Hospice will also provide equipment:  hospital bed, commode, wheel chair, bedside fall mat--what ever is appropriate for the patient.  Also supplies:  diapers, wipes, bandages. meds--again whatever the patient needs for their care.  If you qualify for Hospice care, you are given GREAT, compassionate care.  I cannot say enough good things about Hospice.  I am so grateful to them for the care they gave my dad two years ago, and my mom this year.  They are also very supportive for the family.  I don't know what we would have done without them.

Yes, amazing services that grow as needed. I did find differences in services between agencies so ask around. The first once I had to source and pay for things that the second took care of.

I'm surprised Mary, who was not really Gothard and known to source freebies, didn't insist on hospice no matter what JB and M thought.

My dad did for the last couple of weeks of his life. They were so good to him. We didn't pay out of pocket for it. I think Medicare covered it. I don't quite remember.

I have a possible idea why they didn't! . My dad had a chaplain who would visit with him. Maybe they were afraid that the "wrong type" of Christian would come in?

Hospice gives you many services you can use but you don't have to take them. I was offered a chaplain, with I took because I knew my mom would be comforted by those visits. They also offered a social worker that I declined because I thought it would just confuse her but I did use them for information a couple of times. I wondered too why the Duggars wouldn't use hospice and figured it was for the same reasons they don't use any public services and that's the fear of government interference.

Debbie, no one wants to see your 70 year old tits.

I thought the wide leg pants and blousey top were good choices for the reunion if she would have covered her girls up with a lacy insert or a pin to pull the top together. I don't know why all these reality stars feel the need to fall out of their clothes for reunions.  Same goes for MAFS.

Just as weird, were the two hooded burglars who gave off a female vibe, just casually moseying up to the back door, chatting like they were talking about the weather before the one used the glass breaking tool on the door. It didn’t give me “real burglar” vibes. No crouching and checking to see if anyone was behind the glass first.  It all looked fake and acted out to me. I saw the whole video in the past where they then moseyed out with the big blanket and then set a big flashing light at the gateway. What was that flashing light about? Was this the phone Dorit said they left her? What criminal would post a siren like strobe light at the spot they just burglarized?

I got a "Bling Ring" vibe from the video. Also, when I saw them dragging the quilt out filled with a million dollars' worth of bounty, I was trying to imagine which Beverly Hills housewives were hiding under the hoodies at the producer's direction to give a storyline to the show. If not, housewives it was probably production assistants. Just kidding, sort of...

I have to admit I'm agreeing with Kara about not getting a computer for her little guy.  In theory, anyways.  In practice, she needs some lessons in open discussion, not this authoritarian position she's taking.   They're probably pretty broke.   First, doesn't everyone pretty much use their phone for surfing?  My son & nieces do for everything.  My old eyes need a bigger screen for the most part, but he wouldn't have that problem.  Second, I wonder why these people can't do something a little more productive while they can't work.  Can't they volunteer somewhere?  I had a volunteer position just playing with cats at the animal shelter.  Surely they can do something without a green card?  Maybe I'm all wet.

I had completely forgotten this. Years ago a friend had a girl friend come on a visa and they married. There was a Red Cross on the same block as their apartment so she volunteered there.

I took a walk down Snark Avenue this afternoon, thinking about how I cut my snark teeth on that daytime reality show with 4-5 hapless women living in a house in Chicago(?) the first season. I might have started my TWoP snark career when Iylana became part of the show (during her Oprah feud days). Hilarity ensued. I’d love to watch that show again. I’m wracking my brain—what was the name of it?

OMG, me too. Oddly I was just thinking how all my favorite reality shows are old, tired or gone and this one popped back into my brain it was called "Starting Over."

In fact my name is directly due to that show. When TWoP closed down many posters were lamenting losing their post counts so I made a joke there somewhere that my new name here would be Almost 3000. Most of my posts were from from that looooong, insane thread.

  7. Been catching episodes here are there and two things struck me, one disturbingly sad and the other is possibly the scientific discovery of the century. First, most of the round table ladies still held on to the long blond hair, puffed up boobs and lips aesthetic, long past their traumatizing Playboy experience. So sad that they still clung to that look after all this time. Secondly that Hef only had kids with his wives. His penis must have had a really good on off switch regulating his sperm. Now that's the item he should have been selling.

Both Anna and her sister Priscilla appear to be a tad… slow. I wonder if this is the case with their siblings?
I hope her family regrets her marriage to Josh. Of course they also have a child married to a Rodrigues, so who knows?

Somewhere in the vast posting at FJ I remember something about Priscilla being a difficult birth. Maybe lack of oxygen. I think Anna is just fine and would have probably done well with better advantages. Priscilla, who knows...

All that work they had that didn't work and they still filter their photos!  Didn't they got to Turkey for smaller tear drop boobs, I do not think the doctor knew what smaller tear drop meant, those girls are exactly where they were before, boobs taking up their entire mid section, no waist and still built like a fire hydrant.

Maybe next time they get work done it can include twin lobotomies.

Maybe I need to get my eyes checked but I can't tell that they had anything done. They just look like they gained weight, added lots of fillers and look all swollen up everywhere. Exercise would have been a better choice.

Odds on Mark the Shark having given himself that nickname? (I can't get over his terrifying crazy blue eyes.)

There was the relationship coach from Australia on 90 Day Fiance that had those eyes and viewers said he needed to check his thyroid. He did and it was an issue that he addressed. I wouldn't have known but he thanked the viewers for giving him the heads up on one of the follow-up shows.

I had this thought with regard to the above post about lack of actual books so they can make people pay to read on a kindle.  That's just wrong IMO.  I am not saying prisoners should be living the Life of Riley but honestly not even being able to access books without having to pay a fee every time they want to read something seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me.

I assume most prisons have a library. I volunteer at my local library's friends group and work with our county corrections to give them books we don't sell. They take pocket paperback and trade size only no hardback. For a long time they took magazines but something must have happened and they no longer take them. We gave them hundreds per year and other friends groups in the county gave too so they had thousands of books.

Really?  I had no idea Anna had any kind of education beyond her home schooling.  Would this allow her to teach in a Christian school?  (Not that she would ever attempt that.)

It was explained at the time it was more for those that would be homeschooling. So better than nothing but really just a non credited fundie piece of paper.

Other than the most recent nonsensical gossip from Miss Balls, is there any evidence Anna has been slacking on parenting?

Also, I followed part of the AMA with the bodyguard. IMO, there were a few inconsistencies.

Tuff Topic on Youtube has bodyguard info. It may have been pulled from the AMA.

Did you see the footage of Hilaria's husband letting the door nearly slam on her yesterday while he charges through ahead of her? The lack of basic courtesy with doors in this crowd astonishes me. I don't expect men to hold the door for me because they're men and I'm a woman, but I think it's good manners to hold the door for anyone behind you.

Thank you! I'm short and hate walking into a room and the person I'm with stops and I'm stuck there.  Happens all the time. Man or woman, I'd like to think there's some sort of social grace to be a team when entering a room together.

Was he correct when he told you the story of your life? So whoever he was reading on the radio had the same story?
I just don’t understand what you’re saying but by the way I am not a believer, I think she is a con artist.

He told me my story was the story of Cinderella looking for her one. Basically some basic stuff wrapped up in bit of a romantic package. This was a long time ago so the Cinderella story wouldn't have seemed offensive but may have fit many young women. He started his radio reading with the same fairy tale story and than pretty much the same points. So, yeah he was recycling his reading. Sadly this was before cell phones so I couldn't call the station to call him out.

FYI I booked him after seeing him on some local tv show. I did think he was full of crap after my reading so this radio reading just confirmed it. It's now become an expensive (for the time) amusement to me so all in all oddly worth it!
