What happened on twitter yesterday with Megan and what is going on today? I am loving her misery...
She's a trending topic and one of the writers wrote, "Meghan McCain is cancelled for 2019." Not getting any sympathy. Lots of angry comments.

I finally watched it and it was quite bizarre. Nutmeg's chest was red just almost as soon as she started her diatribe, and then when she started getting upset while Sunny was speaking, her ears went beet red. And then she started sobbing and said that she was very nervous to speak about this topic. Why?
I think she started out upset, she was dour as soon as she arrived and was carefully studying her blue cards before Joy even introduced the topic.
Maybe her twitter fight from yesterday made her upset, because she was getting reamed out on twitter.
She's not doing any better on twitter today.

Totally agree with Sunny. When I saw the R. Kelly interview, all I could think about is, where is his lawyer?! It was a train wreck but Gayle definitely handled it well.
And wow, did anyone catch how hard Meghan rolled her eyes when Ana said something to Abby just now? Was that really necessary? Smh.
Aha! Just started here and I was going to comment about her eye roll when Ana interrupted her. I don't understand how she has any friends, or how they would ever put up with her rudeness.

That was before her time. She wouldn't know about that. <waves dismissively>
Thank you! I was under the mistaken impression that she was highly educated.

Did Megsly just say Stand by Your Man was done by Patsy Cline? Even I know it was Tammy Wynette’s song and I hate country music!
Meghan, in particular, should know that because of Hillary Clinton's famous comment about not standing by her man like Tammy Wynette.

Meghan makes it sound like a woman with a healthy pregnancy at eight months just up and decides to have an abortion which is a lie.
They were talking about climate change and if parents are right to consider that when they have children and Meghan just starts shrieking about abortions. This might just be her most obnoxious moment. Her interrupting Sunny to continue her ridiculous ranting is typical but still wrong. And yes Meghan Sunny might very well be against abortion but she also understands the law.
And because I hate her so much. STFU MEGHAN.
Just reached the part when Meghan talks over Sunny and won't shut up. Joy asked if Sunny was going to be allowed to finish her thought, and M kept talking and making faces. I don't remember anyone being as rude or immature as she has been since she came on this program.

Because, above all else, she is NOT a professional. She's a princess without etiquette. She doesn't know how to behave on television. She wiggles in her chair. She aims that laser-eye when she disapproves of anything/anyone. She checks herself on the monitor to be sure she's still pretty. All the antics that may have been cute (may have!) when she was six years old and younger are appalling now. Cut it out!
Amen!!

These interviews with politicians are certainly not one of the show's strengths. They never really seem to go too well. Kind of clumsy and awkward. Usually it starts with a nice set up from Joy or Whoopi which allows the interviewee to settle in and say something.
And then , if the guest is not Republican, 3-2-1... the attempted Gotcha moment from Meghan.... which always turns out to be a giant fail on her part, and then a couple of softball questions are usually tossed in by Sunny & Abby to help fill in the awkwardness left over by Meghan's stupid question.
At least Ana got in some substantive back and forth today.
There's going to be plenty more of these on the way, folks. Sigh.
And yes, Meghan was very taken aback by Ana mentioning her texting with the Congresswoman. The concept of having a dialogue with someone from the other team is so foreign to her.
Not a fan of Tulsi, but Ana's way of talking to her is the only way to have a discussion of differences. Meghan is always rude, sighs, wobbles her head, and looks to the audience for affirmation. Someone should have told her that her face will freeze in her scowl if she keeps it up. Bless this group for helping with my sanity when I yell at the TV. Sick of Meghan's entire being.

Okay, Jill Abramson's voice is kind of driving me nuts.
On another note, Meghan and Abby can whine and complain about the New York Times all they want. They're doing just fine.
Even though I like Jill, her voice always reminds me of the sloth from Zootopia, and it's hard not to think of him when she talks.

Kudos to you guys for being able to daily watch Megan the Megalomaniac. I try. Gawd, she's an awful screeching banshee.
And...there are voice coaches The View could hire. That might help with the constant interrupting/nails on blackboard effect. On second thought, maybe not.

Lmaoooo Meggie gets mad at the audience yet again - and Joy encourages them to clap on, LOL!
I caught that too! She's so petty and immature.
Why does she always, always look at the audience?? She's the only one I remember doing this on a daily basis.

Haven't seen today's show, but after seeing four pages of response, I am going to YouTube now. I completely agree with everyone who commented on Meghan's display of grief.
Has she ever acknowledged the grief that her mother, brothers, and grandmother feel. There is a selfishness in her grief and almost an enjoyment of sharing it with everyone.

Stopped watching for a year and came back last year to read the boards and to see the show. So...today inspired me to delurk and to comment about Meghan's sullen, childish tantrums. Writing to ABC doesn't seem to help, but watching the commercials and writing down the ads to find all the sponsors might help. When the nurses were upset with Joy's comments, ABC did get a little worried. Meghan is the most insolent person I have ever seen on a panel, and it's an unpleasant experience to watch. I say this as a retired teacher who taught high school and middle school, and as someone who has used up most of my profanity vocabulary at Trump, and am starting to use it on Meghan. Reading the comments here makes me laugh. Thank you.

Whoopi to Joy - ". . . hyper bowl'" ??? She is just not as smart as she puts on. When Joy corrected her with the proper pronunciation and said that she doesn't like people over-using the word "amazing" I thought of Whoopi. She cannot interview a fellow "star" without using the word amazing or fantastic.
I was half-listening this morning, still asleep, but when I heard "hyper bowl" I couldn't believe she said it. Whoops is never, ever wrong, though. Been gone for a few weeks and forgot how bad it could get.

Yep, you got it right. She says she's 60 but there has been stuff out there for a long time saying she's 5/6 years older. Maybe she changed her age in her 30s and now she can't hardly change it back. Or maybe she really is 60? I don't know but either way, it doesn't make a lot of difference - except in one way: If she's really over 65 she should prove it so she can qualify for Medicare. Ha!
I gave up trying to figure out her real age after I looked at more articles. The articles now state that Clyde was her older brother. The dates keep changing!

Is the writer on this forum? She said exactly what so many people here have said, and she is the first one who has commented almost verbatim on the dynamics between Whoopie, Paula, and the rest of the panel. I felt as though I was reading all the recent comments here, pulled together in one column. Yes!!! Missed yesterday because the news coverage was about the closure of all LA schools.
Thank you for the link.

Correcting spelling. Whoopi not Whoopie. Not sure why I keep doing that!

I think she is a he and most definitely a poster on this forum.
I was debating whether or not to identify the person as he or she. It's 10:22 here and Whoopie has already used up her maximum number of insults and lectures. She's better than coffee.

It's fascinating that Whoopi kind of backed down from Paula....for now. Paula iS in the news business.. a cut throat place so Whoopi isn't as formidable as that..imho.

I did not appreciate this show using my beloved Bon Jovi music as their "entrance theme" today and then not crediting it. Actually, I don't appreciate this show using it at all, lol.
Did you catch it today when Paula said her husband used to watch the show but doesn't anymore? Hahahaha. He probably hates seeing his wife being constantly bullied.
During her lecture today about the presidential election and voting Whoopi actually said, " Everyone is a minority these days. We are all minorities." I don't the word minority means what Whoopi thinks it means, hahaha.
Then she invoked Nazi Germany and Italy but I'm betting she doesn't know why. Joy had to remind her that Hitler was voted into office. I bet Whoopi doesn't know the definition of fascism, which is a real thing and not limited to long ago Nazi Germany. Maybe she should 'KNOW HER HISTORY!" and learn about the 2002 French presidential election, Jean-Marie Le Pen and the National Front party. I know, how about learning some political history yourself before lecturing people on TV about it Whoopi? Sheesh.
I give the prize for the most obnoxious moment today to Whoopi smugly declaring, :"People who swear have larger vocabularies [than people who do not?] and Paula daring to have a different opinion. Then Paula said, she thought it was a lot harder [for comedians] to be funny without swearing and used Jim Gaffigan's act as an example. But before she could finish that thought Whoopi interrupts, with, "That's not true! Because I sit her every day and I get through it. I don't say one dirty word on this show." Which kind of proved Paula's point to me, lol.
Sometimes she even warns the censors to prepare to bleep her!

I think Raven's problem with marriage has more to do with money than commitment. Just sayin'.
Deleted double post.
Just go into edit & delete them.
Tried that and managed to screw it up somehow!

The Whoopster started off the show by interrupting Paula mid-sentence. Gawd!!!
Delete double post.
Just started watching and yelled at her again. Don't understand why the producers won't tell her to knock it off. I used to love her as an actress and comedienne, but now I wish she would go away!!! Far, far away!

If there is a ban on Muslims, wouldn't people just pretend not to be Muslims? I don't get it, but Trump really sounded like more of a moron than usual; and he IS big ole bigot. If not, I'll eat your hat. .
I felt embarrassment for Raven wearing that --- whatever that was. I'm all for funky and edgy on younger folks, but that was just awful imo. That white trail thing looked like the pull device that you dry your hands on in that rotator towel contraption at a gas station bathroom.
Did Joy get a whole hour for her Bday? I know Whoopi did.
Get off my lawn kids! And pull your damn pants up! :)
Or do what the Danes did when Hitler came to town. Many people wore Jewish stars. Everyone could be Muslim.

It is interesting that Joy is the only mod that can fill in for Whoopi and WG takes it in stride. She had a fit when RO did when she was out for her back, and Paula when she was out for her brothers death.
Whoopie owes her job to Joy.

"The View": Week Of 3/11/2019
in The View
I'm so sorry that you lost both parents in three years. That's such a difficult loss. Hope you are taking good care of yourself.
