I have a lot of sympathy for anyone looking for a relationship today, especially women in NYC.

I've heard this! My sister has someone now, but she used to say she wanted to move to NYC just to date. Maybe it was the Sex & the City fantasy or something. Even though those girls dated a lot of train wrecks, their lives looked fun. I thought the same myself, but she said she thought she'd have better luck in a big city. I couldn't particularly relate to that.

I feel like everyone I know thinks their city is most difficult to date. My sister thinks dating must be easier in a place like LA or NYC, but she constantly worries about being pretty enough and is very insecure. How are you going to feel more confident dating in the land of Hollywood actresses and supermodels? Maybe NYC wouldn't be so terrible, but a midwest 10 is probably like an LA 7.

She supposedly met him via friends. He seems to be media and social media savvy. And I don't think he is attractive. Dolores is naturally beautiful regardless of plastic surgery, if anybody looks at old photos, and cameos from the first years of the show.

100% Dolores was blessed with beautiful bone structure and eyes. She is one of the prettiest women in the franchise imo.

Delores is in another relationship with a man that won't/cannot commit but atleast will show up at events...she likes the unavailable men that have built in excuses. She moved into her boyfriends house with no ring, does not want to get engaged until he is divorced, he has had fourteen years to get divorced and hasn't done yet. Last season it was said they were looking for a house together, something she should not do until he is divorced.

I wonder if Dolores has some avoidance issues of her own? With Frank, they were young and he has an issue being faithful. That happens all the time (sadly). But then the next two serious relationships that we know about, the men are also unable to commit to her for one reason or another. It's odd to have this pattern. Dolores is so beautiful and said to be a kind person by those in her life. You would think if anyone could get a good guy to commit, it would be her. Maybe committing scares Dolores too, so she unconsciously goes for men that she can keep at a distance as well? I don't know, but I wish her well.

My bestie paid for match.com. It was a terrible experience because guys she matched with we’re not looking for anything serious either.

The guy with disabilities has a lot of issues from a stroke. He is not even 45 and it affected him a lot. He lives with his mom and bad mouths her constantly which is even a bigger turn off.

I'm absolutely open to guys with disabilities, but I am leery of men who bad mouth their mothers. I get some mothers are horrible, but I've noticed that men who are very vocal about their terrible mothers (or allegedly terrible mothers) tend to not be very nice guys or respectful of women.

One of Louie's sisters is a doctor of optometry, the other an attorney. His brother is also a professional of some kind (I don't exactly remember), so they are a decent family, meaning nothing negative was heard about them. They seem to love him. As for being "fake" to Teresa, is it impossible that he might actually like her? She seems to take care of her family, including Joe Giudice who was not exactly the best husband, so I assume she does the same with Louie.

Thank you for the information. They sound like a solid, hardworking family who doesn't need Bravo cameras or money.

100% Teresa isn't my favorite Housewife, but I can see she has some wonderful qualities. She seems to adore her family and be loyal to a fault. The relationship she has with her daughters is very sweet. She loved her parents. She did her best with Juicy. The only family members she has issues with are her brother and SIL. I can absolutely see Luis genuinely liking her. She's attractive, fun, and has a big heart for those she cares about.

  5. I don't mind the topic of best age to have kids, but I don't like the "my age was best and everyone should follow suit" attitude some people have. There are pros and cons to being younger and older. We all have our own path. It isn't good to push everyone to have kids young. Some people have kids very young and love it and are some of the best parents, but many people are not ready young and may never want kids period. I also think advocating everyone have kids older is dangerous too. Some women are like Sara and easily have kids older, but that doesn't mean everyone can. Hollywood can give the impression a 45-year-old can have a baby as easily as a 25-year-old, but most of us do not have the funds for freezing eggs, IVF, surrogacy, etc.

Some of us have no serious interest in having kids when we're in our 20s, especially earlier 20s. I guess if I had to pick the ideal time, maybe 27-35, old enough that your brain is fully formed and you hopefully got to enjoy your youth but young enough so hopefully you're not worried about your fertility or a high risk pregnancy.

If I ever have kids, I will be an older mom. The sad part will be I will have less time with my kids should I be lucky enough to have any, but there are positives if I do. I think I would be much more grateful for them older than I would be younger. I think my patience and wisdom would make me a better parent than I would have been at 25. We'll see if it ever happens. I hope the fact I'm so healthy means I have several more years to have kids. I'm not someone who's going to jump through hoops though. If I can't have them naturally, I will be okay.

Oh wow! I definitely get my money's worth with Peacock even if they raise the price, but I might pay the annual fee before they do so.

I am debating on streaming services for Bridgerton and Mad Men. Just a bummer to get Netflix or AMC for only one show each, especially since I already pay for Peacock, Max, and Hulu. I read I can watch Mad Men on Pluto for free, but I'm not a fan of watching a dramatic show with ads. I don't mind it if it's something light on Hulu, but I like my dramas ad-free.

Same. And I would add no social media. My 11 year old granddaughter was discovered to have a Tik Tok account and she had taken some concerning pics. She swears she didn't do anything with pics but it's scary she took them.  She now has parental controls on her phone.  And did I mention she is 11.

Modern technology is amazing yet so dangerous. If I had kids, they’d hate me because I would be very strict with devices and social media. I know stuff happens even when parents are doing their best to monitor and protect.

Today's peeve:  I blame only myself.

I ordered two bags of Peet's coffee from Amazon, and I mistakenly ordered whole beans instead of ground.   Grr.

Since I own a grinder (not used in years), I'll suffer through the next few weeks of grinding instead of trying to return the order.

I’m sorry! I’ve done that shopping in the store too, easy mistake.

My pet peeve is the fact the only glyphosate-free instant oatmeal I can find in any store around me is sugary. I want a plain one! Oatmeal is so easy to add flavor to in a healthy way.

Did I see that next week, Nene thinks Claudia is jealous because she is married to Greg? I hate how this show makes it seem like married and single women are enemies.  I would rather be single then married to an Apollo or Peter (or Greg, for that matter, who I think cheated on his former wife to be with stripper Nene).

This probably goes back to the "I have a HUZZbin and you DON'T" mentality many people seem to have.  I'd rather be alone than to be with somebody like Apollo.

I'm with you both! I would rather be single than be with an Apollo, Joe Giudice, Tom Girardi, etc. So many husbands in the franchise are horrible people.

No, seems like half the old cast gave Slade a whirl.  Ok, maybe it was only 3 of them.

I don't feel that bad for Shannon.  She and Alexis weren't friends.  Based on what I have seen of John, I feel bad for Alexis.  HA!

I don't think Jo ever had to film with Slade in a relationship with another cast member, did she? IRC, Slade and Lauri had hooked up at some point, and then Gretchen joined the show when Jo was gone.

The closest to what Shannon will deal with that I could think of is Tom on RHONY. Sonja seemed to have feelings for him and was hurt that LuAnn was marrying him.

Shannon's situation is different from the above. No, there is no girl code expected with Alexis. I know they weren't friends, but it still has to hurt that a woman returns to the show with the man who say you've loved more than you've ever loved anyone.

Cats are living breathing lessons in  consent. Men who like cats are usually sweethearts. Confident but not arrogant.

lol This has been true for most of the guys I know who have cats! I haven't noticed any pattern with men who have dogs.

Sad that they cannot edit around that mess.

I cannot understand why Andy or anyone is enamored by Brandi that she keeps getting a Bravo HW gig...she is gross.

I know. I was really looking forward to the season. Maybe they'll film again with the same cast but replace Brandi? Brandi has crossed the line many times with multiple cast members. Enough is enough. Even if what she did to Caroline isn't as bad as we think, she is clearly a toxic person and not just someone who stirs it up for the show.

Shannon's a loon, but I don't blame her for being upset.  Though I'm interested to see how Alexis comes off in all of this - was she meanspirited?  I honestly just remember her being a bit dim and subservient to her idiot husband.  I'm just wondering if she'll be sympathetic to Shannon or if she's going to be more rub it in your face.

Is this the first time there will be a Housewife who has to deal with seeing her ex with someone else? I know this is a common theme on Vanderpump Rules, but not sure if I've seen it on a Housewives show. That has to sting. My heart goes out to Shannon.

I don't remember Alexis being meanspirited either, but I don't like that she's coming back under these circumstances. It feels mean towards Shannon.

Hopefully Alexis refers to him as John and not "John Jansen." It sounds so weird to me every time I hear Shannon refer to someone who's supposed to be close to her by his/her full name.

I don't think Sunny or Sara's fashion choices are usually bad; it's the makeup and hair that can be questionable at times. When I see criticisms of Sunny's style here, it's usually that she's too old for a look like that. You don't have to worry about things like that when styling someone like Alyssa. Even then, they sometimes miss the mark when it comes to her:

Wow! Alyssa is young, pretty, and has a nice figure. You practically have to try to make her look bad. Maybe that dress is cute in person?!

    This episode cinched 2 things:

Todd is the best HW husband on the show.And...

Apollo is not that pretty. I concluded the way people rave about him and act I expect young Shemar Moore or James Dean. His looks are all he has since he has no work ethic or brains and is nasty mean and those looks are just B/B +.

To each his own.  When I first saw Apollo, I definitely drooled. I think he's by far one of the best looking Housewife husbands. His face is cute, cute, cute, and his body is beautiful too.

I still think he was obviously a terrible idea for Phaedra. Phaedra is an attractive attorney, surely she could do better than some hot felon. And I wouldn't tolerate the most gorgeous man on earth ogling or touching other women the way Apollo did with Kenya. The two did make adorable babies.

Kenya wasn't innocent last season. I thought the body shaming stuff was gross, and while I believe she had no interest in Apollo, the flirting was inappropriate. I still thought the way she was treated was wrong, and Portia should never have put her hands on her.

I also get the impression despite Kenya's looks and flirty personality, that she is probably one of the more conservative women when it comes to sex. She seems like someone who prioritized her career, knew with her beauty she could always have someone, and didn't define herself by having a man anyway. There are many women in this franchise who seem to lose their minds being alone or get with man after man. Kenya gets flack for possibly not having real relationships, but I think it's refreshing she's so independent.

What surprised me was learning, by watching WWHL, how many legitimate, respected, talented individuals watch Bravo. Jon Hamm. Meryl Streep. Stephen Colbert. Jennifer Lawrence. Perhaps Martin Scorsese.

I think when enough of them mention that they watch, people such as Scheana believe they are stars.

    https://people.com/tv/celebrity-real-housewives-bravo-fans/

Oh I know there are a ton of huge stars who love Housewives! It makes me feel better about my Bravo addiction. But the average person who doesn't watch Bravo probably wouldn't know most of the people on the network. NonBravo watchers usually only know people like Denise Richards.
