Unfortunately, HGTV has decided this is going to be their new "hook." All the promo spots for this show are focused on their divorce and the tension between them.

All their shows are now about families and their drama. The Property Bros (one of them got married, yadda), the Fixer Upper people, the one where the lady had a baby.

If I want reality tv about people, I'll go to TLC. I go to HGTV for Home and Garden TV.

This series will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the National Health Service, with chefs cooking celebratory and heartfelt dishes in tribute to the heroic staff of the NHS. Once again in charge of picking the perfect four-course menu are judges Andi Oliver, Oliver Peyton OBE and Matthew Fort.

The chefs and guest judges are listed on that page!

  3. James. Who doesn't/can't watch the show anymore.

Erik, who is all zen about his amazing balls-up. (hah)

And KEVIN HART? Why give away real estate in your own show?

Did we hear ANYTHING from the other contestants? Cripes, a great way to make me want to skip watching the reunion shows after the winner's announced, Probst.

I like to eat cottage cheese but have never had luck cooking with it. It's too liquidy. I don't make lasagna very often, but I always use ricotta.  I am finishing off a yummy dish that i make every now and then. It's a casserole with roasted eggplant, tomato sauce, ricotta, eggs and lots and lots of Parmesan cheese. You can season it however you like. I did the called-for Italian flavor profile, but I could see this easily going Greek with oregano and lemon and feta. To make it a complete meal, I add cooked orzo. Even with lower fat ricotta, it's still a very rich dish.

Do you have the recipe for that? Sounds yummy!

I've always read and heard to put a generous amount of salt on the sliced/diced eggplant and leave it alone for about 20 minutes then rinse it thoroughly. That's supposed to draw out a lot of the bitterness.

I think Ree made some "new-fangled" Middle Eastern dip, baba gnanoush?  Baba O'Riley? (LOL! For us old Who fans out there!) I am sure that she added her cowboy touch to it with healthy additions of jalapenos and Tabasco. /eye roll

Taught by my grandmother: slice the eggplant, layer it with salt in a colander, weight it down (I put a plate on it with a weight/can/whatever on top). Let it sit for at least a half hour.  Pat the salt off , cook. All the bitterness will go away.

Oh, make sure there's something UNDER the colander to catch the liquid.

I lightly pan fry the slices. Then freeze them up so I always have them on hand, either for quick eggplant parm, or eggplant and sausage sandwiches, or whatever.  I'll do half breaded (Italian breadcrumbs), half not.

If you make lasagna, which cheese do you use, cottage or ricotta?

Ricotta, lest my Sicilian ancestors all roll over in their graves.

And ricotta assertive, my butt! Cottage cheese is both the wrong consistency and too wet.

When they first show Chelsea struggling she curiously looks to the right (at Dom and Wendell) and not to the left towards Anglea. Why? Because Angela had already dropped out at that point.

Err, if Angela had already dropped out, Chelsea would've been gone. She wasn't competing for the II against Dom & Wendell, just Angela. Well, her temp team had to go to tribal first, but for her, she won once Angela was gone. The rest didn't matter to her.

I could totally imagine Kellyn as being the type of "good" girl that just snaps and kills someone and while she's getting arrested and having the bloody knife taken away from her, she'd be saying something like "Naviti strong! We were one tribe! I did it for Naviti!". She'd fit in great with a cult.

    That's awesome!

I'm glad Michael is gone. I think I'm too old to appreciate his, to me, very average looks. He's ok. He didn't really do any game play.

  8. I'm still boggled by the narrative that she kept the 2nd pregnancy a secret. She was pregnant during that whole Beach Flip show with David Bromstad and Josh Temple. They even made a point of her not being able to do some things because of her being pregnant.

In addition, the very last frame of the season of Rehab addict that she did while pregnant showed her sitting in a window, bump on full display. Later on, they did edit it out, but there it was, right out there.

    She loves to rewrite history.

Edited to add a picture of her during Beach Flip:

Yeah, and he told her it looked good, and she ended up going to TC looking like her hair had been set on fire.

Des:  watch Donathan.  He knows how to lie.  :)

Seriously! She looked like a mouse had been eating it while she slept.

And yup - I think Donathan's game is being underrated.

Kansas and Missouri don't have much to offer in the way of "signature cuisine." We've seen Ladd ruin perfectly good K.C. strip steaks with his buttery/lemon pepper baptism, so I wouldn't suggest that.

Well, the picture shows Fogo de Chão, so they have at least SOME really good food!

I still don't remember who was on which original tribe so I never understand their voting blocks.

This is the problem with so many switchups before merge. I wish they'd learn, we can't get invested when they're always doing that!

In other news, I knew Des was going early on. (and I never know. I'm Ms Clueless) Her THs were all "I'm gonna shake it up, make a move, yadda" and then boom. She severely overestimated her own abilities. Yes, everyone knew you were lying, Des.

Another region that has failed to live up to expectations is Florida. Granted, I have only been to Orlando and Sarasota/Tampa and didn't care for it.  Everybody had heard the story 1,000 times now about how I spend a dreary Saturday night in a Sarasota hotel room due to my painful pre-surgery hip and then I sprained the opposite ankle and out of boredom, I downloaded and read Ree's memoir.  I would like to see a Key West sunset mostly because I've read some mystery books set there and I am intrigued but it seems very very touristy.

I've lived over a lot of the US. I lived on South Miami Beach for a while in the 90s. Loved it, but it got SO expensive. But I adored south Florida. Also lived in Tampa, and I could easily go back there, or really, Saint Pete.

I've been in Texas 19 years now. I'm basically resigned to it, but the summers are dreadful. I'd take Hawaii's lack of seasons to ours. We have the cold season, and the OMG-I'm-Gonna-Die hot season.

I was raised in PA, lived there first 29 years. I sometimes miss the seasons, but not the ice storms!

And then I listened to his rap at Ponderosa and I started to understand why they would vote him out. There is no way in hell I would want to live with someone who rapped that badly and thought it was gold. I mean, it would be like living with a delusional Vanilla Ice. Well, a more delusional Vanilla Ice. I couldn't do it. Just no. Absolutely not. I think it would be easier to live with Bradley then Chris. Worse yet, Chris seems to be legitimately like that. I don't get the Coach vibe from Chris, that he is playing some ridiculous character who thinks he is all that. I think this is actually who Chris is and oh my god is he annoying. Just so, so wrong.

That video, my god. He was posing like a Sears catalog model too. I would've done a Cher "Snap outta it!" Moonstruck-slap to him.

  16. I came here just to comment on this Ponderosa. SO. BAD. So much 2nd hand embarrassment.

He speaks of himself in 3rd person, by his full name.

He was voted out because they feared his smartness?

Oh lord, the kind of delusion.

Because he loves Quentin that freaking much! Dear lord, the fanfic writes itself. Oh, wait, that shit happened in cannon! His face when Q was saying how he was going to sacrifice himself to get magic back and stay with the monster was so heartbreaking, I knew he would do something.

    I KNOWWWWWWWWWWW. Oh my heart.

I’m not saying that all of these sacrifices were smart but everyone made these sacrifices believing that they were doing the right thing for others.

Those have to be rewarded - by someone. I thought Iris was full of shit. I think she was there just to thwart the others. I wonder if she's part of a faction of gods that didn't want magic restored because without it, the gods were the only ones with juice.
