    Jill may treat her better but I think that home is still a very stressful place. I do not begrudge a child something that comforts them.

    I am 66 years old and have had many cats and dogs in my life ( right now I have a parakeet because I do not have the money to take care of them and cannot go through the emotional pain of losing another pet) and have had many licks ( kisses) from them and the only thing I have gotten from them is love. I used to give my dogs a small plate of human food for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I never worried about it because the dishwasher would clean and sanitize the dishes. This is not to say the people whom the thought of this gives them the shudders are wrong. We are all allowed our own feelings.

    It would not bother me if a pet eats off a plate. I am assuming the clean the plate either by hand washing or using a dishwasher. If they do not wash their dishes I do not want to eat anything at their house. As someone said earlier I would be more concerned for yhe pets nutritional needs. Yes, I do consider my pets " my children ".

    Yes, especially the Dead Files. I stopped watching that when what's her face ( cannot remember her name to save my live) was at the Lizzy Borden house and said Lizzy and her sister were intimate with each other. And as you said the home owners were always in danger of losing their lives or their sanity usually from native American ghosts.

    I want to make sure I am understanding this,  Cheapskate  kept track of the money spent on Jill after she reached adulthood and then submitted that amount to the IRS as her income? Is thst legal? What chaps my hide is HE KEPT TRACK OF WHAT JILL, HIS DAUGHTER,ATE AT HIS TABLE and reported that as INCOME???? I have no words...just...no words. I do want to know if this is legal if any one knows..and if it is legal I do not think it is moral unless there was an agreement between Jill and Cheapskate.

    if you get a pair of frames on clearance and Google a code for a discount on lenses, you can get a great deal. I paid $18 for these and I’m a -6.5. Pinky swear.

    I also was very nearsighted and never could get cheap glasses. My vision was 20/2000.I did not trust mail-order because my vision was so bad. When the optical stores would have sales I would go in and my perception was aways to strong to meet the requirements. I had one place tell me the lenses alone would be over 300.00 and that was mid 1990. One good thing about getting old is the eventually you will need cataract surgery  and that takes care of the problem. The cataract surgery is the easiest procedure I have had.

    The food is on a cutting board not directly on the table at least as far as I can tell on my phone. Anything on the table seems to be in bags.

    We have a feels like temperature of 103. By afternoon they expect it to be worse. My thermostat is set at 80. I am praying for an early winter.

    I am.sure they are doing the as much as they can. Hopefully they get it fixed soon. I have a game I play ,( June's Journey) where you need to watch ads.

    I would like to complain about the excessive ads on Primetimer.  I just counted 9 ads on one page.  On another page there was an ad after every post. Do I go to bugs and if so how to I get there? Thanks

    The guy at Kroger got in a car which hopefully has AC. The guy riding his bike in our parking lot I am going to keep an eye on. I can *almost * understand about the shorts and flip flops. If they just go from house to car and car to store they are not out in the cold that long especially since a lot of men run hot ( not looks , body temperature) so the may not feel the cold as much. I do agree with you though some people make interesting choices.

    Can someone please help this COL out.  Why are young men wearing winter clothes in the summer. Yesterday I had a young man ( 17 or 18) come in the store. I started to greet him and he stopped me and said he just needed some air. He rides his bike back and forth in front of the store do not someone I have not seen before. He had on a black sweat suit jacket on zipped up and black jeans on. Yesterday the heat index was over one hundred so yes, you probably did need some air. Today I was coming out of Kroger and saw another young man with a tan sweat sweat suit on jacket zipped all the way up and the sweat suit pants on also. Heat index was around 107. I don't understand.

    Ok, Primetimer blanked out the word because it was offensive...fair enough..it is a word for someone who comes from Mexico.  I want the story to make sense. Hopefully the explanation is not offensive that is not my intention.

    I am not sure that it is common to the fundy belief system. I went to a fundy church and none of the women would have tolerated that. The teaching was that yes a woman submits her husband but a man also should put his needs aside and submit to his wife ( this is in the bedroom) so if she wants sex and he has a headache well so sad to bad baby we are doing it tonight. To me it sounds like something someone ( not you lookeyloo) made up. Anyway I thought the consensus was that none of the Duggar men knew enough to satisfy their wives. I will be honest I have no idea why this bothers me so much so I apologize if am  defending them to much.

    How would anyone know this? I don't see them talking about their sex life in public at lest not this specific.  There is a very good chance I am wrong bit it seems very odd.
