  1. Rick: Da-da, I have some papers for you to sign. Eric: What papers? Rick: You know, the ones we talked about. The ones giving me forever control (I can't say that long word) of Forrester Creations. Eric: And why are we doing this? Rick: Da-da! To prove you love me as much as you love Ridge. Eric: (Mumbling) Well, you know I do, what's all the fuss about? Rick (sucking his thumb and kicking against the chair leg): I just won't believe it till you sign these papers making me the always C.E.O. Eric: Well. Well. Rick: Also, while we are at it, my attorney has prepared these other papers. Here's the transfer of title to your car, joint bank account papers--your account, of course--we'll need the keys to the safe depost box, but we can do that later. And here are papers transferring the deed to the house to me. Eric: All that? Rick: I have big doubts. Eric: Ah. Rick: What? Eric: Hmm. Rick: Are you hesitating? You can't expect me to do my best work here when you don't have confidence in me. When you won't do the first thing--well, several things--that I ask you. You are telling me that I am not worth your signature on the only thing--well, again, several things--I ask you. You are saying that I am not equal to Ridge. Eric: I didn't say that. Rick: But you didn't sign. See the pen there? You didn't pick it up. Eric: I'm afraid I have a sudden attack of paralysis. See, I can't move my hand. I must have caught it from Ridge. Sorry, Rick, just can't sign today. Never was good with my feet.
  2. Thanks, St3phForrester. This could have been a nice developing story, but it is over in a flash. Katie unplugs from Ridge, plugs into Bill. Now we are through with Katie. We might have enjoyed it if we had had time to want it, with lots of little side trips along the way.
  3. Rick was pretty cute when he was a teenager, back when Amber was his babysitter and seduced him.
  4. I would be bothered by this, too, if I could believe it. Even though I saw it happening, I couldn't believe it, and have written it off as a writer's aberration. Not just that it was Bill, that it was anybody in their right mind. That Deacon is expressing his love and all that stuff makes me think he is going to be written off, along with Quinn, for quite a while. Don't do this, writers. Keep him there, but with his original flavor.
  5. No, but it would make more sense, just more trouble and expense to shoot. And if they allowed Hope to stay around for a few days of preparaion, as you would expect before a move to Milan, there would be a lot more drama between her and Wyatt. That would have been more interesting than the woulda shoulda between her and Liam. To me, that is just so dead.
  6. What happens to Hope and Liam's next wedding attempts: Guests are all there, waiting for Carter, who is to officiate at the wedding, but he finds he has to perform an emergency appendectomy. By the time he has finished, everyone has gone home. Liam and Hope decide to have a canoe wedding. Out on the river, Hope stands up so that all the young women on the bank can see her pristine wedding dress Eric has designed for her, and the canoe turns over. The minister grabs Liam and offers to baptize him so as not to waste the opportunity, but Hope is swept downstream, landing at a resort where Wyatt is sipping a drink at a table with a minister friend of his. Here she is in her wedding dress, and even though it is wet, here's the minister, here is Wyatt, so.... Hope has asked Ridge and Caroline to design her next wedding dress, they are such a hot team, it has to be them. Somehow, even though they work together on it for hours at a time, the design doesn't get finished. Days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months. Oliver tells Hope, "I saw a nifty wedding dress on sale at Neiman Marcus, you could have it now. Or you and I could fly to Las Vegas, they have wedding chapels there, we could be married today." Raoul stumbled and fell in front of her, she thought it was a proposal and accepted him.
  7. Alternative ending, instead of Liam seeing Hope walking away on the golf course, at the airport, Wyatt watches her disappear into a crowd.
  8. Where did this compassionate, decent Deacon come from? Bring us back our selfish, uncaring, short-sighted Deacon, the one who would shrug his shoulders at someone else's tragedy. He would have told Quinn, "Lighten up, or you'll lose someone else besides your grandson."
  9. Hope just fades away as she is walking (to Milan). Does this give her angel status? I noticed she took only a purse with her when she left Wyatt, but I looked for it at her ascension, and I didn't see it. Where I go, you don't need purses?
  10. Considering other possibilities, instead of marrying Wyatt, Hope could have taken Pam's boyfriend away from her, then she would have had security.
  11. Liam said Hope miscarried, but we didn't see that happening, no one had to leave the room while something happened. All we saw was the doctor saying she didn't hear a heartbeat, and calling the baby "he" for the first time. I think Hope has mentioned feeling a flutter, which would put it at about four and a half months. Maybe the baby is still alive, and there was some kind of fold of fat, of which Hope has very little, masking the sound. The doctor didn't wait very long before she turned on her heel. That baby is still alive, and will go on to go to boarding school.
  12. Hope: You pushed your way in, demanded to talk to me, wanted to talk in the garden, and now that we're here, you are leaving? Quinn: Uh, yeah. Hope: I'm standing here in my high heels, above this long row of stairs, knowing how dangerous you are, and I'm ready to talk. Quinn: What could go wrong?
  13. Hope: Is this spot high above this loooong bunch of steps a good place to talk? Quinn: Looks good to me. I'm going now.
  14. Hope: What are YOU doing here? I thought I made it clear I don't want you anywhere near me. Leave now. Quinn, walking in past her: Is it so wrong to want to be a part of my grandchild's life? Hope: I told you to leave. GET OUT! I'M GOING CRAZY NOW! I MEAN IT! EEEEEE! GET OOOOUUUUTT! Quinn: Let's go out in the garden to talk. Hope: Okay.
  15. So Deacon has errands to run. Wonder what they are. And how he will get there, since Quinn must have used the car to get to the baby shower.
  16. This show has consistently portrayed black people in what I consider an unrealistic way. Many of the incidental black minor characters in the past have been cold, distant, very official. I have wondered if somebody had a bad expeirence with a black nanny long ago, and this was about the only black person he/she ever knew. I have cringed at the jailbird, homeless, gold-digger stuff that has come up with the very few black leading characters. I wouldn't say, though, that Maya is truly a golddigger, because she was quite willing for Rick to give up being a CEO to stay with her. But she has been pushy and callous, flaunting her new status, reveling in the power and wealth she thinks she will have. I think in this case, with the position that Maya was in, the writers couldn't resist going for it, probably they would have done the same if she had been white. But we don't know. As it is, she is the representative black person on the show, with a little assist from Carter, and I have felt uncomfortable with it. To make up for this, to show their hearts are in the right place, the writers need to bring us an extremely personable, expansive, funny, dynamic, honorable black person to enjoy and admire. Right away.
  17. Ally and Oliver seemed to be having a better time at the Fair than I would have thought they would have. No other young people, just Pam and her boyfriend.
  18. Quinn has already done too much, but so far, no one has reported her to the police. If she ventures into Sheila Carter territory, she will end up like her, off the program. We can't have that. We must have our shockingly evil but not too dangerous villianess, someone quirky and attractive, fun for us. If Quinn were the typical obsessed mom, she would be jealous of any woman who talked to her son, but she is happy as a puppy over Hope, so she doesn't seem harsh and scary. But stabbing someone in the neck with a toy sword is not a safe way to play, lots of vital stuff in the neck. Be a leeetle bit sensible, Quinn, we want to keep you around. As for Quinn and Liam, yes, she could do that. She mixes sex and fighting about as well as cats do. If she and Liam had a knock down, do it right session, that would be all it would take to ruin the Liam-Hope relationship, and Hope would then belong to Quinn's son.
  19. KKL always fills out the role, and lets others fill out theirs, never oversteps, is always appropriate, and takes care of the nuances. If you see something on her face, you can take it to the bank, it means something. When she was originally chosen to be Brooke, it was partly because she came up with changes that would make the scene better, not just what would make her look better. She works for the whole, and the support she gets is earned.
  20. A reawakening Ridge is in the grasp of Katie, tears rolling down her cheeks, wetting his shirt. Katie: And remember the playground, remember reading poetry, remember dancing in the park.... Ridge (to himself): What is the matter with Katie? Katie (facing him): ...remember US? Ridge: Oh, God, no. Katie, holding onto Ridge, muttering into his ear line after line of a Shakespearian sonnet, then beginning a soliloquy. Ridge: Logan! Logan! Somebody!
  21. What somebody suffering from a concussion needs most is a party.
  22. Ridge, the casual-elegance, light-touch dress designer, he knew he was good looking, and relied on it, while at the same time seemed to say it didn't matter, ignore that, please. Ridge, the unkempt dress designer, looking more like a rumpled professor of philosophy or science, would use his design pencil to write equations or a few lines of poetry, would smile when ready to make an acquisition, his waters seemed to run too deep for wading. Thorsten Kaye, he's no Ron Moss, but a really good actor, can he remake the role of Ridge and be accepted in it? Easier to have come in as Bill's uncle or something. Could we ask Katherine Kelly Lang to be Liam?
