Poor little Truely broke my heart.  "It will take me years to get over it."  Honey, someday you'll realize that your dad and moms are all buffoons who just continually run away from their responsibilities.  (The scene of them fleeing Utah in the night- with the superimposed sirens sounding over the hubbub- was a joke. The only thing I found interesting in that scene was that Meri's complexion looked normal in hue.

I remember watching that back in the day, but the "Hurry, hurry!" and the superimposed sirens...just ridiculous.

Somehow, Christine and Janelle managed to overcome the bothersome detail of not being legally married when they pushed out 6 kids each for the Kingdom of Kody.

So I don't think I've ever seen this addressed here and I had never really thought of it before. Unless they legally changed their last names to Brown via a name change (and not via a legal marriage) do Christine and Jenelle go by Brown as their last name on legal documents?

I really hope her B&B remains successful--but I also hope she's not forking over the money she makes from that business into Kody's grubby little hands.

She shouldn't be if they did not put any money into it.

Moving 19 times sounds like an exaggeration. He married Meri in 1990, Janelle in 1993, Christine in 1994 and Robyn in 2010.

Wow - I did not realize it was 16 years between Christine marrying Kootie and Robyn marrying Kootie.

I swear, every time Robyn comes on during the theme saying, "It just feels like destiny.  Like we should have all been together from day one..."

I just picture them all as toddlers fighting over Kody.  😂

I just picture them all rolling their eyes because things didn't seem to be great before Robyn, but they sure seemed better than they are now.

At the very least, I think Kevin's reaction won't be out of anger since he knows Zoe doesn't want kids for sure, even if she was pregnant.

Or maybe, if you are adamant that you do not want kids, you do something to prevent pregnancy in the first place...just sayin'

I have not liked Mitch this season since I felt like he didn't care for Aspyn. However, I was impressed with the way he carried himself in this episode. He was the only one who impressed me (at least a little).

Exactly what I thought as well. I actually changed my mind about Mitch (at least for now). I saw his face light up when he talked about her, when he opened the marriage certificate and when he saw her coming toward him at the wedding. I still have not watched this whole episode. I'm watching in 3 sessions because 2 hours of the Browns at one sitting takes a lot out of you. lol But I'm with everyone on how obnoxious Aspyn's giggling at the altar is. Geez. GTFU Aspyn - you're about to be a married woman (well, she is now, but was on the verge of it at that moment).

I bet bad guys don't wear seat belts, so the same though occurred to me.

I was even going to add that at the end saying the way he was leaning forward so intensely, I bet he wasn't wearing a seat belt either. LOL Great minds...

Great episode but agree with another poster in that Gordon should have been sent to prison.

As many times as that car rolled, he could have been thrown clear???? It's been known to happen on tv shows...just sayin'

To bring this back on topic,

Wasn't trying to go off-topic. I posted this because everyone was saying how unbelievable and/or over the top the stories were. I agree, the woman's face peeling off and the shark were a bit unbelievable (although I remember when this show started they said the story lines were all based on real news stories). But the story of the two boys really did happen (and as the other person said upthread, there was another story very similar to it of which I was not aware either).

  11. So I guess I started following this WCTH forum after it was revealed, but I didn't realize most people felt it was LL who squeezed Daniel Lissing out. I am not a naive person (understatement of the year) but I seriously bought into LL's whole celebrity persona of being humble, kind, etc. I mean, c'mon...she was Aunt Becky!!!!

All that being said, if she really was the reason he left the show w/no other projects in the works, maybe Hallmark will consider bringing him back. Think  about it - how better to get viewers' attention and loyalty back?

So the kidnapped children storyline could have been shown to be even darker, although it was pretty bad enough as it was. I recognized the names that were referenced from real life: Parnell and roughly the same ages of the two boys that he stole and then sexually abused. They made a TV miniseries about it - I Know My First Name Is Steven. God, It was incredibly sad.

This was also very similar to a real life story here in Missouri. I will not mention names because both boys have asked for privacy in returning to their regular lives, but a boy was missing for 4 years I believe it was. Another boy turned up missing 4 years after the first boy's disappearance. They found him within a few days and low and behold, the first boy had been held by this abductor for all those years. And they were both sexually abused by this jerk. And the older boy was brainwashed so badly that he hung out with friends from school, etc. and was too afraid to tell someone or get help for himself. When they found these boys, it was a moment for many here in Missouri where you remember where you were when you heard the news and immediately starting crying tears of joy. If you are interested, google "The Missouri Miracle".

  13. Quoted from the live discussion feed which is still on topic in this one:

    Quote

"The drape of Janelle's dress over her large stomach is not a good look

Ya, I cringed a little on seeing that blue dress on her...and the shiny fabric???  No"

If Janelle had worn some shape wear with that dress and a different hat, it might have been okay. As is, she looks like if the Sta-Puft Marshmallow Man and Little Debbie had a baby. LOL I crack myself up!

  14. Hubby and I binge watched this show this weekend after stumbling upon it on Netflix. I read a couple articles re: if NR will be renewed and it seems as if there is a good chance. I hope so. We enjoyed it.

    - I agree - the wardrobe was a bit behind the times. Maddie looks like Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan. Her friend who wears the "G" necklace - reminds me of Goldie Hawn's character (the rich version) in Overboard.

-I thought Maddie did the teenage angst thing well. You want to knock the snot out of the little shit, but you actually do like her and have empathy for her underneath it all.

-Someone said William Baldwin looks so old. I agree he has aged quite a bit since he was in the movie Backdraft; however he is the second to the youngest Baldwin brother.

-One thing that bugged me to no end - the character of Taylor is supposed to be about 12 or so. They have her acting as if she's about 7 or 8 years old. The Christmas decorations...just very "baby-like".

-And as much as I liked the actress who played Charlie - and as pretty as I think she is - that haircut looks greasy and like someone chopped it off with hedge clippers while blindfolded.

would even go so far as to say that I would watch a show of her doing just that, way before I would tune into another boring episode of Sister Wives.  I would pay half of my life savings to see the look on Kootie and Sobbin’s faces if the network said to them, you are done, but we’ve struck a great deal with Mary and she has a brand new series.  Can you see them all falling over themselves to get in her good graces?  Hilarious!  Not the boss anymore, huh Kootie?  Blessed cummupance!  Now, what do we call this show, so I can write the proposal to the network?

I have thought the same for a long, long time. Wouldn't that make for a great show? And like you said, we may not see the KARMA hit Kootie & Sobbin smack in their ugly faces, but we'd KNOW it was.

Quite frankly, I am getting tired of both Randall and Beth and their "waaa waaa my dreams waaa waaa!  My DREAMS waaa waaa!!".  They have three minor children at home - it's time to grow up and focus on them.  There must be enough going on with them - what parents of three minor children have the time or energy necessary to focus on themselves and the fulfillment of their dreams?

    AMEN!

I think they should bring back Brooke Shields as Jack's mom and cast a older French Actress as the new owner of the cafe. I bet there are some movie stars that would want some of that Hallmark money.

Julia Ormond would be a great French actress for the owner of the cafe. And I like Brooke Shields coming back as Jack's mom too. Hallmark already announced that WCTH will not be seen this Sunday. Hope they don't just kill it altogether.

we went the opposite way. Once we knew gender at 20 weeks, we made the final call on the name and started telling people. This approach works well if you really don't give a crap what people think--and we fall into this bucket. It gave the members of our family who thought our names were odd (they are traditional names but not super common) time go get over it and any reaction happened well before baby arrived. By the time baby arrived everyone was used to it--plus its easier for people to get you gifts with the baby's name on it 🙂

My daughter and son-in-law did same thing and I liked their name choice, which like yours was traditional but not very common either, although she spelled it by one letter being different from the traditional way and so we had to get used to that. I have and I love her name now, but it is a real PITA with autocorrect! LOL

Also I totally have noticed that outlets look like surprised faces before and now I'm wondering if that makes me weird.

I have always thought the front grills/lights of cars look like faces. And it really surprised me a few weeks ago, my 28 year old daughter was talking and told her husband how her mom always said cars have "friendly" or "mean" "Faces". The other day, I saw a car's grill/lights and it shocked me how much it looked like a storm trooper's helmet in Star Wars.  So, no, Kilda, you're not weird. Because if you are - I'm SUPER WEIRD! LOL
