I agree that Gleb/Jane are still around because he's easy on the eyes & they have fiery chemistry. Sharna/James have some heat, but Lindsay/Calvin and Laurie/Val both have sibling type relationships. So I think a lot of people are drawn in by Gleb/Jana's sparks. I'm indifferent to their staying. The other three couples are the ones I really wanted to see in the finals, & I can't wait to see their freestyles! ?

I hope you're right about the judges wanting to send Terra home with perfect scores. I feel like the judges constantly drown her in praise when her performances are good but not great. Her rumba was painful to watch, & while I respect her overcoming adversity and I think she's a sweet person, I really don't want her to take a spot in the finals from a more deserving dancer. ?

I feel a horrible combination of anger, nausea, disgust ... I was sputtering in disbelief when the episode I'd anticipated all week came to a crashing thud. But then to read that Nicole Beharie wanted out? I feel sick. What did this show do to her to make her so miserable that she wanted out? I thought I would be giddy to hear about a potential season 4, but now I just feel blah about it. I agree that Sophie is probably inheriting Abbie's soul - and what was up with that look she and Danny shot each other?! Is it possible Sophie is somehow a time-bending offspring of Abbie and Danny? I don't know why I'm even thinking this through! I don't care about Sophie! She was fine as a sidekick to Team Witness, but I don't want to see her as the main female lead, and certainly not playing off Crane. And why couldn't the show give us more than just Ichabod kissing Abbie's hand?!? What an unsatisfactory ending for these two! Even Crane talking to Abbie's headstone about things like his citizenship test felt ... hollow, no pun intended! I wanted him to show a little more emotion at the grave! Kiss the headstone, fall to the ground sobbing, SOMETHING that showed a little more anguish! I also feel terrible for Jenny that she lost Joe and Abbie in back-to-back weeks! What the heck?? I guess we're supposed to look forward to Jenny bonding with Ezra but ... I just can't. I don't even know how to describe it, but I just feel so empty, so CHEATED after watching this. So angry at you, FOX!

My husband actually told me to knock off the commentary while watching the show, because I spent so much of this episode yelling at the tv (again!). Like when Danny walks in and says, "Is now a good time to join the team?" and I'm shouting "NOOOOO!" *laugh* But it really bothered me that after the intimate opening season with Ichabbie and their breakfast treats, the show immediately switches to Danny talking about going to some lakehouse with Abbie and kissing her head and Abbie getting all whispery/breathy with him. Yuck, yuck, yuck! Go back to sexy Tom Mison relishing his maple bacon doughnut!! The scenes with Ichabbie on the boat were spellbinding. Something weird has been going on with Ichabod's hair the last few episodes, but when they were rowing the boat, facing each other, talking about losses and faith and certainty, he had such a rugged handsomeness with a smoldering affection, it was hard not to sigh. So many good moments with Ichabbie on this show (I love when she called him "Bobby Fischer"!!!), only to be ruined with bad, bad Betsy Ross. She could not have annoyed me more, especially when she shot Abbie the dirty look. I agree with the above posts hoping she disintegrates soon! Moments of foreshadowing this episode: *In the scene in the archives, Jenny says of THO, "He's a god. Trying to take him down with brute force is suicide. We need to focus on the hourglass." She was definitely focused on shooting the hourglass on the mountain, not on shooting THO. *When Ichabod says "She was a different person altogether," of Betsy Ross' return, you sensed they were going to reveal later that the "real" Betsy was lurking in that area somewhere. Things in the episode that were predictable: *That Betsy would reappear to Ichabod in present day *That Papa Mills would reveal he's known about the supernatural battle since before he left his girls *That Danny would admit he'd been spying on Abbie (I still think he's a bad guy!) *That, while looking at the "dead" insurgent on the shore, Ichabbie would see him "come back to life," albeit in zombie form Thing in the episode that caught me off-guard: *Joe's death, specifically at Jenny's hands I feel like there are so many other things in this episode that I wanted to comment on, but my thoughts are not well-organized at the moment. *sigh* Despite the way the writers keep jerking the fans around, I still hope SH gets renewed, but only if there's no more Ichabbie teasing. C'mon, there'd better be a kiss in the season finale, or I'm gonna start hitting the bottle! *laugh*

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/horror/new-promo-stills-for-sleepy-hollow-season-3-episode-17-delaware-a132628 Couldn't figure out how to post pictures, so I just copied the link, but the above website has stills from next week's episode. One of them shows the archives with Ichabbie, Joenny, Pandora, Danny, and Sophie all working together. Interesting summit. Wonder how many glares Ich will shoot Danny in that scene! LOL.

Exactly, vanardt1! (I have yet to figure out how to quote posts in my replies, but that's what I was trying to do above!) I spent all the Abbie/Danny scenes this episode yelling at my tv! When Abbie told Ichabod that she needed to be truthful with Danny to have a future with him, I shouted, "WHAT!!?!?" And then when Danny asked Abbie if he could kiss her, I screamed, "Nooooooooo!" even before he planted one on her. I hate the two of them together, I don't buy at all that Abbie has feelings for him, I think their chemistry is nonexistent ... I just want to throw rotten tomatoes at the writers! And why have so many moments where Ichabod says things like talking about not leaving things unsaid ... Only to have both characters share NOTHING!? Annoying. I agree with something the poster Cynic said about not wanting to endure Abbie mourning Danny if he dies or moping if he betrays her, although I think I'd rather have him betray her and her be angry. I still don't trust him, and think he might be using her. (ITA with everyone wondering where the "bad" FBI guy went. And why is Danny pulling out decanters of alcohol in his office during the workday!? Unprofessional doofus.) I agree that someone's going to get bumped off soon, but I think, judging from the previews, it could be next week. (Isn't there one more show after next week?). From Ichabod's comment about "Victory comes with a price," it seems a reflection upon death, but he doesn't seem choked up enough for it to be Abbie, Jenny, or even Joe. I think the writers brought Ezra Mills in for more than just a family reunion, but I don't know if it's to save his daughters, sacrifice for them, die for them ... Still don't have a feel for that. And off-topic, the pink taffy scene was sooooooo predictable! Bah. I've now watched this episode three times, and as much as I love the story-weaving about the flag, the Star-Spangled Banner, more hidden undergrounds, etc, it's tarnished by the confounding relationship developments or lack thereof. Lastly, thanks to everyone for the warm welcome on my first post last week! I love these message boards, and hope we find out soon that there's a fourth season on which to ruminate!

Omigosh, you beat me to the punch! I created an account because I wanted to post this theory! I thought if the writers KNEW this show was around for the long haul, rather than constantly waiting on pins and needles for renewal, they could "conjoin" (ahem) Abbie and Crane in a season finale, then come back in the next season premiere with Abbie pregnant with or giving birth to a "Superwitness" baby!!! Other thoughts from this episode: * I didn't buy that THO and Crane were suddenly working side-by-side peacefully after THO sought to destroy him. I struggled with what gave THO power, when his power ebbed, when he was weakened. It just seemed jarring to me. Even more so than Abbie working alongside Pandora. * I hated that such a compelling episode ended with a thud, in THO talking to Pandora about telling him the truth. Yawn. I don't get where their footing is with each other. To whom is Pandora lying, THO or the witnesses? * One thing that's gotten a little formulaic is the show introducing characters in the first minute or two that are about to get killed by the MOTW. As soon as I saw the band guys - with a camera rolling, at that! - I said to my family, "A new monster is about to destroy them. They do this all the time." The couple making out in the car is another recent example of this. It's not awful. Just predictable. * I, too, have grown to like agent Foster. I like her dynamic with Abbie. Loved the "Not it!" line. * Also loved Crane talking about eating his feelings, and his pastry obsession. And thank you to Halcyon Dsys for posting the screenshot of "mind blown."
