I personally think EVERYONE looks horrible in those prep class videos. I just don't think a one and half hour class (I actually don't know how long the classes are) is a good way to judge your ability to grasp a style, Let's hope they are evolving. I think comparing one season to another is futile. It really depends who shows up that year, and how much they "like" you, Then they edit the show to justify their decisions. I truly believe that the overwhelming majority of the cuts are based on absolutely nothing.

Stop reading my thoughts and then posting them before I get a chance to. LOL. I agree completely. Kelli seems to be the definition of petty, when crossed. The whole public shaming of Jenna, the hyping of Kashara, and the protracted punishment of Jenna really only has Kelli's fingerprints on it. I've always thought Erica's actions of drinking on the job and posting it, was a f$%k you directed at management. I do think "the rise of Kashara" was sort of directed at her only available target, Jenna. My conspiracy theory is long on conjecture and short on facts, but here goes. Kelli gave Jenna and Holly second chances after whatever happened last season that kept them off the USO tour. So when more mess was uncovered this season, she felt hurt, disrespected, betrayed, etc. You know the rest. Were her feelings justified? I think so. But the reality is it was better for the team if Jenna stayed (proven group leader, best dancer, show group, etc.). The girl is good at her job. Kelli didn't want to shoot herself in the foot, so kicking her two best dancers off was not going to happen. She's a realist. However, she was going to make it hurt. No six year accolades that Jenna was hoping for. Was it petty? I think so. Simply put Kelli held a grudge. Petty, but I do understand it. -

I have some shocking news for y'all. DCC management plays favorites and unevenly applies the rules. There are numerous examples of this. I feel like the hate should be directed at those who made those decisions (Kellie, Judy, Charlotte). Seems about right to me. Your hired. Kellie security will see you out! -

Someone please correct me, but isn't the team vote meaningless. MANAGEMENT DECIDES WHO GETS PRO BOWL. I wouldn't believe the team picked Kashara over Jenna, Lacey, or Jinelle if Kelli knocked on my door as told me so herself. -

What I see is disappointment and regret. She was the uncontested choice for point. She got it, and then got in trouble. She said she was disappointed in herself on the show. I have no evidence to say she blamed someone else or said she was treated unfairly. From the outside looking in she made a mistake, took her lumps, and performed her job to the best of her ability. Besides it looks like they were in formation when it was announced or at least she was standing close to Kashara. Kash got rushed by the girls and Jenna was pressed towards her. No doubt, Jenna was hoping she behaved her way off the shit list. I understand her reaction and the spontaneity of the situation. She did better than I probably could have and congratulated her. I'm so happy that my disappointments are not being recorded. Jenna was set to retire last year, and then "encouraged" to stay. She screwed it up. I think she's allowed to not be bubbly and fake when confronted with her mistakes. Kash stepped up and did her thang, so no hate to her. Jenna has a lot of personal fortitude. She got humiliated but didn't run and hide. She persevered. I admire her for that. She is human. -

I thought team vote was just for show, and that management decides who gets PBC. Therefore, we don't know how anyone voted. -

I agree with you. If she comes back, she'll be point. That's part of my problem with DCC. Once your on show group, you keep it. You never go backward in the formation. Maybe that explains some vet cuts. TPTB (the powers that be) just don't see them moving from the back (and that actually makes sense). Think Jasmine. That reality also undermines the idea that this is a meritocracy, where you earn your spot every year. I think all this chicanery and team politics is why some standouts never make it past year 2. Think Carissa, Mary, Sasha. -

For me, it applies to everyone. Even in this "weaker" squad (I don't think it is) Robin, Cersten, Jinelle, Maggie, Maddie, Kelli, Heather, Jenna, Stephanie, Amy, Bess, or Lacey could have held their own at point. Basically, all of show group should (and I think can) be point material. Kashara was fine at point, not mind-blowing, but fine. If we are using that as the standard (and I'm okay with that), then any of the girls named above get the job done. That is not a slight against Kashara. We know she not the best dancer on the squad, but since point also has to be a role model/leader, as well as a competent, fun to watch dancer, they have plenty of those. -

Pretty please, no. I cannot do another year of the Kashara hype, even if deserved. My wish is that they never have ANYONE at point two years in a row. There is too much talent and dedication by multiple team members to not spread the wealth around. That is my major problem with one lady getting all the accolades. This is a team. No one does it alone. It is a collaborative effort, EVEN if K and J don't like some of the girls. ROBIN MUST BE IN THE TRIANGLE NEXT YEAR. Also, I have a real problem with group leaders not being up front. They're front and center during quarter changes. If they're good enough to teach the dances and do all matter of heavy lifting for the squad, then they need to be up front. IMO the front diamond should be the four group leaders, no questions asked. I'll just let others rip your fourth row to shreds. We can all dream, though. -

I agree it shouldn't, but that's not the way the world or DCC works. It's kind of like knowing the people on the hiring committee at any job. Your application will always receive extra attention. Besides, EVERYTHING on this team is based on favoritism. EVERY DECISION MADE ON THIS TEAM IS SUBJECTIVE. All the powers at be are fine with her in uniform. So am I. I definitely believe she was top 36 in the room, even before the vet cuts. She easily outshines Savannah and Christina. I think the LSU tiger girls have a justified leg up because they dance the DCC style, the coach (who they worth with) can give K and J feedback, and they've had success with many other girls from that squad. If your background, references, and experience were a non-factor, there would be no need for applications or resumes -

Regarding derrieres, they are not all created equal. Shape, fat distribution, underlying musculature, etc. all factor in, as well as, size. People are literally paying good money to have a butt like Keyra's. I actively applaud different body types on the team. Go Kelly! Keyra has several things going for her those other girls didn't. She went to the right University. Danced on the right dance team in college. Had the right college coach, who is a guest choreographer for the DCC. Her best friend is a favorite of Kelly and Judy. Kitty appears to really love her. And she went to DCC functions with Cersten all last year. The girl was the definition of connected. Like they say, it's who you know. -

Agree with everything. I'd just add Maddie, Cersten, Kellie, and Stephanie to the AT LEAST just as good as Kashara to the list. The treatment of Lacey is a head scratch. She trumps Kashara in EVERY category. -

I don't want this to be Kashara versus Jenna. I think that they are both talented, hard-working ladies, who BOTH have many fine qualities. Jenna IMO is the far superior dancer, but can't follow the rules. Kashara appears to play team politics better (meaning follows the rules and is very pleasant to be around). She could be an ass-kisser, I don't know. Kashara did step up to a leadership role, with no experience. Per report, her success at that role is questionable, but I have no doubt she worked to the best of her ability. That probably won her favor from the powers at be. I wish her well. Jenna got to keep all the work of a six year vet and standout dancer (group leader, show group) while losing some perks. I agree that Jenna wasn't going anywhere. She was a PROVEN group leader. If I've learned nothing this year is that, group leadership is a true honor because you are shaping other member on the team. It requires confidence in your teaching and dancing abilities from management. It appears to require commitment, time, and patience with others. That's not something you can BS or smile your way through. And it shows in how your group progresses. I'm proud that Jenna, unlike others Holly, Milan, etc., fulfilled the contract she signed. She didn't bail when things got tough or inconvenient. That speaks volumes to me. I think that K and J acted like a disappointed parent, not an employer. They weren't clear about her punishment and chastised her when she asked for clarification. That is not professional nor world class. We've seen a rash of ladies remove themselves from the squad abruptly. Holly, Mandy, Milan, Alexandria all left voluntarily. (I never bought the family illness story from Alexandria. And no it's not based on any facts, just a feeling.) I really wonder how many ladies just got sick of the corporate environment of DCC. Everyone will not tolerate capriciousness and favoritism and uneven application of the rules. #JustMy2Cents Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays! -

It's not rational. I don't know any of these ladies, nor am I privileged to much of what actually transpired. But Kashara got everything this year. I understand Jenna being excluded, but Lacey and Jinelle are both probably retiring and have put in work. Disgust is just my initial reaction. I'll live. And I hope she enjoys the experience -

Regarding Keyra, I've been disappointed from what I've seen dance-wise. She was hyped so hard in the beginning of the show by multiple guest choreographers and Kitty. I just haven't seen "the Firecracker" yet. Admittedly, I really only closely paid attention to her in the "Baby I'm A Star" routine. She doesn't seem like a struggler, but I haven't seen standout. Regarding her figure, I think she looks great. There was a picture early on, maybe from finals, where her thighs looked thick. However, when I see her dancing they don't even look big to me. I don't think having a behind, has ever been a problem for K and J. I think the ladies with rear assets look better in the uniform. Jinelle (whom I love) often looks like she's dancing in a saggy diaper because she's lacking back there. She's standing next to Cersten, who has a rocking body, at finals, and is holding her own. And their thighs look the same size. I think that early picture really branded her as the thick girl (it did in my mind). I think that one photo left a bad impression. Likewise, her cameo shows behind, but her stomach looks fine. I always judge the need for weight warning by if there is spillage over the belt. I do come from the school of "thick thighs save lives."
