  1. I forgot about this until I read the recap, but the funniest thing in the whole show was Lee pulling out her gun and shooting Agnes without putting her phone down.
  2. Gotta say I got a total "Evil Dead" vibe from this episode. (The original one.) Yeah, how would a woman with a deep hatchet wound like that be able to wield a crowbar with that much deadly force?
  3. Ah, that's why she seemed familiar!
  4. Oh my god, that was so FUCKED. UP. I was enjoying Kathy Bates chewing up the scenery and spitting it back out at us again, but then the Matt and Shelby thing totally had me gobsmacked. Like many others, I was instantly reliving the horror of Sunday's Walking Dead. And the real life Polk family was absolutely horrifying. I literally had to close my eyes as they were nearing Lee's leg, and I usually don't shy away. I was surprised as well that they offed Syd so early on, but I see the story potential in the housemates being totally stranded in non-civilization with no outside help to be had. What the hell is up with these people's obsession with filming everything with their phones?? I'm finding this to be really weird and disturbing. I would much rather be keeping my eyes on the surroundings and what might potentially be jumping out at me than focusing on the bloody phone six inches from my face. Is it bad to say that I wanted Audrey to die just so I wouldn't have to hear that abominable attempt at an accent again? The dialogue she was given didn't help either. Wouldn't mind the character at all if she only spoke in her native accent. I liked the real life Butcher, she looked creepy as hell, and oh man what a way for Agnes to go out. Does anybody know the actors who played the real life Butcher and Ma Polk?
  5. What I really liked at the tribal council was that David refused to be baited by Probst's sly questioning if there may be more than the seemingly cut and dried Gen-X vs Millennial, and convincingly pretended that the three Gen-X'rs were all on the same page. Now that's how you keep your mouth shut at tribal to avoid sudden disaster. I also liked Zeke's (whom I persist on calling Mr. Magnum PI in my mind every time I see him) well spoken appeal to the Gen-X'rs. He as well didn't give anything away.
  6. Best post of the night! I totally agree!
  7. 'kay, had to pause the show again to say that although I absolutely adore Sarah Paulson and think she deserves any and all accolades thrown her way, she does the most deplorable British accent I've ever heard in my life, hee hee.
  8. I haven't even watched a third of the way in, but I had to requote this: "Alcohol is the secret sauce of reality shows."
  9. Well, that was certainly interesting. First of all Michaela rules. I would be happy to see her win. And so awesome for David to find a second idol right away, ha ha. I bet no one else will be seriously thinking that would have happened. I was just about to jump off the couch and start screaming when he was talking about giving his idol to CC however... NOOO!!! Thank god he thought it through. I know he's a little weasel but I can't help but like the guy. More so than anyone else he is definitely on to Michelle, who certainly showed her snake-like colors in trying to get CC to vote out David - I can't fault her for this, however - I would have tried my best to break up the three original tribe members too. Very astute of her to realize she was beating a dead horse and would be better off to trust a potential new alliance, although now she's got David gunning for her. And I'm happy that Jessica and Ken made up, I actually do like them both. I hope they get on board with Adam to vote off the projectile-vomit inducing "FigTayls". (Uuurggh... feel like throwing up already...)
  10. Absolutely nothing other than Cheyenne Jackson as the behind the scenes tv producer walking around the set and saying to the cameraman "The camera never stops. No matter what anybody says, even if I tell you to stop, the camera keeps rolling, you got it?"
  11. My thanks to Madame Recapper for the GIF of Grudge Girl as I had absolutely no fucking idea what I was watching despite rewinds, it was so dark. (And for an awesome recap in general.) Is this perhaps one of the Chen daughters?
  12. Yeah, I was wondering the same thing myself. Just how exactly do you burn a ghost to death?
  13. THIS. As I was watching I was thinking to myself.. oh my god this a total rewind of the X-Files' "Home'. In which, of course, Ma Peacock was worshipped as an absolute ruler by all of her sons AND had a baby by one of them (horribly deformed of course... wait a minute I believe the father of the the baby was a son that she sired with her oldest son, so he would have been both her son and grandson... yaa it was really fucked up) when she appeared to be in at least her mid to late forties, so who's to say that she couldn't have been the mother of Chaz's offspring, who looked to be about 10 and 12 or so? I know Frances Conroy is in her sixties but perhaps her character is meant to still have been in childbearing age at the time the feral children were born. Also taking me back was seeing a limbless Elias as the hapless victim, whereas Ma Peacock was the limbless one. (Great episode of the X-Files BTW, a true horror gem that was famously never rebroadcast after it was initially aired.)
  14. What the FUCK was that monstrosity on Jason's back... I had the TV on pause for 5 minutes trying to figure it out. Hangings, intestines, Martha Stewart? Whatever. Didn't even look finished.
  15. Aah, I see what you are referring to now. Yes, that was obviously their plan from before, but it's interesting that it was left unshown whether they clued Julia into the switch in plan or not. I had just totally assumed that they had let Julia know of the change in plan to vote for Aubrey, until I rewatched the scene - this show can be very misleading at times. I don't believe she would have cared if it were Aubrey or Cydney. Even though she came up with the flush out Tai's idol plan, however, I notice the girls ( and I keep forgetting to add + Joe!!) didn't trust her as far as they could throw her, and the guys were obviously keeping her around only as long as she was useful. She thought she was such a master plotter that she would be safe, not realizing her "strategic" gameplay is about as subtle as a warhammer to the face.
  16. fishcakes, after reading this I had to go back and rewatch a bit - I didn't see anything where the oafish louts told Julia they were targeting Cydney - however, in the scene of the three of them talking they make no mention of Aubrey either, the scenes where they are talking about targeting Aubrey don't include Julia. They did make their Cydney hate pretty obvious - maybe they didn't let Julia in on the Aubrey plan? It's hard to tell. Michelle is like a jigsaw puzzle with a few too many pieces missing - don't know what's going on in her head at all.
  17. But, the guys would know that she voted Tai, which would sink her with them, even though she was merrily plotting his future demise with them. The plan was supposed to be Aubrey. The girls must have obviously noticed her frantic eye-bugging at Tai, so they would know something's up too. As if they didn't already - she was kept totally in the black about the Scot plan. I just don't know what the fuck she was thinking.
  18. Why exactly was Julia urging Tai to play his idol so aggressively? Was she hoping to get Aubrey out this way? She is very clumsy with the execution of her ideas. Edited to add: Or was she urging him to play the "super idol" - and again I'm as confused as some of the other posters as to how and when this super idol actually gets formed in order to play it.
  19. No, I was thinking she looked fabulous!
  20. Scot was one of the main instigators of his own downfall with his arrogance. Tai might have broken off with the guy's alliance because of the treatment he got when he went to them with news that he talked to Aubrey and she might be open to ideas. Even though she was clearly only thinking about Tai to ally with, the way he brought up the conversation he made it sound like she might be open to working with all of them. BUT, barely before he even finishes speaking, Scot immediately is "HOW ABOUT THIS IDEA" (Aubrey) and shuts him down totally in such an overhanded way by not even deigning to listen to him. It was truly insufferable to watch. Go Tai.
  21. Ohmygodz, that was just too beautiful for words. I was yelling at that smug fuck Jason even before the main credits aired because of his bragging that their "psychological warfare" caused the women to turn on one of their own, rather than dissension in their ranks thanks to the duplicitous Julia. And then Scot and his patronizing little "soft threat" to Aubrey. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with a tribal outcome. Aubrey kicked all sorts of ass tonight. She was awesome in those challenges! And her strategizing seemed to be sound, she got the outcome she wanted and was wise not to trust Julia. And I love her comments! I was laughing at her comparison to a spitting llama at the challenge. I want her to win. Speaking of Julia, I can't wait for her to go down as well. She proved to be just as smug and callous as the Neanderthal Twins, and even though she was only provisionally in their guy alliance, she was ready to torpedo Tai right away, and brought this right up to the guys, thinking she had the girls convinced on this. The guys were absolutely disgusting describing the way they would slit Tai's throat (figuratively) at the right moment. She obviously thought she was in the catbird's seat, but now I think she's doomed. Interesting that Michelle and Julia voted together for Tai, both being out of the Scot vote loop. Do Aubrey and Joe not trust Michelle either, or was Michelle wanting to bind her trust to Julia? There seems to be a lot of missing pieces of information regarding Michelle, she certainly seems like she's been doing absolutely nothing so far. Joe... where are you Joe... are you even on this show?
  22. According to a couple of other boards, CBS has officially banned Jason from tweeting anything Survivor-related. He will be in big trouble if he doesn't comply.
  23. http://my.xfinity.com/blogs/tv/2016/04/14/survivor-castaway-debbie-aubry-was-hyper-paranoid-and-neurotic/ Here's more of the Holmes interview with Debbie. Of interest is that she had planned to take Aubrey and Tai to the end, and she LOATHES Jason. Also, she claims Neal told them about the Super Idol before he left.
