(Sigh).  I'll admit I was absolutely gleeful when I saw this was coming back - they were saying for awhile they were having couples participate.  (Ya think?).  But I miss the real Danielle.  That was some of the funniest TV I ever saw in my life!  I talked about that non-stop, I even had pics of her on my phone, like family.  (A head shot of her doing a TH looking at the camera right through the top rim of her triple lens glasses, and one when she tried on a wedding dress).  That season was hilarious.  And yes, thank you Sweet Baby Jebus for answering my prayers.  (And don't think I'm not grateful, but I never did get that pony...)

Real Dani will be back....and its going to be a damn mess!

  2. Its one thing to not remember having said something, its another to vehemently deny you ever said it when someone else says you did.

Not all insults are created equal.  There is a difference between calling someone a douchebag or a tool and calling them a slut, or using a racist insult.

There isn't a history of douchebag shaming, but there is a very real history of slut shaming women....especially women who are single mothers.

If you simply forgot you said something and someone said you did, you can say "I don't remember that" or "huh, when did I say that" not "I never, ever, ever said that."

But its to Frank's credit that he has become a victim to so many people who "aren't Frank fans" and "hate Frank, but...."  I wonder how long until someone blames Day for Frank slapping her ass and I wonder what the justification will be when that happens.

Also -- if people dislike Tiffany, that is on her, she had an opportunity to come clean with who she was and control the narrative.  She did not.  She then proceeded to put on hoodies, sunglasses, act weird, and do everything to draw out Vanessa comparisons.  I also think that some of her tears have been used strategically, but that's just me.

I just don't see anything worthwhile in Victor returning. He's a piss poor player and he'll likely just do whatever whichever man has the most power tells him to do.

Jozea is fun because of his delusions, but he has no chance of making any kind of moves game-wise so boring.

Glenn returning would be kinda fun for a minute because everyone would be like, "Who are you again?" but the novelty would wear off real quick.

Day/Tiff returning is why they do buy back in the first place: the drama of a big house target coming back in.

I think Glenn returning might be interesting, and I think I might prefer it over Tiffany coming back if she is evicted.

We never got to see how Glenn played anything.  What little we saw was him being observant and right and being ignored by the rest of his team.  He also seemed like a student of the game, so he may have some ideas/observations of what he wants to do and who he wants to play with, and he may be more strategic in his approach.

Because he didn't form a ton of friendships, he would be a floater that both sides would have a shot at.  I think he could end up being a number for the non-showmance side of the house.  He would be unlikely, IMO, to simply align with his former teammates since they basically ignored him and ignoring him was part of the reason he went home so early.

I think Jozea could be interesting too -- I think he would work with Day again, and he only needs a taste of HOH before he goes absolutely full on batshit crazy. The house meetings alone would be priceless.

But, I want Day to stay in, or if she is evicted to win battleback.

Thanks, RCharter,  for my first laugh of the day!

I wanted to like Twitney ,  but I so don't care anymore. She' s got a horrible personality.

I have read on this site that she has a pear shape, but it seems like her stomach has caught up to be an  apple shape now. Not that Whit would be familiar with fresh fruit. And fat around the waist is not a good sign for heart disease-- in addition to the million other factors, mentioned on these posts, that her size is hurting her health and disabling her.

ha!  at this point Whitney is positively blueberry-esque!

  5. So...here is my thought on Lennie.  He is lying to her.  That entire bit about the friend up the street, and the truck and blah blah blah.....sounded like total BS.

I don't particularly think he is cheating on her.....but, I think that Whitney is the type of person for whom "communication" is code for "whining at"

She likely calls Lennie and the calls are so boring, abhorrent and full of her self absorbed whining that he can't handle it.  I imagine its a lot of "here are the 10 ways I was a victim today!"  Therefore, he ignores a lot of her calls, or doesn't call her back right away.  People like Whitney can just be exhausting.

You know you can't tell Whitney shit, and so he knows he can't tell her that he doesn't always want to hear her whining.  For her, of course, its all his fault and a simple fix of him "communicating" more and "always calling her back" and "always thinking about her."  And I don't think he knows how to tell her that he doesn't want/need to talk to her 24 hours a day.

I suspect he was out having fun and didn't want to be bothered (because you really think Whitney is the type where you can just say "oh, hey I'm with the guys, I gotta go?"), or maybe his friend borrowed his truck and he was with his roommates having fun and didn't want to be bothered.

  6. Wow, maybe can get some cheese with that whine she is giving her trainer.  Its all so very manipulative......"oh, I can't give you a diagnosis?  I'm acting shady? How dare you call me out on my shadiness, you're stressing me out, now I have to go cry!  Oh, whats that, this crying session has conveniently eaten up half of my workout time?  Awesome!"

And I bet you a million bucks that Whitney will end up one of those people who is like "well, I workout for an hour a day with a personal trainer, and I'm not losing any weight.....PCOS!!!!"  Never mind that she likely spends half the session complaining, and the other half of the session half assing her workout.

ETA:  I would have loved it if the trainer had asked Whitney if they could call the chiro together to get her diagnosis code.  No HIPPAA violation if she agrees to discuss her condition with the trainer on the phone, and he needs to know it so he can know what exercises she can do.

BTW, I used the term "freak show" to express my disgust at TLC and how they are advertising their personalities in such a seemingly degrading and humiliating way. Not throwing hate at any personality.

I haven't seen the Jazz show, but I can't believe two people that let their underage child be the subject of a TLC show.  Yeah, there will be a season or two of uplifting and sweet stories, but how quickly it can all turn exploitative and ugly......

She got fired from her radio job and banned from all LA Fitness gyms. Let's hope she also gets sued by this woman.

I hope she sues her too.  Can  you even imagine the horror of someone taking a picture and shaming you while you're at your most vulnerable?  How is that even funny to anyone but the biggest assholes in the world.  Its just disgusting.

This is the reason a lot of larger people don't work out. And regular folks for that matter. While by and large most people are focused on their own work outs there's the occasional ass hole who wants to make fun of somebody who isn't as perfect as the asshole thinks they should be.

I'm absolutely disgusted by that aspect of it.  For one, the woman was clearly not overweight, she was just older and didn't have a perfect body.  In 30 years, this bitch will be lucky to have the same body.  Second, this woman was in the SHOWER AREA!  In what world is it okay to take a picture of someone in a shower area of the gym?!???  I mean, she wasn't even just in the locker room, but she was clearly in the area where you take a shower.  How is that okay?  And even if this woman was overweight, is she not allowed to take a shower at the gym?  Is she not allowed to be there?  Is the gym only for playboy models?

I just find the entire thing rageworthy.  I hope she continues to get ripped apart for it.

I think Mama Dee should consider doing song parodies. She is entertaining and her only competition is Weird Al Yankowich. This would probably at least generate income as opposed to any other murzical venture on this franchise

I would start with Justin Timberlakes…Sexy Back…Picture the song I wrote the first verse for Mama Dee…

I think I broke my Back

    Ow!

    I really felt it crack.

    Ow!

Bengay’s special don’t give me flack

So turn around and put it on my back

    Ow!

Real talk.  Thats better than 95% of the music these "hip hop" stars put out.

Its about 200% better than "hot fire out my azzzzzzz"

But I really need to see Momma Dee's version of "Stanky Leg,"  or "Gramma Shuffle" because I need to see the video footage.

Yes yes and yes. I can teach group classes (strength/boot camp, and basic cycling/spin...not yoga or Zumba) as a certified personal trainer but there are relatively easy to get certs for just group ex. Very few gyms will hire someone without one, as it's a huge liability. Same with CPR/First Aid, and I agree that no way Whitney is in shape to do it.

Yeah, I would think the liability aspect would be important for the gym.  The lady who leads my step aerobics class has to go through an entire spiel every single class.....and TBH, I think she has to execute the steps perfectly, because people are already going to get lost and confused even when the steps are modelled perfectly for them.  We would probably all run into each other if the person wasn't trained/steps done properly.

Yes, she is. I don't blame her, I think Roy is pretty cute. Of course, if she were so in love with Lennie she wouldn't be interested in Roy. But it's clear that Whitney is not in love with Lennie, she just wants to have a boyfriend. Almost any boyfriend will do, even one who is clearly not very interested in her.

I think they tried to do that last season. They showed Whitney seeing a nutritionist, working out with a trainer, and choosing a salad rather than pasta when she went out to eat. The problem is Whitney didn't follow through with any of those things and has only gotten heavier and more disabled so they couldn't go down that story line road again this season.

Not just no Whitney shaming, but no calling Whitney out on her dysfunctional, addictive behaviors.

I think Whitney's goal is "Whitney worship" but thats a few more seasons down the road.

She is interested in Roy, and of course she assumes that because SHE is interested in Roy that HE is interested in her and must want to touch her everywhere even though he really doesn't.

But I do think that she singled out Roy because he is bigger and she thinks she might have a chance with him.  And I think the other dude was wearing a wedding ring so.....

I guess it's safe to assume that Dani Mathers isn't going to become a spokesperson for NBS anytime soon.

Shame on her, by the way.

Wow, that is most certainly illegal and I hope the woman sues her.  She didn't "accidentally" post a damn thing.  And even if she did (she didn't) in what universe should she be taking pictures of other naked people at the gym?  Bitch, focus on working out and not on others!

FInally read the New Yorker article.  Oy...how very unlikeable SGS is.  Her whole schtick is how she felt so bad about the things she did on the Bachelor and this show is basically her savvy retort.  But it actually doesn't seem like she learned much from that.  She sounds entitled, poser-y, and so terribly insufferable.  Ouch.  It actually makes me like the show less because I root for Rachel to become the person she thinks she is on the inside.  Knowing Rachel was modeled after SGS...it now ruins the show a bit for me.

I know I should relax and enjoy the show for what it is but I've rarely had such a visceral reaction to this kind of interview.  She just really seems to lack self awareness.  Yikes.

It just makes me worry where they are going to take Rachel from here.  If SGS is going to basically turn her into the unlikable one dimensional mean girl that she appears to be, Rachel doesn't even work as a lovable anti hero.  If Noxon was the one that was responsible for making Rachel a little more likable, than I hope she takes a bigger role next season, because I don't really like Rachel right now.  The only time I like Rachel these days is because I hate someone even more...like Jeremy

  15. I will take Adam anyway I can get him, and for some reason after years of only lusting after clean cut men, I've come to discover that on some men, shoulder length hair can work.

Right now, Darius is dead to me, but I was actually feeling for him as a character.  I have a cousin who looks a lot like him, and has a similar personality so that may be why.

Hello, all. New to the MBFFL forum but found this site a few months ago and love it! Long-time TV addict here. One thing I noticed - The Fuller Woman Expo is in Toronto. How does one fit in a plane seat at 400 pounds?

Yeah, at 400 pounds you must buy 2 seats.  On some airlines, I bet its an entire row.

That is positively nonsensical, and perhaps the most bizarre interpretation of a contractual obligation I've ever seen attempted.

Can you specify exactly which provision of the contract Da' would herself be violating? Refusing to be subject to, as you say, "non-consensual sexual contact, physical violence or intimidation" (which you admit is specifically contractually forbidden) is not, itself, conceivably a violation of HER contractual obligations.  If absolutely nothing else, she has absolutely no obligation, contractual or otherwise, to stay in that workplace if she finds it unacceptable.  She may face penalties, she may face a prohibition on working during the time the show airs, but she cannot be physically forced to endure this assault and battery.

Furthermore, the contract is executed and performed in California, and as such will most likely be subject to the application of California law, which has a long-established, heavily weighted public policy in favor of protecting employees from draconian contracts, as well as shielding victims from the sexually exploitative advances of co-workers.  The "she should know what she's signing up for" argument (particularly for someone who only spent barely two weeks in the house last time) is noxiously close to "she shouldn't have walked down that street" because she "should have known rapists abound."

Finally, CBS has had absolutely NO problem expelling contestants of this franchise for unacceptable behavior before, and as such has established a precedent of protecting its employees from battery (toothbrush in the toilet, anyone?).  I would argue Da' was entitled to rely on CBS's precedent of protecting its employees from crimes and torts committed by other contestants, particularly once she had expressed her disgust.

OK, now really finally, although we know CBS is mostly staffed by morons, they're extra moronic if they are choosing the publicity that comes with the "CBS didn't protect me from sexual harassment" (which someday WILL turn into a rape claim on some TV show somewhere) over "CBS expelled these horrendous human beings for being horrendous human beings."  The perpetrators of the battery on Marcel on Bravo were expelled, and at least one was extremely  popular, and Marcel was . . . not, necessarily.  Bravo milked the good publicity from that Top Chef moment for dayyyys, and CBS would be wise to do the same.  Yes, I know I'm expecting too much from these monkeys.

But, if you have the Big Brother contract I'd be happy to see the contract provision you think Da' would be violating by refusing to be the victim of a crime.  I only have the Survivor contract, and that is a whole other ball of inapplicable wax.

I would even go further and say that such a contract -- one where show producers get to interpret what "crossing the line" is instead of the court system would be deemed counter to public policy and either void/voidable.

Civilly there are ways to write a contract to get out of liability for what happens between contestants -- but I don't know that any of those are airtight per se.

The rape claim already happened on The Challenge (MTV)....and the details are.....just disgusting.

I hate what they are doing to Tiffany. Shunning her and lying to her face to blindside evict her when she's in their alliance. Funny how they can fake it to Frank and hang out with someone they claim to hate but leave a room when Tiffany is there. I wish they'd just tell her before live show at least, such a scared cast.

I'm guessing there is a case of conscience with Tiffany, but people are happy to stick it to Frank knowing that they will get him out soon.  Or at least thats what I'm hoping.

In other news, I think Day was okay to go after Tiffany given her behavior when she was the RK nominee and how willing she was to deep six the entire plan due to her distrust.  To me, that made sense.  Whether or not Day was planting seeds in a wait and see mode regarding Tiff makes sense to me too.  I think if Tiffany hadn't flipped out, Day may have just let it go because Tiffany would have earned some level of trust.  But, instead, Tiffany's behavior watered the seeds that Day planted.

It seems like Day and Tiffany spoke after that, and this week she has been relatively subdued even though she has been put up for eviction. And it makes sense for Day to keep her to get rid of Frank -- so in that vein it sort of makes sense for Day to try to keep her now.

I think Day's best move would be to try to get rid of Bronte.  Right now the Spy Girls are a thing, but to me, Bridgette and Natalie are on opposite sides, and Bronte is the glue holding them all together.   If Bronte goes, than Bridgette goes to Frank, and Natalie goes with James and whomever he is aligned with.

TPTB like "most hated" or anything else that gets viewers stirred up, whether on boards like this, or TV watchers.  Conflict = "good TV".  I'd bet that's why Frank was (assuming they stopped him) allowed to go on hitting women on the butt, and why he's still allowed to spew whatever crap comes out of his mouth.  It polarizes folks, and makes for "good TV".  Playing nice is boring.

It does, but it has its limits.  I couldn't watch season 15 after a particular point.  The level of assholery was past the point of entertainment.

Frank continuing to hang out is getting too close to season 15 for me.
