  1. So I’ve been wondering: at what point in the chronology of VK’s future glories (ROTY, 1GL, diamond/triangle/Point, VOTY, etc…) should we expect CMT to re-shoot the opening of the show to feature VK parading/performing in front of all the other DCC? 😂

Off-season has officially begun ! It's no longer a secret from those in the stadium.

TCC 2020 candidates - pay attention to the news...there could be personnel changes over the summer...don't want to drop the wrong name during an interview question...

what's next on the DCC  calendar ?

    Milkshakes

  3. I agree Christina’s dancing has improved this season, especially since her sit-down/come-to-Jesus meetings with Kelli. My problem with her is I think she always looks tired (facially) and how shall I say this.... a bit past her prime. I know that sounds unkind, but to me she is the very opposite of fresh-faced or vibrant. (I would say the same about Lily.)

If YOU could pick a My Cause My Boots platform, what would you each choose and why?

Mine would be Juvenile Arthritis. 300,000 children suffer from this, and my 4 year old is one of them.

Juvenile arthritis is the term used to describe arthritis, or inflammation of the joints, in children. The most common symptoms of juvenile arthritis are joint swelling, pain, and stiffness that don't go away. Juvenile arthritis is usually an autoimmune disorder.

Thank you so much for starting this conversation. I’ve been touched by so many other posters’ replies (to the point that I couldn’t pick just one cause for myself as with each reply I’d think, ‘yes- I agree with at one!’ until I’d mentally signed on to way too many 😅). Great food for thought to take a moment and reflect on during this holiday season. Thanks again!

Still, squeaky voice little Nora with her tidy hoard was  just as scary as Wilma when the organizers tried to pry a few items from her tiny, raccoon hands.

    Omg....tiny raccoon hands..🤣🤣🤣!

Every time they say something like “There are no obvious cuts” and “this is such a tough decision” and then cut to a clip that shows Meredith dancing, it reminds me of that SNL skit where Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley are trying out to be Chippendale’s dancers.

    Yes yes yes yes!! 🤣🤣🤣

I hated the optics. This is where the men eat all their meals ... and here’s where you little ladies are going to cook. Immediate fast forward.

Totally agree. Plus I guess the little ladies don’t get to eat there, just the men..?

  8. I love this show! Been binge-watching past seasons. I enjoy most paranormal shows, but I like this one in particular because Steve and Amy are such an unlikely yet entertaining duo. Hard-nosed former NYC cop tactfully interviews witnesses who claim to have seen ghosts (“Were you boozin’ it up the night before?” “Been playin’ around with dope?!”) while emotional/expressive young female medium (who looks completely different from week to week, e.g. maybe clean/fresh-faced or..wearing a little make-up or..decked out in full-scale make-up blitzkrieg with who knows what hair color) talks to the dead and calmly describes her hellish monster visions to a sketch artist. I love this show! 🤣

The one thing I will say in favor of this week is we got to see more dancing than we have in previous episodes and not with a guest choreographer. YAY!

Even my husband said, “What’s up with Kelli’s hair???” 😂😂

You know, I have this episode saved via DVR (like the rest) but have been having trouble getting myself to actually watch it..

(Seeing what’s up with Kelli’s hair might be the best incentive I’ve heard yet. 🤣)

The opportunity to take classes to improve herself and lose weight w/ hard work and discipline?   Please - those things are open to anyone who wants to put in the work.

If you’re whole argument is that a regular person would have been blacklisted from DCC forever for not answering a text to or going to an appointment (or whatever it was) set up by the great Jinelle, I respectfully disagree.   Others have done worse and still get reconsidered.   It’s not like VK posed naked or did anything to destroy the brand.  I’m sure girls disagree with each other all the time.  She was also 18 years old when that stuff w/ Jinelle happened.  Lol.

    Can you provide some examples?!

That comment did come with context, though.  Kelli told Kelsey that if she were bacon, she would be chewy, as in not crisp.  It actually made sense to me.

It made sense to me too.  I like the visual food references; another one I like in the same vein (not crisp) is ‘noodly’ … 😂

WTH Kelli.... DCC is not a stepping stone? How can it be anything else, when the average tenure is like 3 years. Is this supposed to be the peak of someone’s entire life experience???

    wow.

It was/still is for Kelli. She never left so why would anyone else want to?!

Could someone post a video of a dancer (female) doing actual hip hop? Cuz I’m as basic white girl as they come and even i know what Maddie does isn’t hip hop. Show me real hip hop!!!!

Two of my favorites right now... 😀

Insiders, what did Gina do? And don't tell me she got outdanced because that isn't possible, so what was it? Sneaking Vikkie milkshakes on the DL? Kicked Ked's cat? Did they mistake her for Dayton? Was she banging a football player? WHAT WAS IT? Because there is no way this is about dance...none.

Maybe Gina gave VK some feedback/advice re: her dancing (and we all know how that would go over)…

Agreed. I don’t see the comparison. They’re both beautiful girls, but beyond that, they seem night and day to me. Kalyssa, love or hate her, never seemed boring, scripted, or timid to me. Rachel however seems dull as dishwater. Now, i say seems because she may be full of personality behind all of that makeup and carefully crafted pageant persona, but I don’t think it has ever come through on the show. Likewise, in terms of dance, Kalyssa was powerful but very messy IMO. Rachel lacks power, but doesn’t have the untrained dancer look. It’s clear she has good technique and a strong dance background.

One thing I gotta say for Rachel -- I loved it when she told Mentor Melissa that a lot of the DCC dances seemed kind of the same to her. I've often thought the same thing (even though I still love watching them dance). Maybe it's just because they use a lot of the same moves but rearranged for different songs... In any case, whether or not anyone agrees, Mentor Melissa's dumbfounded deer-in-the-headlights look in response to Rachel's comment cracked me up. Has anyone else rendered MM speechless before? ;)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the producers told her she had to sum up what she and her husband were doing to an audience for the CMT.  So, she put it in words most people could understand.  We work for the government in foreign locations and move around from post to post (aka diplomats).  Most government employees call them the diplomatic staff.  I don't think she was trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes, but was trying to avoid spending 5 minutes explaining the roles of various levels of workers.

I agree with you; that is exactly what I thought when she said that. Having worked for the federal government for many years myself, I learned fairly quickly I needed to 'fuzz up' my job description for people outside of my specialized area/agency, especially if they did not work for the government.  I translated my job description into a very general, somewhat vague title that is easily understandable to most everyone (but greatly over-simplifies what I actually do).

Now having said that, I do agree Meredith (or CMT if they made the call) did not choose the best general term as "diplomat" does carry a more formal/high-ranking impression with the general public, as rightfully noted in this discussion. I wouldn't have even tried to put a specific title on their jobs; I think it would've been better if she'd said something like 'we work for the State Department, supporting diplomatic activities at the American Embassy' for example. Maybe it would be too 'fuzzy' for CMT (who may have wanted to deliberately inflate how important their jobs sound), but it also might've been more accurate and not raised so many questions. And frankly, although still deliberately vague, saying something like that still makes their jobs sound pretty interesting to me..!
