Hmmmm, I thought Darcey's daughters were rude and entirely too grown-acting. The MAN said he didn't want the food? Who the hell is Aniko to further question him as to why not? And to tell both her mother and Jesse, they are acting her age??? True or not, that is so not her place. And the damn nerve of little Aspen to outright contradict Jesse and tell her mother she was NOT starting. OMG, unless your adult mother asks you for help or to call 911, just be quiet! 11 and 12 y/os should not be critiquing adults on their behavior over dinner. That scene was shocking to me.
TBH, I don't think Paul is all that bad (the one glaring exception is the arson). Seems like he could be good husband to the right Alpha type woman. I think y'all are being a bit hard on Paul.
Why didn't Graceline (Karine's mother) color her hair for he wedding? Nothing fancy...just a box of Ms Clairol from the supermarket? Why attend your daughter's (televised) wedding w/ 2 inches of graying roots? I don't get it.

Why didn't Karine's dad make any effort? Maybe they didn't have the funds, or it's all make believe, so they figured, why bother? Although,that little party on the boat looks nice, and looks like it cost a pretty penny.

So while Dean was forceful and pointed in his demeanor, the questions were the same that Tarik has and probably doesn’t ask.
It will be interesting to see if the confrontation pushes them apart or brings them closer.
And I could be way off base here, but I'm willing to bet Hazel knows a few good moves (well placed kicks or jabs) to protect herself from a man. I feel like she's had to learn those moves. Just a hunch.

I think she knows her daughter is PG. Dad doesn't. Mom does. She is covering for her like Lady Grantham covering for Lady Mary & Mr. Pamuk on Downton Abbey. Mom Kareeenee is trying to get her married pronto.
Yes! That is EXACTLY how I interpret her tears. She's not crying because her daughter has hooked her wagon to Paul...she's crying because now her daughter is in the unfortunate situation where *that* is the best choice.

Sorry if this has been mentioned -- I was babysitting my almost 1 year old grand-twins on Sunday, and missed the first hour of the show....did I see a clip (in the previews) of Karine in a hospital bed? What ever happened with that? Thank you!

Angela- I give her props for learning a few phrases and how to greet Michael's mother. It's more than most of the 90 day fiancee gang does. However she lost me with the ciggies and the way she acted at the market. I don't think he meant to be insulting by calling her fat. English is not his or the shopgirl's first language so I think he was trying to correctly explain the situation using correct terms and it just came out wrong. He was trying to do something nice for granny and she couldn't just accept it. She would probably look thinner in a Nigerian dress, all covered up, without back fat hanging out.
Rickey- Not only does he wear camo, he wears clashing camo as an all over outfit. I'm thinking this whole trip wasn't about meeting Melissa, he just wanted time away from his children and responsiblities and failures of everyday life to have a boinkfest. I love that he's all" I want to be a gentleman and not pressure her....." cause he just totally planned this trip without her input and showed up and demanded she meet with him and drop everything to hang out with him. It seems like tricky rickey has another lady in line . Shopping for stepmoms in columbia.
Tarik-ki tikki tavi- Hazel can do so much better. I love that he wore his best pharroh tank top to meet her parents. No one knows how to make a great first impression like this bozo. Yes, the church service was weird and too long. Tar pit needs to understand that this is ingrained in Hazel, she will likely carry some of her beliefs with her and might even want to go to church if she comes to America. If she's away from home, lonely, etc.... she might draw into that sort of community and have deeper beliefs even if she seems non religious away from her parents NOW.
Jesse/Darcy- Dang her sister is the younger looking /prettier twin! Jesse is always threatening to just full leave. Then leave! No one wants to see them! I usually tune these two out, but I wanted to see the house they were staying in- it was very pretty and definitely the star of their segment. Even if I believed this was a real actual relationship; they would never make it- they are fighting over how to eat pizza and elbows so there is no hope.
Karine/Pol- I hate Paul more each week. Probably the only way Karine can deal with him is to tune him out by focusing on social media and not caring about anything. She does act like a 12 year old, but he probably likes it. Her parents always seem so nice and caring. They probably know she'll have a better life in the US so they okayed the relationship.
The Lucy show- I really didnt think Jon's sister was rude at all. She probably knows and has dealt with Jon's behavior and girlfriends forever and I do think she's tired of it and was trying to warn rachel . And yes, Rachael needs a makeover; you can go to nice goodwills and get really cute flattering outfits so she has no excuse to wear baggy t-shirts and jeans every single day.
Unless that's what she likes/prefers to wear.

Even a lower middle class life here is so far superior to their living conditions in Philippines and Nigeria. I don't mind Tarik, yes the dumb shirts and hat, but he seems like a nice and decent man with nice looks. Again he does not know Hazel at all. I doubt she is as lazy as Kriny is though, man what a piece of work.
If she is pregnant, she may not be lazy, but may be consumed with the overwhelming fatigue that comes in the first trimester. Not that I'm defending her at all.

Similar argument for Hazel's church service. A shrug and a brief "whatever makes her happy" is not nearly sufficient.
Yes. Yes, they do. I knew a man who married a girl from the Philippines. She lives similarly to Hazel. In fact, she worked in another country as a domestic, and sent money back home. When she married this man (and her family similarly showed up at the airport with a welcome banner, it was expected that her new "rich" husband would regularly send money back to her family (as well as other items).

She can't say she's pregnant, otherwise he'd "know." So she does the next best thing: pushes him to start a family, and after he agrees, she "magically" becomes pregnant. And her - and Paul's - baby is born very premature.

I would never, never, never go on TV to announce the fact that I'd had sex with a perfect stranger, much less giggle over how many times it was, and start going for #3 or #4 right then and there. I mean, how in the world does she think that's ok? This woman has absolutely no boundaries. Cringeworthy, Angela...cringeworthy. Maybe it's the fact that I just turned 53 that her antics disgust me even more. Others may find her openness refreshing. I just can't get past her lack of decorum.

He is a great catch but at age 56 after 15 years of ex drama, he doesn't want to date.
Or maybe they want someone who doesn't call them fat.

On a side note, if you are not watching the screen and are in a different part of the house, Angela's voice sounds a lot like Mama June's. Must be the Georgia.

I wish Michael and his friends would stop referring to Angela as a "grandma" in relation to him. She's old enough to be his "mom", not his "grandma". There's not 40 years separating them, is there???
