  1. I guess what I struggle with in that scene is the fact that they would be so afraid as to be in a complete panic. I can understand being uneasy, sure. But the knife was moving side to side, not towards them and supposedly they had become friends.

I've got it! Her mom was the assistant of a knife thrower who died in a tragic accident.

  2. You know, usually when I see some teen in a movie or show whining about the SATs I roll my eyes and think that they will be fine. On the other hand, that girl who walked right into the flying knife  (that was moving in an established pattern, no less)...

I mean what he was doing was no more dangerous than shooting an arrow at a target, though I guess now I know why my archery teacher felt it was actually neccesary to tell us to wait until every one was done shooting to collect our arrows from the target.

Or a better example might be the night I sat in a circle of people on the grass and watched while this hippy guy twirled fiery batons in complicated patterns.

  3. So they tell us that Maria was friends with Liz, Rosa, and Alex. When Liz first learns that Rosa was murdered she goes to Kyle and blabs everything, but later when she goes to Maria she keeps her lips sealed. A few episodes later Alex comes in and informs the audience and Liz that her long hours spent in the lab (cooking up a gene therapy 'cure' to alien powers) means that she has been ignoring Maria so much that she didn't notice that Mimi's health was deteriorating. Now, finally we get a girl's night episode with banter  (and that part is great) but Maria is still in the dark about the Aliens when everyone else knows. Liz what are you waiting for?

  4. You know, while I'm glad that Liz wasn't too upset (like... at all, really) when Michael revealed to her what he and Izzy did to her ten years ago--giving her The Mind Whammy TM to leave Roswell without Max so she wouldn't ask too many questions--it also kind of underscores the message that Max's feelings are unreciprocated.

  5. Does silver have a low melting point? Because it only took like 20 minutes  (driving to the hospital, somehow grabbing Izzy without any of the doctors except Kyle noticing, and driving back) to melt all that and then mix it with shampoo (and here I thought selenium was toxic to alien life).

  6. Man, I took one 1 hour food safety class seventeen years ago when I was working at a fast-food joint and I  still remember most of the rules including the importance of using gloves during preparation. How are these chefs even getting hired?

  7. I wish that they had at least had Maria show up with her date to the prom or said she was at home with the flu or something  (If there was a scheduling conflict with the actress?). Having her not present in the episode when she is friends with Alex, Rosa, and Liz is just weird.

Can someone please tell me what happened during the first 5 minutes? My Tivo was being a brat.

  8. So am I correct in assuming that Constance kept Michael in extreme isolation for about 6 years?

I'm talking about him never leaving the house, no school, no other people, (except the babysitter and the priest) very limited media exposure, no knowledge of his past, etc.

...and then she's surprised that he has problems.

  9. I think Rosa must've found out that Isobel was an alien  (probably from the sheriff) and that's why she got the stink eye? I dunno, but I guess we'll find out next episode.

I mean, if he was her secret boyfriend then he probably filled her head with anti-alien sentiment.

  10. I just watched the episode.

They should have sent the Django dress home. It was ugly, unfinished, and did not in any way reference a Lion. That being said, I don't like how Anne has never said anything positive to him. She reminds me of a teacher I had once who made me want to quit Art school.

I think that the leopard dress should have won. It was bold and fierce and did not completely expose the ass like Michelle's dress. Alternatively, I think the owl or the antelope dress should have won. I love the renaissance, but I don't think that Dmitri's look should have been top three and I suspect that he was only there to help create drama, and it actually (and sadly) makes me glad that this is their last season because I am so tired of that aspect of the show.
