  1. Alyssa is a really negative person. She could say...this match isn't working, I'm not attracted to you, but let's try to enjoy this as much as we can. She's acting like a spoiled brat.
  2. I think the families and "friends" said way too much and instigated problems before these couples got started.
  3. Alyssa seems to be very cold and she looks like she's guilty all the time. I haven't found anything nice or warm about her personality.
  4. Is it me? Or are Alyssa and Chris not even remotely a good match? I don't know why these two were matched. I don't think it's Alyssa's fault, he's clearly not her type. What a mess.
  5. The ratings on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes keep moving downward. It's very rare to see something rated so low.
  6. Something tells me they gave Cynthia Nixon way too much influence in the development of this plot. She's actually a very accomplished actor, but she's become a different person as she aged--always on the bandwagon. This story just needed art. We have plenty of politics in our lives.
  7. Eight episodes and still nothing interesting. They introduced way too many characters that are hanging out with no purpose, dropped some, there's no rhyme or reason to the plot which just keeps splintering off into unfinished stories. Is this about Carrie and her life without Big? Maybe...but they drowned that plot out with silliness and unbelievable tangients. Miranda has become stupid and naieve (once smart and savvy), Charlotte is a complete ninny, Carrie has become boring. This is seriously a depressing series. Samantha wins.
  8. It's not the ratings so much as the critics that they care about. The critics already dragged this one through the mud.
  9. I thought David Eigenberg's performance in that scene was the best acting in the series so far. It was real, he didn't exaggerate his character, and it was moving. I'm sorry that they make 55 year old people seem so old...what a crock. When I was older than they are, I biked across Austria.
  10. Yes, they are dull-witted, sad people who never laugh. Kim Cattrall made a great choice by avoiding this. She probably sensed how bad it would be.
  11. They didn't know about Noth's problem when they wrote him out. (I don't care about his errant behavior--that's his burden. I don't like the publicity around all these accusatory issues. Leave it to the courts.)
  12. Yes, of all the ruinations of the SATC characters, I must say Miranda is the winner. Where younger Miranda was smart, savvy, vulnerable, quick-witted and loyal, this old version has none of that. She's nasty to everyone--and it's downright offensive how horrible she is to her son, Brady. Though this completely miserable woman seems to have no joy, you would think the writers would insert a little mom-son love. But no. Miranda is a total beeeeatch. I'd like to see her--or ANY of them--actually smile with their eyes the way they did in SATC. I guess they always needed Samantha.
  13. I'm no prude, and I know SATC obviously had a lot of sexual expression in it. But this series is somehow "off" on that issue. The scenes are trying too hard and they somehow come off as cheap and seamy.
  14. Maybe it was previous episode...but what's with Charlotte's ridiculous affinity for those international dolls and foisting them on her children to adopt??!!! This is what I mean....these women are completely out of touch, like they just walked out of 1930!
  15. This series has a 5.4 rating on IMDB. That's about the lowest I've seen. And it has a 29% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, that's also the worst I've seen. It's a bona fide flop.
  16. Yes, the writing is terrible. Nothing makes sense, the characters are just sketches and very shallow. Horrible! Now I know why the critics panned it so badly.
  17. These women act as though they've been in a time capsule for a quarter of a century and just got dropped into 2021 with absolutely NO clue. Like they are brain dead and haven't learned a thing for 25 years. And Charlotte is the worst--I fast-forward the episode when she starts talking--and it spread to Harry who used to be really sharp and intelligent. Wow, this is so bad that you have to watch it, if you can stand it. I hope they don't bring back Aiden. I couldn't stand it if they destroyed the memory of that wonderful man! He was the best!
  18. I don't like these characters anymore! Miranda so darned cranky and nasty ALL the time! She's awful to everyone, especially unexpected with Brady. Horrible script, the writers messed this up terribly.
  19. What a bunch of selfish, immature, boring people! Gil is the only person who is capable of actually caring for someone. The more I see of Myrla, the more I don't like her. I agree with the experts, she's not cut out for marriage. Even when she speaks about the dog she's getting....no slobbering, no fur, no this...no that. Hey, why get a dog? So you can put it in a Gucci bag and walk down the street?
  20. Yes, he's a very good looking, very ambitious, very confused young man. He just doesn't know who he is yet, so he's trying to show people who he isn't! And it's very confusing!
  21. No, she wasn't previously annoying, but she's angry now and she did have to endure a heck of a lot of criticism from Johnny. She's obviously blowing off some steam!
  22. BRETT....THE GIRLS ARE DOWN AT YOUR WAIST!!! Learn how to dress!!!
