Well geez louise.  I bet he'd do well paired with Glenn or Ve as well.

Lol, I actually meant more personality wise rather than talent. I think Adam was just too in your face and Logan got railroaded quite a bit.

      Maybe Anthony?

    Oh he'd be good, too.

I still love this show above all other competitions shows, but I really did like the 2 person teams. I feel like they got more difficult and more imaginative makeups when they had someone to bounce ideas off of.

I can't help but think Logan might have done better overall with a different partner.

I totally agree, but I don't know who. Any ideas? I think Laura, Gage or Tate  would have been perfect with Logan.

  4. Okay, here goes.......I don't like The Princess Bride. Cary Elwes is too pretty, Robin Wright isn't pretty enough, to me, the only good part was Andre the Giant, and that's only because he was just being Andre the Giant.

OMG, did Logan say "as it should be"

Yes, I heard it too, and I loved that Emily cried so hard for him. They really were a close knit little group.

I read all 3 of these (I'm currently reading the latest Mercy Thompson book, Silence Fallen), I wish I could find more series like these.

Have you tried Darynda Jones' Charley Davidson series? Or Jennifer Estep Gin Blanco? Or Seanan McGuires anything? Lol, can you tell I love urban fantasy? Oh, and also Anne Bishop the Others, Rob Thurmans Cal Leandros, and Kevin Hearne's Druid series?

  7. My biggest problem with romance movies is the premise that you have no control over who you fall in love with. I believe you totally do have control and a choice. If you don't think of your self as available you don't think of other people that way.  I've been happily married for 25 years, I have male friends, and I've honestly never looked at another man in that way. I've thought men were handsome in an objective way, but I truly feel that if you're happy, you don't see other people as romantic partners, and if you suddenly are, then your relationship is in trouble.

, I devoured the Bartimaeus Series

Can I ask if Nathaniel ever smartens up? I'm a couple chapters in the second book and I really don't like anybody yet, do they get more likeable? And have you read his Lockwood series? I have those ready to go next, but if I don't like this one I'm not sure if I should bother trying them.

The prize should be some kind of group project they all get to work on together for one of the judges projects.

I think this is a brilliant idea.

But this show, oh the feels.  These guys all love each other, that's plain to see.  HoI w many reality competitions can you say that about?

Right? I felt so bad for George and was happy when he & Cig wore their shorty shorts together anyway, and the "you run like you shit your pants" was funny!

I wonder if they brought the silk screens and made additional shirts once they decided they liked them.  Once a screen is made, it only takes the screen, a blank Tshirt, some fabric die, one squeegy and an iron to make more.

I assumed that too, since they're all artists.

My final two would be Emily and Tyler, with Cig and George as their assistants.

See, I would want Tyler with Emily and Cig with George, and I don't care who's on top because I think they would work as hard for each other as they would for themselves.

This was freaking terrible. Dumb. Poorly plotted. Even worse pacing. As Nick was busy mourning each and every death, Zerstorer was basically waiting around for Nick to catch up so that Nick could surrender the stick. It was probably most egregious with Monroe's death as the staff only returns to Zerstorer as Nick is grieving over Monroe. I don't care because it's CANCELED!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone was much dumber than usual. I'm not sure why Diana seemed to go from scared shitless to cool with Zerstorer. Even a line from Diana once Zerstorer showed his human face like "you look like a prince in a fairy tale." would have made her turn a lot more reasonable and it would have been another callback to season 1.

    Yep.

Diana was...bizarre. She watched her parents die with no emotion. She and Kelly 'liked' Zerstorer. It's like she was a sociopath in training. Her entire character makes no sense to me.

I thought they could have at least showed that she was mind controlled or something to make it believeable.

"ys, I would watch that show 20 years into the future, with the Grimm, Hexenbiest & triplets fighting (I'm assuming bad-guy) Wesen!"  only if we have different writers/showrunners

    Me too!

On a shallow note, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is not aging very well, I think she needs to gain some weight, she looks much too slender for her bone structure.

Since I read the Jane Yellowrock series, & the Incryptid series (do you read October Daye too?), I will check out Extreme Medical Services.

I do read them, and love them! Do you also read Seanan's Wayward Children? And Faith's Soulwood? They're both fantastic too.

An old series that only had 4 books and didn't finish (Grrr) but is still worth reading is the Menagerie by Christopher Golden and Thomas Sniegoski. Just really good storytelling.

    YA Fantasy about broken people

That is what Seanan McGuires Wayward Children series is going to be about. So far we're only 1 book in, but I loved it, it's got rave reviews from people who like fantasy.

I find I have to reread some a bit later to pick up on things I missed the first time around., I get so excited by the story that I read too fast, lol.

  14. I always find it so funny when I come on here and everyone is reading serious important books, and I'm like, Hey I'm reading a book series about a paramedic who treats monsters! And then I'm going to read about talking animals! Yay! Lol.

I generally like to read what I call brain candy, stuff that is far from my real life because I live my life, I don't need to read about it! I consider myself a devout reader, but not a well read one, if that makes sense.

But, the paramedic series is really good, it's by Jamie Davis, and is called the Extreme Medical Services series.

Then it's back to Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series which is about a Native American skinwalker who fights rogue monsters, then to Seanan McGuires Incryptid series which is about, you guessed it, cryptids! Hmmm, sensing a theme here.

they say he did get a bit of a bad edit ths episode.  Apparently he and Emily get along well and joke/prank quite a lot, and honestly they're all so nice I'm inclined to believe that while Adam was probably a bit flustered, he wasn't really being that much of a pill as we think from the edited version.

I sure hope so, because I remember liking him during his season, and his behaviour this season felt almost like sour grapes. I find it easier to believe he got a bad edit based on Logan and Tylers interactions with him, I feel like they would have interacted with him differently if he was being a dick. I totally agree about the drama, Skin Wars is usually pretty friendly too, probably for the same reason, it being a season long job interview.

  16. I lost a lot of respect for Adam when he just barged ahead of Emily during the choosing of the maps, and I'm glad he went home. This whole challenge I felt like he was condescending to Emily and I think he's just jealous of her amazing talent at such a young age.

I'm also disappointed in the single eliminations and no more immunities. I liked the team dynamics for most of them, and now I don't like that I have to choose one person to root for!! I want all of Emily, Tyler, Cig and George to win, lol.

I thought the encephalitis patient was awe inspiring, it looked so realistic, and the model drooling and having watery eyes just clinched it.

Anything mid transformation would be awesome. I would also like for them to do a makeup for lesser known entities, maybe country based monsters? Like the Kappa, or Baba Yaga,  or the Qilin.

The Stand is the best, and I totally agree about It, I found it very hard to believe the whole ending, weren't they like 12 or something? I'm pretty sure kids in the '50's and '60's didn't grow up quite that fast.

Sorry, I should have put "It" in quotes!

But about the Stand, I would love to see a new mini series of it, casted better, and on a cable channel so all the swearing and violence is left in.

That and one about Swan Song by Robert McCammon are my dream movies.
