Well, with the podcast I had posted, I think agree that the series is supposed to be major satire. With things like horror movie cliches, Mean Girls, Heathers, Pop Culture and other things. It's not meant to be taken seriously, with that said, the girl on the podcast(can't remember her name) said that the sorority sisters live in a manipulative system of sisterhood but also like debutants in the 60's. There's a code that hasn't really since. It's super exclusive, which is why it's popular, because there's a criteria. If anyone can get, then what would make you so special for even getting in? I think even the guy on the podcast mentioned the racism in certain sororties, like the one that went viral with the non-diverse pledges. It's a play on what's life, but it's amped up.
