen territory (in particular, "Somebody to Love.")

OMG, thank you! I knew that song reminded me of something, down to the guitar riffs. Pure Brian May.

Still love the song, but it was very much more Queen than Disney.
