  1. Samantha is SO OBNOXIOUS, SO STRANGE, SO SELF-CENTERED that I don't know how she got through into the show at all. Poor Neil got stuck with this TOTAL LOSER but absolutely NO ONE should EVER get stuck with this unusually bratty, self-centered, small-minded, unintelligent, disrespectful, big-mouth creepy woman.
  2. The premise of the show drew me in, and the personalities kept my attention. It's surprising that in Season 2, all 3 men were such immature, flawed persons. They must have all put on quite an act to convince the experts that they were ready for marriage, when, in fact, not one of them was anywhere near the level of maturity, responsibility and commitment marriage requires. All 3 were tremendous disappointments, with Ryan R being the worst of the group--he was still lying through his huge teeth about wanting Jaclyn in his life at the "6 Months Later" show. With the exception of Jessica who lowered herself to Ryan D's level with her $100 bill moment of madness, the women seemed more willing to take on the daunting responsibility of marriage. Jaclyn, of course, is the most attractive of all six participants with her insights, her intelligence, her sense of humor, her great energy, her sense of fashion and finally, her beauty. She lit up the whole set on the "6 Months Later" show, just as she had lit up Ryan's home on Christmas Eve. She did not deserve Ryan R, and I hope she finds a truly fine man of integrity in the near future. If it was anything, MAFS was certainly entertaining.
  3. I agree that the most disturbing part of the "6 Montha Later" was the experts trying so hard to keep Jaclyn and Ryan together. While everyone believed in Ryan at the beginning, he showed his Mama's boy immaturity early on and his horrific rejection of Jaclyn was painful, all of which he covered up with lies and pretense for the cameras. While all 3 men are adolescent weaklings, Ryan is the most hypocritical, even in the "6 Months Later" pretending to want to continue with Jaclyn. Although Jaclyn made it clear she had not heard from this jerk for months, the "experts" still believed in him and wanted Jaclyn to continue the torture. Some experts.
  4. At first, I favored Jaclyn and Ryan R, but once Ryan showed his true, immature self, I hoped Jaclyn would just move on, so when she decided to "stay married," I was tremendously disappointed. Now, six months later, it's not surprising that their relationship did not work, and I'm relieved that Jaclyn has moved on and away from that loser, Baby Ryan. Even at the end, he was still offering insincere apologies and could hardly wait to get back to his comfort zone-- the basement. Good riddance! The other two couples also never stood a chance--weak men with strong women.
  5. Ryan R and Jaclyn are the most interesting couple. Jaclyn appears to be a fun-loving, affectionate, fashionable woman who is probably a great friend, and who will be a positive, uplifting influence on Ryan's cute niece. Ryan, although obviously a sweet guy devoted to his family, does not appear to be anywhere near as well-rounded, smart or mature as Jaclyn. While Jaclyn is drawn to Ryan for his self-deprecating sense of humor and kind nature, eventually she will be bored and frustrated by his immaturity. I hope they make it though because of the three couples, these two people tried the hardest to make their relationship work, looking deep into themselves, admitting their shortcomings and worked to be better people as they proceeded through the experiment that is "Marriage at First Sight."
  6. Davina was not just shady with her vitriolic social media snipes at Sean, she was downright evil--yes, she is Satan! If she possessed the least bit of class, she would know better than to behave like the leader of 8th grade mean girls clique. In keeping with her superior attitude she labelled Sean weak for a second time in the finale, and then when Sean reacted angrily and criticized her, she was shocked by his "betrayal of their friendship." Huh? She and her friends lampooned Sean mercilessly, and she broadcasts to the world that Sean is weak but does not see HER behavior as a betrayal. While the other five people talked about learning important life lessons, introspection and self-anaysis during their marriages, egocentric Davina only dreams of a strong man, who will be present, ever at her side, catering to her every wish. Her greatest flaw is that she thinks she is flawless. Ironic and sad. Very sad.
  7. Ryan constantly uses "Me and Jaclyn" as the subject of his sentences--this is incorrect so back to 5th grade English.
  8. Smiley, I agree with you--we're the only ones giving Sean some slack. I hate chopping poor old Sean into mincemeat based on the very few, edited snippets we see of him. I think he started out on the right track, instantly taken in by Davina's beauty and ready to start a relationship, but as he got to know Davina, he found himself up against a very powerful, inflexible person whose expectations he could never live up to. In fact, I feel certain that had Sean given up his entire life to move in with Davina as she expected, she eventually would have lost respect for him. Sean was in a lose-lose situation. In fairness to Davina (as scary as she is), she clearly stated she wanted someone who was willing to live in Manhatten, but the experts could not predict that Sean was not that person. They were not a good match: that's the bottom line and all the other accusations and recriminations are unnecessary.
  9. Both Ryan R and Ryan D have terrific mothers so maybe they'll both make good husbands eventually. Ryan R knows how to turn on the charm, but he is not ready for marriage and he found out the hard way--an instant marriage that has left him in shock and dismay. His "kiss and tell" episode describing Jaclyn as a sex maniac was terrible--his big mouth was a turnoff and says a lot about him. No woman deserves such shoddy treatment in front of the whole world. Say bye bye, Jaclyn.
  10. Davina is a control freak, but she was very clear from the beginning she wanted to stay put in NYC no matter what--that includes promotions, alien invasions, acts of nature, etc. Talk about inflexible! Her superior attitude is hurtful and demeaning to Sean who cannot reason or discuss anything with her because it's her way or the highway. In the segment with the sexologist, she apologizes for anything she did wrong then very sincerely asks, "What did I do wrong?" She does not see any faults or shortcomings in herself, so Sean is better off taking his promotion and running away as fast as possible. My favorite couple was Ryan and Jaclyn until Ryan had his "I'm losing my family, I WANNA GO HOME!" meltdown. Really? He is definitely NOT ready for marriage and needs to stay put in his mother's basement until he grows up (which may be never). Unless Jaclyn wants to live in the basement, she better not marry this guy. Jessica and Ryan will stay together but Mr. Hothead will no doubt rear his ugly head frequently so Jessica better arm herself with patience and psychologists.
