  1. omg those poor kids, brainwashed beyond belief!  On top of that, why do the boys have desks and the girls lap desks or the corner of the coffee table?  They so don't have communication skills taught, that is for sure.  How unfortunate for them to have such dimwits as parents! They show Jill reading to the 3 little girls and 2 of the 3 little ones have dangling earrings! how mental is this woman???? It is 10:30 at night, I need to stop watching because I am ranting about random things! Oh, maybe that is listening to them is dumbing me down, oh dear me!

  2. I watched/listened with my 3 kids being ratbags, anyway, I thought the TH's were a little more open (as in JB wasn't putting words into everyone's mouths in the back ground).  However, the biggest thing I noticed was Derek said they had decided to come down to CA early in their married life, because later on, the kids would be in SCHOOL and they didn't want to interrupt friendships!  WOW!  I hope their kids go to school!  They will at least have the opportunity for a decent education and the chance to have real friends!

(This was written with me just reading the posts on page 4, needed to post while it was still in my mind - because it will evaporate for numerous reasons - and I don't know when I will next get back to check out posts in the next couple of days :) )

  3. OMG, if someone was playing a ukelele on a plane and I was on it, I would want to drop it on their head, hard!

The lack of new footage was astounding!

  4. Earlier, someone asked if Josie had tooth decay.  As a mum of 2 micro prems (babies under 1500g  (sorry I have no idea about what that is in lbs and ozs)) tooth decay is frequent due to the underdevelopment of enamel on the tooth, which doesn't finish forming until after 33 weeks gestation.  My 31-weeker has poor enamel, luckily for her it is mild, but her little 25-weeker friend had crumbling teeth.  Fortunately for most, once they lose their baby teeth, the adult teeth aren't as affected, if at all.

  5. I "watched " this episode while doing some hand sewing for markets I am off to tomorrow, and I have to ask, did they actually show Jill and Derrick?  I was listening to the content more than watching and must have missed it!  It really was a bit of a snore-fest.  I did stop and watch a bit, the parts with Sierra and Joy, they seemed to be genuinely having fun and thought the part when they went to the wrong house was funny, but felt sad for Jenny and thought it was priceless that she stopped and looked at photos and ultimately knew her glasses were in the the footstool of the piano.  If she doesn't want to wear them, her parents should be finding out why, not her siblings, aunt and cousins searching for them and making a game of it.

Having watched 2 episodes of Bringing up Bates before watching this episode, I found the majority of the TH's and even the whole thing as boring as bat poo.  It all sounded so written and even more repetitive and boring!

Oh yeah, thought it was hilarious that Sierra got to know them because they had an industrial kitchen she could use and would clean afterwards....only times it gets used and cleaned....

  6. Having only gotten to watch this yesterday, the one thing that screamed at me was Bin didn't know how to put Spurgeon in the car! Did they not have a lock in thingy for his carrier?  "Which side will I put him?" OMG! Dumbass idiot!  Surely they had some type of restraint for the carrier/capsule in the car?  Are they that stupid?  Is it not mandatory there like it is here?

I noticed Anna had one for Meredith though.

  7. I don't know if they would be permitted Jane Austen, no way would JB and M want to explain Lydia's eloping with Wickham in Pride and Prejudice, not sure about the other JA books, Emma would be ok, I think.  It is so long since I have read the others.

ETA: Emma probably not either, she is strong minded and an independent thinker

  8. Sorry if this has been posted, I didn't scroll,

    From Duggar Family Official:

Jessa's favorite Bible verse is Acts 4:13:
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus."

No one in their sane mind should take knowledge from the Duggars....and yet many do.

  9. Sew Sumi, Yep, I meant that conference.  I just meant the questions with the boards and how Ben and Jessa both wrote their answers on them, that is how the Gil and Kelly Bates answered fan questions. (Sorry for not being more specific, newbie here)

  10. I am watching this now on youtube, why does Derick go to school for language immersion and Jill stays at home for her lessons?  Why aren't they doing it together?

Ben comes across as a complete ignoramus.  He is a space cadet who has no clue about what is going on around him half the time.  To me, Jessa is just fake.  I also find she adds more of a twang to her voice and becomes more monotone when she forcing it.

I am finding the camera angles on the personal interviews off (bare in mind the youtube feed is fully reversed, but I don't think that is the cause), especially on Anna. She looked so different in Sierra's kitchen when they talked to her compared to the one on one interviews.

The speaking engagement...are they trying to copy the Bringing up Bates show?
