  1. All anyone has to do is tell any Northern Lords that doubt the existence of White Walkers just has to send a raven to the acting Lord Commander of the Nights Watch ie Edd Tollett and ask him what is the truth and they will find out pretty quick. Whether you like them or not when 4,000 people give you the same story then you know it is reliable. Plus all the sailors on Stannis Baratheon's ships tell the exact same story. Also when the guy you ended up choosing as King in the North says (paraphrased): "the war isn't over and the storm brings the real enemy yada yada yada" it isn't a leap to assume anyone that didn't know about the White Walkers would ask him: "Hey Jon Snow, what the heck are you talking about?" Of course this is TV so lots of the time the writers make the characters "brain dead" or "suffering from SELECTIVE amnesia" just to set up some dramatic scene later in the show so I expect when Jon makes the call throughout the North for fighters to defend the North from the White Walkers and the Armies of the Dead at least some of the Northern Lords and/or their fighting men will suddenly act all freaking surprised that White Walkers at are the wall yada yada yada. 2. I think your assumptions of no one believing in White Walkers on the show is no longer “really” true. Ned killing the Night Watch deserter was different with only one witness claiming White Walkers and with a motive to make up a wild story to excuse his desertion and dodge execution. Meanwhile if they have doubts all the Northern Lords have to do is talk walk through the Wilding camp and randomly ask people about White Walkers and the Army of the Dead and the account of the Battle of Hardhome and they will get the same story out of everyone which doesn’t happen when a story is a fabrication. Plus the same story comes from every member of the Nights Watch that experienced Hardhome. The same story comes from every sailor on the dozens of ships that acted as transportation out of Hardhome etc. Finally the Wildings and the Nights Watches says while you Northern Lords lived your comfortable lives in your Castles and lands we on the wall and north of the wall fought each other for hundreds and hundreds of years so what other than an supernatural threat to us both would make us allies yada yada yada. It really isn’t a hard sell. I think the reason you don’t see this is they show runners simply don’t have the time to put in that five minute scene where the Lords say how do you stop these whitewalkers and Jon says I killed one with my Valerian steel sword etc? Also they don’t talk about it just for FALSE drama etc like they did with lady Mormont but didn’t with Lord Glover etc. I think a lot of the time the Game of Thrones show runners decide to make characters (specially the Starks & Northern Lords) purposely stupid for the sake of drama etc. Just my two dirhams worth. 3. Except to dragons. Dragons are the nuclear weapons of Westeros. Warmest Regards, Smoker
  4. Sounds to me like you are projecting Sansa is petty and jealous of Jon verses what I saw on the screen which is exasperated with Jon because he still thinks like Ned while Sansa with everything she has experienced has lost the Stark naivety. I saw Sansa genuinely exasperated in the scene in the tent planning the battle strategy because she sees Jon, Davos & Tormund thinking they are playing Ramsey when it is the trio of “good guys” that are being played by a master manipulator. This scene is what I believe Sophie Turner was referring to in interviews and not Sansa is jealous or angry about Jon being named KITN etc. Also Sansa doesn’t know how to explain Ramsey’s character to Jon in relation to how it will lead to him fighting a battle so Jon doesn’t know how to utilize the “Sansa Intelligence” into a practical battle strategy. Plus he is a Stark so is as honorable and dumb as a post. Just my two dirhams worth. Warmest Regards, SandSniper
  5. I don’t think Sansa is hard to read because I don’t have to speculate about the feelings I get from Sansa’s body language when to understand her all you need to do is just listen to the words coming out of her mouth. There is nothing “angry and jealous” about Sansa saying Jon should take the Lord’s chambers or directly telling him he is a Stark to her. There is nothing “petty and shallow” about the Sansa of Season 6 versus the Sansa of Season 1 when she directly states how wrong Season 1 Sansa was to pray for what she thought she wanted rather than be thankful for what she had with her family and idyllic life at Winterfell. Conclusive proof of how far this girl has come over the six seasons is when Sansa is directly offered both the North and a seat beside potential King Littlefinger on the Iron Throne she politely but firmly (keeping his hopes alive if she needs to play him in the future) turns down Littlefinger. That is not the behavior of an “angry and jealous” or “petty and shallow” woman but someone that knows what is important and it is Team Stark in Winterfell. It was also very telling that the Game of Thrones writers have the friendzoned Littlefinger shortly after making Sansa his offer watching Jon be declared King in the North while Sansa is sitting right beside him in support at the Stark’s table. Sansa has beauty and brains and has learned what is important in life. She has Ned Starks honor & Catelyn’s determination & Ramsy’s pragmatic ruthlessness & Littlefingers cunning and she is going to use them not for her own “petty and shallow” interests but to return her family which right now is Jon & her to its rightful place at Winterfell & the North. What she doesn’t have any more is the Stark’s nativity. I assume Dany is heading south to land her invasion force in Dorne since the Dothraki & Unsullied are used to warmer weather but I hope Varys hears of the North declaring independence from Kingslanding and they turn the fleet to starboard instead of port to make an alliance with Jon & Sansa & the North. So is Sansa as Ramsey’s widow the heir to House Bolton? If yes she should “donate” the Dreadfort and the Bolton lands to the Wilding families so they can wait out the winter in comfort. Also is Sansa still technically married to Tyrone? If so and something happens to him (& Cersei and Jaime end up dead in the invasion) she would inherit Casterly Rock. Sansa is not in too bad a shape from the inheritance game. Warmest Regards, SandSniper
  6. Nice thought but not realistic. Even if Sansa had natural talent and after a couple months could beat all the novices in a real fight she wouldn't be competing against novices but sword fighters etc that have been training for years. There is a reason they have stunt men and body doubles etc for the actors. Years ago I was on the Canadian National fencing team and it isn't easy but took a couple hours a day for years to finally hold my own internationally. Today I train in HEMA long sword & military saber and even after a life time I have to train on a regular basis to maintain the "fencing mojo". For fighters in the "Game of Thrones" universe it isn't a serious sport but literally their life on the line so no one would be a "novice". That said Sansa's best bet to defend herself is to learn to shoot a crossbow. That really is pretty easy to learn and what one of the great advantages of crossbows in the Middle Ages. To learn to shoot an English long bow it took years of practice while you could train a novice to shoot a cross bow relatively quickly. The only real question would be if Sansa was strong enough by herself to load the cross bow. She looks pretty fit and has some real height so as long as she could load it I think learning to shoot the cross bow for self defense is her best bet. Just my two dirhams worth. 7. Cersei Lannister might be a major evil bit*ch but I have a real weakness for short haired women and Lena Headey with her post "walk of shame" haircut turned into exactly my type. She really is a heartbreaker. Warmest Regards, SandSniper
  8. Are you guys watching the same show? Why in this thread is Team Sansa & Team Jon trying to get fight club going when the characters Sansa & Jon are 100% together and fully committed to Team Stark? Sansa and her super powered sewing skills whipped up a Ned Stark look alike wolf coat/cape for Jon. She apologized for not telling him about the knights of the Vale. When he said she should take the Lords chambers she said he should take it. When Jon said he wasn’t a Stark Sansa’s exact words were: “You are to me”. Heck Jon on the battlements saying he wasn’t a Stark and calling her the Lady of Winterfell showed that he has no ambitions to screw Sansa out of Winterfell or the North or anything. When Sansa was offered the North & maybe Queen of all Westeros instead of backstabbing Jon she friend zoned Littlefinger but was smart enough to keep his hope alive if she needs to play Lilttlefinger. I think it was very telling at the religious tree when Sansa said when she was a girl she used to pray for what she thought she wanted i.e. to be Queen in Kingslanding rather than be thankful for what she had with her loving family and idyllic life at Winterfell. If Rickon Stark had lived I have no doubt if Rickon wanted it both Sansa and Jon would have happily stepped aside and accepted him as the true heir. After being so royally screwed over in three arranged marriage engagements if Ygritte would have lived and Jon told Sansa he loved her I bet dollars to donuts Sansa in a heartbeat would have accepted the wilding girl as her sister in law and with her mad sewing skills whipped up a wolf embroidery pattern wedding dress for Ygritte overnight. Sansa 100% supports Jon as King in the North and she knows Jon needs her skills in scheming learned the hard way to protect Team Stark from Littlefinger. Sansa has his back because she knows Jon is just as honorable and naive as Ned Stark. Maybe they didn’t have time in the script but it would have been nice when Jon and Sansa were on the battlements that Jon said “You sure were right about Ramsay setting traps and I stupidly ran right into it”. And then Sansa saying: “I didn’t tell you about the knights of the Vale because I didn’t know if it was a sure thing and I am still mentally screwed up over trusting even the people I love because of my experiences over the last several years yada yada yada. But I really didn’t need Jon or Sansa to say it out loud because that is exactly the vibe I got from both of them. You guys can try to construct some Jon & Sansa fight club scenario in your heads but I think you guys are wrong and those two crazy kids are 100% together watching each other’s backs playing for Team Stark. Just my two dirhams worth from the Middle East. Warmest Regards, SandSniper PS
