Mmmmm, Carole, I don't believe ya weren't fired for telling your boss that he's full of shit & scared of someone who works for him.  Dumb, dumb, dumb, fucking dumb thing to do, Carole.  Sure, it was entertaining for us to see her humiliate Andy Cohen, but it cost her hundreds of thousands.  Not too smart, hun.

Oh my gosh.  Did anyone see the outfit she wore in the first pic in that link?

I know that probably seems like nothing to Frankel, what with her work history including having produced the Grammys: "I produced large-scale events such as the Grammys, Emmys, movie premieres, and more... in my past life." http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city/season-2/blogs/bethenny-frankel/bang-it-out)

A claim which (let's be clear) means Frankel is taking credit for producing a multi-million dollar event with artists like Madonna on live televison (can you believe the absolute shit Frankel tries to make fly?) --  so yeah, compared to THAT, I guess Radzi's publications in the last five years look like so much Skinnygirl bologna!

Not so much.  The link posted is 9 years old, and B is talking about her relationship with Kelly, B's impression (right or wrong) that Kelly is saying she's 'all that' NOW.

The quote was:  "I produced large-scale events such as the Grammys, Emmys, movie premieres, and more... in my past life."  Again, joking and talking about Kelly thinking she was all that (currently) not to endorse Jill's charity.  So, B wasn't saying she did that........she was saying she did not.

It actually meshes rather well with her feelings about Carole's current 'career'.   She's not talking about past accomplishments.  She's talking about NOW.

Again, that link is at least 9 years old when B is talking about her dislike of Kelly because she didn't support Jill's charity (because at that time, Jill and B were extremely close).

Kim recently booked the female lead, for a new Showtime series.

But will be in the Deadwood movie.

Not surprised, Deadwood actors stayed booked, just like The Wire cast.

Thanks for the info.  I'm glad to hear it.  :)

What? That will be so cool.

Apparently they start filming soon and it'll be out next year some time (with a 10 year jump in time).  They say they have all the original actors.  Powers Booth is dead, of course.......but it made me wonder about Kim Dickens.

I don't understand the "curled under her foot" part because it doesn't look that way to me. Bethenny and the woman are facing each other, and their shoes/feet are facing each other as well.

Okay.  I'm not trying to be confrontational at all, but look at her left foot.  And shoe.

Something about that pic seems strange.  Maybe it isn't even that it *is* strange, but rather I get a really off feeling when I look at it.

Not a big deal when one considers the whole issue.  It just seemed odd to me.  :)

  6. Regarding the pic upthread:  Does that seem 'off' to anyone else?

First, who is the blonde hugging B?  And why does it look like it's photoshopped?  B is sobbing, and not hugging.  The woman shown hugging has a serious issue with her left shoe.  As in.......it looks curled under her foot.

The very short blonde person to the right in the pic appears barefooted and toting an umbrella that looks more suited to Mary Poppins after a wind storm.  Plus.......a dress that short?

Maybe I'm simply cynical, but something about that pic is.......off.   I don't know about you, but we have better canopies set up for our picnics than is shown in that pic.

I read somewhere that at each med check they interview them, so when it does get to that point, they are not tipped off.

I've heard several of the contestants say that the med check every-so-often is just that.  The medical people are not allowed to have convos about anything else.  No 'how are the <choose team> doing'.  No 'what is the news lately'.  Just like 'get on the scale'.  Blah, blah, gone.

Sam's sobbing during this supposed interview led me to believe that he knew perfectly well he won.

This could be because I don't particularly like Sam, because if he's so worried about providing for his family, he should:

    Get.

    a.

    Job.

    Anyway, congrats, dough boy.

Such a bummer not to be with you posters during the last two episodes, but I'm a mod on a football board, and both preseason games were on Thursday night.  ugh.

    ETA:

I also don't really believe Larry's newfound life path/knowledge/love of family.  He knew before going into this season that he and Nichole were going to get together and offer 'lessons' on survival when it ended.   Doesn't sound like a  guy who was so injured emotionally that he hasn't been able to get it together for a few years.  It still looked like playing for the camera to me.

I agree with all of you that I don't want to see Alone/notAlone, or repeat players again.

Will I watch?  Of course.  It's one of my favorite programs.  :)

  8. Plus, I'm tired of seeing little vermin get skinned.   Is that all they've got this season?  Hours and hours of mice and tiny birds get skinned?

I'd much rather watch someone actually build something.

I think Mongolia was a mistake for 'Alone'.

Still love the show, but tired of what I see as production getting too involved.

Perhaps I'll change my mind in the remaining episodes.

LARRY is actually growing on me! Couldnt stand him at first  but hey,  he's entertaining! Yeah,  and playing to the camera but always interesting to watch a guy who walks to the beat of a different drummer.

To me?  He was entertaining (somewhat) in his first season.  That's when he seemed to be walking to a different beat.  Now?  He simply seems to replay all the crap that got him some attention the first season.  "Mouse!  FUCK mouse!  Fuck! Fuck!  MOUSE!"  Rather boring, although seeing him realize he had an echo and cry when he heard his OWN voice was interesting.  He already knows he's got a gig when this season ends .  They probably all do.   Plus, now he's celebrating cold weather because the mice are gone?  As far as we know, they were the only thing he was eating.   Could be production tricks.  Who knows.

f you had to team up with one of these guys to survive who would you choose?!  Dave to survive for me.  Brett more to hang with!

For me, it would have been Randy.   The man has some skills.

Now?  Probably the same as you.  Brett.  Not because I think he's going to last the longest (I honestly don't have an opinion now), but because I like him.

I'd be worried that Dave might kill me in my sleep and smoke my innards, and then not eat them......so no.  Not him.  I do think he has mad skills with his bow and I respect that.  If he actually gets a deer from atop his weird ass, shaky, scary, dangerous deer stand, then good for him.  I appreciate his skills, but I wouldn't want to spend one minute in his company.

    Sam?  Just ........um...........no.

  10. After watching this episode again, I'm afraid that Britt will be the next tapper.  He's saying the whole, "OMG, my family" thing.  Hope I'm wrong as I really like his sense of humor this season.  It's becoming cold now though.  If one isn't ice fishing on a lake (vs a river) during the winter?  A few smoked fish halves are not going to get him very far.  He didn't take a food ration.

I hope the tapper is Sam.  :)  He's such a snooze with his pathetic little straw house when he knows how low the temps will go.  The only hunting choice he choose for his ten items was trapping wire.  Wow.  He sucks at that.  It makes me embarrassed for the NE boy.  Perhaps his TWO food rations are gone.

Larry also took two food rations.  His paracord  was used to weave his fishnet, obviously.  He's had basically no luck with his trapping wire (that we've seen).  Has he?  Please remind he if he has.

I suspect Randy and Dave have the best odds of sourcing food, but who knows with the editing.

Right?  The editing has been odd.  Who knows what's really going on.

It's been a joy to see three people actually bring down kills with a bow and arrow this season.  Never been done before on 'Alone'.  Randy, Dave, and Jesse.

Jesse is gone.   Randy and Dave remain as the guys who actually eat red meat this season vs a squished mouse or leeches.  One has a great shelter, and one does not (yet).  I hope neither one of them is the next Mike, or......whoever.   I think they both took one food ration.  They both took the same things except Randy took a saw and Dave took a gill net (I think?).

I am soooooo tired of Fucking Larry and his histrionics.  Bye' boy.

  11. Did anyone read the article on the previous page?   What gets me is this:

    Quote

Hansen’s guilty plea comes less than two weeks after his older brother received a one-year deferred sentence and

probation for assaulting an Uber driver after a night of drinking last year. As part of his plea arrangement, Sig Hansen was ordered to stop drinking and undergo alcohol treatment.

Sig Hansen is also now awaiting a decision from the state Court of Appeals over a King County judge’s ruling that would allow a sexual-abuse lawsuit brought by his estranged daughter, Melissa Eckstrom, to proceed to trial.

Eckstrom claims her father sexually abused her as a toddler, while her parents were divorcing about three decades

ago. Hansen has vehemently denied the claims as false, calling Eckstrom’s suit “an old-fashioned shakedown.”

I *do* believe that Edgar did what he did.  No question.

But do I believe that Sig molested his daughter as a toddler?  No.  I do not.

    Am I missing something?
