  1. Goddamn it! My PVR and/or TV had a major glitch (it recorded the entire hour, but all I got beyond the first few seconds was a completely black screen) and failed to record this epic-sounding episode. I hope it re-runs soon!
  2. I've semi-repressed the Crazy Cat Ladies case, but I seem to remember the cats were Siamese (?) but had a mutation that made their short hair very curly, which apparently made them a new breed. I remember the plaintiff going off on a tangent explaining that the cats were originally going to go to... someone (3rd crazy cat lady?) to be bred to propagate the new breed, but said third party fell sick with... something, and the cats somehow eventually went to the defendant. The implications of these poor cats being "bred" by these people was actually the scariest thing about the whole case, for me at least. And that's all I got.
  3. *sneaks in* Her name is Jamila M'Barek. Wikipedia has a fairly comprehensive entry about her, but no photo. I did find a rather unsettling photograph of her with her husband/future victim on Darryl Lundy's The Peerage.com. *sneaks back out*
  4. Late to the party, but did anyone else see the words (spoilered for very disturbing war atrocities) in that eye-witness book of the Siege? It was after the part about the women and girls being raped. It was mostly obscured by tight camera shots, but was just visible. This iteration of the show is justly criticized for leaving notable things out and/or not bringing attention to notable things visible on screen, but in this case I don't blame TLC! No wonder Mr. Bergeron was upset while he read that. In lighter news, Wikipedia has a fairly comprehensive article on the Filles du Roi. Other notable descendants of various "King's Daughters" include Madonna, Hillary Clinton, Angelina Jolie, and Roman Catholic saint André Bessette.
  5. I wish I could give you an opinion on the clip show, but in my area they re-ran the Tony Goldwyn ep instead! (They also re-ran Cynthia Nixon instead of J.K. Rowling.)
  6. Eve voiced elf mage Merrill in 2011's Dragon Age II. Gareth voiced another elf mage, Solas , in 2014's Dragon Age: Inquisition. Both characters can be romanced by the player character. ETA: I totally forgot that Indira Varma also voiced human mage Vivienne in Inquisition. She can't be romanced by the player character.
