The Naples leg filmed on 6/5 as it assuming to be a NEL, the Strasbourg leg filmed on 6/8, both from 2024. Leg 7 was originally to be a KOR but the last-minute change when Nick & Mike struggled more than six hours in the other Detour and could not give up, and thus became an elimination leg. This reminded me of Brett & Kinaryosih in TAR Asia 3 due to not completed the Detour.

Filming of the 49th cycle will begin shortly by this weekend or early next week.

CTS poster Valamorghulis posted on a latest thread: As for the first Romanian leg, Jag & Jas had a Salvage Pass being obtained from one of the tasks, they used the power to save Natalie & Stephanie from elimination. So, Natalie & Stephanie got eliminated in the second Romanian leg, as Joseph & Adam placed sixth on that leg (second to last) ahead of them.

The Salvage Pass could be used in two ways: the team who would claim it might have to use a headstart either 30-minutes or 1-hour ahead of the teams' initial departure time at the following leg or save the last team to arrive on a certain elimination leg similar to The Save in season 25.

As it has said before, there will be a format of 12 legs running in season 38, it has used since season 14 (except season 33). With the finale (Leg 12) to be filmed by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Athens was actually Leg 9, as they have an extended rest between Leg 8 and Leg 9. Leg 10 will be 5 teams left, Leg 11 will be 4, and Leg 12 will be 3 teams racing for one million dollars.

According to RealityTV__Fan in X, there will be a Yield later in the Race. Head-to-Head in Leg 10, and Scramble in the final leg. Non-elimination leg(s) are gone since S34 and could potentially have a Salvage Pass in the US race. Another latest casualty ends with an elimination... Rubina and her sister Kristine are the latest boots (spec) in Montenegro 🇲🇪, a country that has not been visited by The Amazing Race.

I think it will be both Africa and Asia. They could head to Africa this season after 5 Europe legs might be South Africa that would host two legs there. South Africa has its own BB and it has aired since 2001. They will also head to Asia later in the race as I think two countries in Asia might be visited are Singapore and the Philippines, and even in Oceania for the penultimate leg in Australia before the final city might be Houston, Texas. Singapore could be one of the potential countries to be visited that it does not have an own version of BB. Philippines has its own version of BB as well and its more popular here (Wikipedia link). Both Africa and Oceania were originally intended to be visited in TAR 36 during COVID but the larger charter plane got backed out that was subsequently cancelled.
