A very dark episode, easily the grimmest since poor Phil II passed away. I would hate to see Mike kick the bucket but being a guest star does seem to be bad for your health on TLMOE. Very touching the way Tandy stood by his bro, the reactions of some of the others was quite depressing although considering the circumstances perfectly understandable. I can not wait to see the cliff hanger.

A really good episode I thought, one of the best. Phil/Tandy/Skidmark may be an irritating oaf sometimes but he is our irritating oaf. Mike was within his rights to prank him, he had been treated pretty badly by his big brother after all. I can not wait for the prank war. As for romantic sub plots, the way is surely clear now for Mike and Erica to hook up, the late Phil II would no doubt approve.

Another really good episode, the choice of music for the show is spot on, Tandy seeing Mike in the distance was quite moving and I think you would recognise your brother from a very long way off, quite apt that he hit him in the `groin`, typical Tandy. I can not wait to see how Mike fits into the group, he is bound to attract some female interest and that could (hopefully!) annoy the other men. Todd`s free love idea is dead in the water now all right.

I think it is entirely feasible that Tandy would take over the funeral, the others are quite lazy and probably worn down by his manic behaviour. As for calling him Tandy even after the new Phil`s demise, that is quite likely what people in that situation would do. Highlights include Tandy discovering Phil Two`s middle name and Todd referring to Gail as `Bub` and shouting out his appreciation for her supposedly telling him he should wear hats. Melissa is starting to unravel, maybe another male character (Mike?) could shake her up and maybe cause Todd to get jealous again? I note the show is not on next week, bummer.

At last, it`s back. I have to say I was itching to see the old crew, really nice to see Mike make it back to earth and all that but I need my fix of Tandy and co. It would be great if Mike meets up with the rest of them, probably best if Pat stays away, he is definitely unhinged, although the comedic value would be interesting. The show never fails to surprise, looking forward to a nice uninterrupted run. I am watching it on Dave in Ireland so I don`t get the Fox trailers at the end.

Wow. What a roller coaster of an episode, emotional doesn`t do it justice. I am hoping the machine is faulty as I would like to see new Phil survive, but as Charlesman has already said his part has been played by a `guest star` and that means it could be the end for him, unfortunately, just as his character was starting to get back in with the rest of the group. The scene with Gordon`s body was hilarious, Todd and Tandy work so well together. What about Todd`s dancing, who knew eh? Why is it off for a month? Bummer. I love this show.

I think it is a nice touch to have the show `up to date`, with Christmas approaching. I don`t really think too much about the logic of the situation, I can fully understand why some people would question certain aspects but I just go with the flow. When Melissa gave Todd his prom present I was half expecting her to produce a pig, remembering the story he told her in season one and also because she is still angry at his bacon antics. Tandy stepping out from the tree was hilarious as was his song, it is nice that the group are starting to get along, it will be interesting to see whether Todd goes back to Melissa and consigns poor Gail to more fun time with her broken Gordon dummy. Please bring poor Mike back to earth, maybe a Christmas Day star in the east type arrival?

Brilliant scene at the end, with new Phil finally in the stocks. Tandy should stand well back when he`s released though.

I knew January Jones had been in Mad Men, obviously, but watching the very first episode of that show I spotted our very own Carol, aka Kristen Schaal playing the part of a telephone operator.

I love this show more and more with each new episode, it is that good. Phil (Tandy?) and Todd getting back together again is a great move, Gail with the dummy of Gordon is hilarious as is her drinking, Erica`s character is developing a bit more and the big news at the end has really shook the place up. New Phil`s acts of violence are rather unsettling and shocking while Todd`s demands for him to be put in the stocks were hilarious. There is an element of survival of the fittest as there is absolutely no way the rest of the group could force Phil 2 into accepting his punishment. Carol`s list of `cons` about having a baby were hilarious, no cheese and sex with older people being the stand outs.

Another brilliant episode, it was great to see Tandy lord it over Todd, I just knew his secret had to be food related, I also thought Tandy going along with the secret bacon feast was so true to character. The drunk Gail was hilarious, there is a lot of comedic potential there, Erica confronting the new Phil was good too, I personally don`t get too hung up on the logic of the whole end of the world thing, I just accept that the world only has a handful of people living in it and enjoy the interaction among the group. I am glad to see Tandy and Todd bonding, they have so much more in common with each other than either of them have with the new Phil. This is easily my favourite show and I can`t wait to see how things develop next week.

I can`t wait for the next episode, to see what Todd is up to. His character development has been fascinating, he has gone from being the nicest person in the World to the nastiest, his loathing for Phil/Tandy is astonishing. Admittedly he DID consider leaving him stranded in the desert. I think Todd`s secret is food related and it will be interesting to see whether or not the rest of them turn on him and treat him as badly as they have been treating our hero.

What a brilliant episode, this show just keeps getting better and better. I agree it was a little uncomfortable in parts seeing Tandy being treated badly but he did bring a lot of it on himself and he does want to show the group how much he has changed. The whole Todd thing is intriguing and I agree with one of my fellow posters, he does seem to have gotten bigger. I know Tandy was going to leave him in the desert but his reaction to our hero`s return was a little too hostile, seeing as he had started to obsess over Melissa and new Phil you would have thought he would be glad to have someone to talk to, although we don`t know how close he had gotten to Gordon. I also sense a great malign presence at the heart of the new Phil, not a bully as such but rather someone who could snap at any time.

I have read as many reviews of TLMOE as I can find, it amazes me that there are those who prefer just Phil and Carol and would rather do without the others. The interaction between and amongst the other characters is what makes it such a brilliant show. Gail and Erica now both hate Carol, Todd has not forgiven Phil/Tandy, new Phil has just the right hint of menace beneath the surface to make me think he just MIGHT try and kill our hero, and as for the name Tandy, that is just perfect. I hope the Tuscon crew (they will always be the Tuscon crew to me) stay around forever.

I loved the episode from start to finish, Carol`s drawings depicting Phil/Tandy meeting his end at the Grand Canyon were priceless and her `Viewer discretion advised` was comedy gold. I am glad to see the Tuscon/Malibu crew, I think they are all very important pieces of the whole story, I hope they all stay together and I hope Phil/Tamdy annoys the hell out of them. Despite some evidence to suggest he is a changed man (going around looking for Carol when he inadvertently left her behind and taking her back to Tuscon are things he would NEVER have done in the first season) his clumsy attempt to flirt with Melissa at the end of the episode would make me think he`s still the same really and for that I am grateful.
