I'm guessing she was cast because she has a lot of young followers and that's exactly what they want because the show is on Disney. Older contestants worked on ABC, but they need to expand their audience to survive on Disney. Somehow, I doubt most of the people age 40+ who used to watch on ABC subscribed to Disney+ to watch this one show. I just happened to get it a couple of years ago for my kid who wanted to watch Hamilton for school, and I never cancelled it. However, I doubt I would have subscribed if I didn't already have it. I do like it on Disney, but I don't think their audience is as huge as it once was.

I would think Charli's fans being kids or Gen Z would benefit her with the show being on Disney. People like Wayne and Gabby and Heidi would have been popular on ABC, but I'm not sure their fans watch Disney. I guess we'll just have to see. I'm really curious to know who is watching and voting.

There is no way Charli doesn't win. Even if just one percent of her followers vote, that's almost a million and a half people. Everyone else is getting probably a few thousand?

I'm hoping for Gabby, Wayne, Daniel and Shangela in the finals. It does look like we are getting two dances next week. Yay! The dark horse here might be Daniel. He has been near the bottom in scores several times, but never seems to be in the bottom two. Could he knock out a couple of contenders?

I'm still trying to figure out why she's doing DWTS, unless she wants to get into professional dancing. Like you said, it would be a lot easier to make money on social media and DWTS doesn't pay much. As the mother of a kid her age, I hope she goes to college, though. Fame is fleeting, and today's social media stars won't be remembered tomorrow.

Absolutely nobody is going to do this show anymore if they continue to make a mockery of this "competition" by deciding who they want in the finals. This show was fun when we got surprises like shock eliminations and winners we didn't expect. Not anymore. I was on the Iman train and was happy when he won, so I didn't expect it to be so predictable this season.

So what is the purpose of even getting people like Vinny if they think he shouldn't win the show? They might as well just get twelve ringers. I don't even like Vinny, but the way they got rid of him was left a sour taste in my mouth.

Next week, the show needs to drop the fuckery that is dance offs and relays, and do two dances instead. The judges also need to take a seat and let the fans decide who goes to the finals.

Yeah, he isn't exactly denying that they are an item, and they are definitely riding the Barbie and Ken crap as much as they can. I give Sasha kudos for keeping his mouth shut. I hope this annoying pair is on the next train out, but I doubt it. You are right, if he improved so much then he should have been up against Shangela, who had a breakthrough last week.

I don't find them fun to watch, but different strokes for different folks :-D I would definitely prefer to see him win over Vinny though.

I still think Emma and Trevor are hooking up, although the producers did cool down the romance/showmance angle because of the backlash regarding Sasha, who may or may not be okay with it. I can't think of any other reason they are bending over backwards to keep boring Trevor around. They conveniently manage to give him a showdown with Vinny which he can't lose. Of course, it's just a theory and I have no proof of any of this LOL.

It would be totally hilarious if he beat both Disney darlings Charli and Gabby. LMAO I think it would take the fun out of the show if the judges decided who won. I mean, I don't care for Vinnie, but if he wins, so be it.

Does Vinny have a large following on social media? I thought Snooky was the popular one on that show, but she didn't last long even though she was pretty good. Speaking of social media, Charli's following is so huge only one percent of her followers could vote and she would still win by a landslide. How do you beat that?

Yes, I miss the team dances with the old pros, especially Derek. I still remember those. I'm not going to remember the ones from yesterday. I like Derek as a judge, but it would be nice if he came back as a pro.

The show seems to be shoving their romance/showmance down our throats as well. He has been on the bottom two twice, but they manage to pull out the tens to keep him.

Gleb's choreography last night was the best I've ever seen from him. He is much better with Shangela than he has been with anyone else. I hope she makes the finals, but I don't see her beating Wayne, Charli or Gabby. Trevor was much better and his dance was pretty good, but it wasn't worthy of 10s. He seems nice and all, but why are they working so hard to keep him? Or Heidi? Jordin was only on the bottom once, so they should have kept her. I give her kudos for smiling the whole time, because they royally screwed her. The judges' save is way past its expiration date. Time to let the people on the bottom go. I had to laugh that Vinny picked the three weakest choreographers (Alan, Gleb and Brandon) for his team. On top of that, Koko certainly didn't help, either. That had to be the worst team dance ever.

I don't know, I saw a couple of interviews with James and he seems very bitter about his time on DWTS. I can't say I blame him, even though he should probably move on. Surely they won't pull that crap again?

Bones had a radio show that had an audience of millions, and popular country artists shilled for him on their social media. Vinnie doesn't have that kind of fanbase or powerful friends. I think the clock might strike twelve next week. I hope so anyway.

Didn't Ally Brooke get saved to go to the finals over James Vanderbeek? That was so gross and unfair. The bottom two at that point is irrelevant because there are so few people. I can see them saving Heidi or Trevor over Jordan and Daniel so they can get their stupid mother/daughter showdown or their Ken/Barbie romance/showmance. The judge's save is okay the first few weeks, but I hope they don't do it anymore after this week.

I know that means we have to see Vinny in the finals, but if fans vote for him, then he should be there.

I wouldn't be surprised if they pull out the 10s for Heidi this week. They must have not expected her to be in the bottom two. I didn't know Arnold and Maria Shriver divorced? If so, that makes it more weird that Arnold wouldn't show up for his son if he doesn't have to placate his wife.
