I wouldn't put it with "Modern Warfare" or "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" either, but I agree, it's definitely one of the best of the season. I'd probably put it second behind "Cooperative Polygraphy".

The old Survivorman episodes were as close to reality as I've seen. One guy, his cameras, and 7 days alone in the wilderness; that doesn't lend itself well to a lot of setups, trickery, producer interference or misleading editing.
More realistic than Man Vs. Wild, anyway, that's for sure.

I finally saw that eHarmony ad you've all been talking about, just a few minutes ago. Good frikkin' Lord, is she annoying! (And what is she, 10? Shouldn't she be able to pronounce her R's by now?)

Indeed it is! Your turn, yeswedo!

My favourite's the truly epic Godfather parody, with Guy Cavalieri fending off a mob way between the networks. (One of the high points, of course, was Mr. Ed's head winding up in somebody's bed.) :)

From An Outdated Lab In A Community College: Real Life Genetic Research Vs. Orphan Black
in Orphan Black [V]

I've noticed a lot of the discussion in some of the threads tends to veer towards the actual science behind cloning and genetic research. I figured it would make for a great topic all on its own, so here we are.
I was inspired by an article that showed up on my home page this morning about scientists who added a pair of chromosomes to an E. Coli bacteria, essentially creating a new form of life. Totally something you could see DYAD trying to pull off.

(Sorry, couldn't find an embeddable link.)

Okay, after rewatching the video, I realized they added synthetic nucleotides, not chromosomes. It's still the same first step down a slippery ethical slope, though, you ask me.
