  1. I think they should be bold and kill all the humans, and let the aliens win. For me, that would actually rescue this season, because then all the stupidity would be punished.  My fear is that this is going to turn out to be some kind of coma, or dream or something that somebody, probably Tom, is having.

  2. I want Ru Paul to be a guest judge on Face Off and eviscerate our contestants' "beauty" makeups

And have the challenge be to make your model a drag queen. I bet most of the contestants would really have a hard time with it. And if they absolutely have to have it be "monstery", then think of the alien spy woman that fooled around with Martin Short in "Mars Attacks!".

  3. So on another thread, (I think) I read a recommendation for the Grimnoir series by Larry Correia, and I wish I had the patience to look for the post, because I need to thank whoever said it!! Amazing stories, kinda like if Captain America and the Howling Commandoes used magic, and WWII was only against the Japanese. Awesome books, just love them!

  4. Okay, I've read every Leslie Meier Lucy Stone novel there is, and for some reason, in the last couple, especially this one, French Pastry Murder, Lucy Stone has regressed in morals and values to the 1950's!!

What is going on? You're in Paris, but everything is Murica, f**k yeah, and kill all the Muslims! Then Oh My God!! Your adult daughter is having sex! Before marriage! Get out the smelling salts, Mama's gonna faint! Holy crap, it was so bad I couldn't finish, and it's the very last Leslie Meier I'll ever read.

  5. I am currently on hold to read Pioneer Girl, so in the meantime, I got a book called "The Good Old Days- They Were Terrible!" by Otto Bettmann. Amazing information! It makes you look at all the Little House books quite differently. I'm glad this page exists, by the way! I'm more of a reader than a tv watcher, so this is cool.

  6. Sept.3, 2014 "A Love Triangle"

Kayla's baby's father refuses to return the child to her unless she dumps her fiance and comes back to him

This episode was totally misnamed, it should've been called " Bitter ex is jealous and is using child as a weapon". Shawn keeps crowing that he has "proof" of the abuse, that the police, cps and Dr. Phil couldn't find. What a loon!

  7. Something like a recreation of the storming of Normandy Beach with the Racers playing a role as part of a challenge would have been a far better use of that setting, I believe.

I personally think this would be terribly disrespectful! Treating it like a game is no way to show honour and gratitude.

Except for George's creation they all had too much of a humanoid aspect for my taste.

Exactly! Did I miss where they said it was an animal. animal, human hybrid? I was thinking along mythological lines, myself. None of these makeups impressed me much.

I would also love if they introduced punishment for behaviour outside of the kitchen. It would be fun to see the reaction if GR eliminated someone on the grounds of things that were said and done outside of service. After all, no employer wants employees poisoning the work climate

I totally agree with this! There's no way Ramsay isn't seeing everything that's being recorded, at least highlights of it. In Kitchen Nightmares, he talks a lot about camaraderie ( sp?) in the kitchen. Most of these people need to realize that to get to the end, you have to be a team first.

  10. The actor playing Yasumoto is really into the scifi/supernatural role.  He was on Lost playing the ruler of a secret lair hiding from the Smoke Monster.  He is on Helix playing an alien.  And now here he is again playing what seems to be an alien.  He was and is creepy in all three roles.

I wonder if he'll ever be playing a family man with kids and a dog....and a white picket fence.

He also played a murderous father in "The Wolverine"! He does creepy bad guy really well!

  11. actually thought it was an interesting scene when they showed Scott talking to Andi about how to deal with Gordon - she seemed to take him seriously and I thought that was an interesting move on his part

I agree with this, I'm surprised more cheftestants(?) don't ask Andi or the other sous-chef ( I forget his name, sorry) for advice. They've been with all the prior seasons, so they probably would have a lot of insight.
