  1. Were they in DC? For some reason I thought they were going to his NY office.
  2. I heard "gateaux salé," which makes more sense. https://www.saveur.com/culture/french-savory-cake/ That would kind of work as a fancy one-dish lunch. (But I think the prop guys just cut up a few Sara Lee pound cakes.)
  3. After Willow tossed out a few crumbs, I'm just super relieved that the writers didn't have Nina stick around the office and try to get Willow to come over for a sleepover or something, only for Willow to say, "Ugh, why do you always have to push your agenda on everyone?"
  4. I know it would be tacky, but it would have served Blaze's mother right if Maxie had informed her that the reason Brooklyn "just walked away from performing" is that her throat literally got slashed. (Of course, it really doesn't make sense that the mother knows every other minute detail of Brookyn's life EXCEPT that.)
  5. Sasha should not be the cook at the Q's -- what the hell? In my fantasy, that's Nina's take if they finally sit down for lunch. Nina will say that in fact she was just about to offer Sasha an opportunity to host shows on Crimson's digital platform, edit the print makeup section, be the model wrangler for the magazine -- ANYTHING that's more in her beauty background wheelhouse.
  6. GH is certainly one for over-correcting at times. While I'm glad it's not celebrating the mob these days, now the show seems to be wallowing in copaganda. They might as well just call the show PCPD.
  7. Those Ava/Nina scenes were great. When Ava dropped the mask, it was pretty chilling. Even though the dualism of Sonny is a well-worn GH trope, I did enjoy them debating whether "Mike" or the mafioso was the true Sonny, and which of the two women know him best. I don't think Nina and Sonny are necessarily done for good, at least the way Kristina the Greek Chorus is telling it. Sonny wanting to end things with Nina is laid out as the pills plus Ava's manipulation. If he comes through that and Nina hasn't moved on, they may reconcile/remarry.
  8. I will CAUTIOUSLY say that for the moment, Jason has a bit more emotion to him. He's teared up more than once, and he's more focused on "wimmin stuff" like friends and family than previously. We'll see what happens after he and Sonny are reconciled.
  9. Thanks for posting the full, @ffwbe! Oddly, they split the nominations between last night and this morning, so in terms of soaps, only the shows and the lead actor/actress categories were announced last night. I hate that The Hat's story is such Emmy bait.
  10. Cynthia and Finola got nominated for a Best Actress emmy. No best actor noms from GH.
  11. I have a memory that Canada being a day ahead of the U.S. was a feature, not a bug. Does anyone else remember this?
  12. He seems to run the police academy. I think we only saw him one other time, about a week ago, when Anna asked him to consider Dex.
  13. I'm torn because while I agree that the STORY of Sonny and Nina fell off in favor of her pining for Wiley & Co., the interactions between them were much fresher than those of Sonny and literally anyone else.
  14. I CANNOT figure out what Ava is planning. She obviously isn't the "source" for the bad pills, but I don't know that she's going to let Sonny know when she finds out they're essentially sugar pills. My guess is she'll figure that his paranoia seems to be working toward her advantage, so she'll let it ride -- and/or, she'll somehow figure out who's behind it, and blackmail Valentine. Mo is marginally better with Maura than he is with the mobby stuff (the Brick stuff was torture), but not as good as he is with Cynthia. I think it's because Ava is so "noir" that it slows Mo down even more, whereas CW is playful and he really sparks with her.
  15. I don't know how to say this delicately, but is LW feeling insecure this week? She's had that trench coat on for days and days. She briefly had it off in the hotel room and looked fine, so I don't really get it.
  16. I have been watching GH since the earliest Heather days, and I do want to say that the Jeff Webbers and the Rick Webbers were very much intertwined -- both in terms of socializing and in terms of the brothers confiding in each other about marriage and kids. Heather's mother was even Rick and Lesley's housekeeper/unofficial family member. So Laura considering Heather a big part of her past is legit. Having said that -- Laura, have you lost your damn mind? Baby rabies has been baked into Heather's character profile from the very beginning, and Laura had a front row seat for it as a teen. Stealing Ace will be task number one for her if she gets out, cobalt or no cobalt.
  17. It takes a special kind of chutzpah to vent about how you could be running the MC better, when you not only lost your half on a risky venture that could have killed the whole complex, but also have refused several attempts to get you the MC back including but not limited to: A) Nina outright offering it to you for free B) Nina offering it at a reduced price and C) Several friends and former lovers offering to give it to you. It seems to be in the wind that Carly will have it back soon, probably via Jason, and then we hopefully won't have to hear her bitching about the hot water heater any longer.
  18. Well, that was fast -- Drew and Nina getting down, I mean. (I hope they don't get interrupted.) We knew it was heading that way, but I thought Drew would have to whine and moan for another couple of months. "What color does this look like to you?" I have the same question to my fellow forum mates, because it looked like blank cardstock to me.
  19. It occurred to me that, sadly, if a few people are at risk, things aren't looking so good for Ava. She's doing one of those 180s (actually a 360) that formerly semi-redeemed characters sometimes do, just before they get off'd.
  20. He actually said, "I'm going to wait on celebrating the Michael Easton rumor because he isn't one of the names I heard, but I'm hoping it is true. #GH"
  21. They're gossiping on Twitter that three cast members will be gone by summer, possibly including Dr. Michael Eastman. Just when I'm starting to root for him and Elizabeth!
  22. It definitely is, but from the show's perspective, she would have been arranging shipments and whatever vague stuff they usually show Sonny doing. I don't think it could be the merger stuff, because that was well after Jason was intercepted by the FBI.
  23. I can see why someone wrote in his Insta "I'm beginning to wonder if you have a face." He appears to be a good-lucking young man -- why is he never seen full-on? Or is that just the style now?
  24. From an admittedly generous perspective, Jason's protection of Carly isn't necessarily more than she "deserves." It depends on what the exact charges are, but they probably stem from the time that she had to take over the mob duties to keep the family from getting killed. Sonny's "death" put her in that position (per the writers at the time).
  25. I believe she's her business manager, and Brooklyn is her "music manager." I have to say, though, that her mom was pretty much on the money in that meeting. It is kind of sketchy that the white model didn't work out because she was "too wholesome," but that the Latina model won't have that issue. Good for her for asking for clarity about "edginess." It's also true that while a rock star in a print ad for beauty products can still be cool, doing the QVC thing is definitely going to take the edge of your image immediately. So, other than the gay panic that crept in there at the end of the meeting, go, Mrs. Blaze!
