I remember when Whoopie was older than she is now.  I think she’s been eligible for the vaccine for a little while now.

Whoopie has always been a couple of years younger than I am, I’m 67.  I saw her on Broadway in the mid 80’s.  I think the issue has been that Whoopie has described herself as that “elder, mature know it all” and age peer to Joy who is 13 years older.
    BTW, Arsenio Hall is 65!

Whoopie mentioned having and canceling previous appointments to get vaccinated because she was fearful of needles.
    Whoopie was 65 last November.

It seems like anyone who marries into that family is held to impossible standards and that was doubly so for Meghan because of her entire background as a woman of mixed race, an American, and an actress to boot. I’m sure the mere idea of her has been an affront to them from the beginning. It’s sad that they can’t just let everything

And DIVORCED! And a sketchy family life.

Am I the only one who did not watch the interview last night?

I didn’t either, but did read comments last night.

Joy is very smart and educated when it comes to therapy.  I’d like to add to what she said regarding the person having the most healthy  insight goin to therapy (my words not hers).  Interestingly, when we look at a family system...the person who left the system is usually the healthiest.  It’s usually that family member who is though of as “the black sheep (sorry), the odd duck, the sibling who doesn’t care about us, etc”.  If you want to know how that family really functions, talk to that person.

Amira sounds like a robot. And can these motherfuckers please, for the love of sanity, stop calling each other baby.  Sheeesh.

Interesting you should say that, I keep thinking she looks like she’s in a hostage situation.  She seems so victimized to me.

I am confused as to the type of dress store Jovi's mother took her to, thought they would have gone to a bridal store, that seems to be just a regular dress store.

The bride doesn’t want a bridal dress.  They are going to Vegas. She wants sexy, escort dress.

Mike, you have 3 weeks left on the visa. You need to make some choice and show some respect to Natalie and set her free if this is what you want to do. Not keep her hanging til the last day.

I’m going to lovingly disagree with you.  Natalie seems to just stubbornly hang on.  It’s time to just let it go.  Keep your dignity.  Throwing the ring at him was a dramatic moment for you, so was canceling him and showing up at his door (not literally).  He doesn’t play your game. Just go home.

Jovi is the kind of guy who thinks it’s easier to move on to the next girl rather than deal with his current girlfriend’s emotions. He’s probably gotten this “you need to stop drinking so much and grow up” talk so many times and he’s just like “ah, time to tune out” rather than actually opening himself up to the idea that he needs to change.

People don’t change unless remaining the same is too painful.  Why would he want/need to change now? He works every other week, makes good money, gets to hang out with friends (men and women), travel, etc.  The pregnancy may put some pressure on him but he doesn’t seem to be too upset about losing this girl.  And she is silly enough not to understand that if she leaves for her homeland, life will be fine for him.  He’ll send some $ when he wants to, visit on his own schedule.  He’s just not that into you, honey.

Maryland keeps extending the deadline. I know my I keep getting emails for my mom-who has kept up her license so she can drive when she comes to visit from India—but I’ve stopped getting those emails since pandemic. And now she and my dad can just show their international licenses when they come to visit again. If they ever do.

The deadline is October 1,2021 and it’s mandatory.  Only reason I know all this is because we moved to Md. two years ago and had to get new drivers licenses, car registration, etc.
Now if I could just figure out the emissions testing kiosk I’d be a happy Baltimorean (?).

Back to the View, MM needs to figure out how to sit on her jacket so that it looks crisper.

REAL ID is nothing but adding information to your driver's license. I kept getting emails that I needed to bring proof of my residence to the MVA, they looked at it, typed it in their database and that was it. But that's in Maryland, where I live. Maybe it's different for other states?

There is a deadline for Md. residents to get REAL ID, it’s October 2021, not sure if it’s National.  When you apply you must prove identity by having a Passport or certified birth certificate. You also need proof of Social Security.  The new license will allow you to board an airline traveling within the US and other countries that have agreements to use it as ID without needing a US Passport.

  11. MM as well as many Republicans, seem to be under the impression that there is no point getting vaccinated if you must wear a face mask, remain distance, etc.  They don’t seem to understand that getting vaccinated will protect your life life.

Since when is it "tradition" for the future MIL to go dress shopping with her son's fiancee?

To be fair, I watch “ Say yes to the dress” and mother’s usually go.  Betty said she would go in place of the bride’s mother.

The fact this doctor was charged for not wasting vaccines by tracking down eligible people is beyond ridiculous.  Especially since there are non eligible people hanging around vaccine clinics and getting vaccinated at the end of the day when there are left over doses and scheduled people haven't shown up.

I don’t know, there is something missing from this story.  Not sure how I feel about a doctor taking home vaccines, administering them to family members?

And MM Northerners going to Florida has a lot to do with not paying state income taxes.
